Chapter 1011 Should Be Happy for Her

Meanwhile, Briar and Celestia helped Lola finish her bath, dressed her, and wheeled her to the vanity.

Lola looked at her swollen, rough face in the mirror, recalling Bonnie splashing water on her, Kimberly slapping her, and Dennis ordering someone to slap her too.

Just thinking about it made her ears throb painfully, and a wave of sadness washed over her.

"Hey, Ms. Flores, want me to help with your skincare?" Briar picked up a bottle of toner and smiled. "Mr. Hall personally bought these products. I know this brand; it's top-notch."

"Ms. Flores, you are really lucky," Celestia said softly as she brushed Lola's hair. "Mr. Hall treats you so well."

Lola's gaze fell on the brand logo of the skincare products, and she said numbly, "Actually, the best skincare brand is called UO. It's not available on the market; only a few people can buy it. I've used it before, and it's pretty good."

"Wow, Ms. Flores, you really know your stuff." Briar hadn't expected to be so ignorant, thinking Henry had bought the best and most expensive products, not realizing Lola had used even better ones.

Lola's eyes drifted to the clock on the wall. It was almost midnight, and Henry still hadn't returned.

Since Henry had been called away by a family phone call, she had been eating lunch and dinner alone. The usually lively Christmas felt so lonely, as if she were the only person left in the world.

Henry hadn't sent her a single message or made a single call all day.

She knew Henry cared about her and wouldn't leave her alone for so long unless the Hall family was forcing him.

Seeing her eyes dim, Briar said understandingly, "Mr. Hall must be dealing with something urgent. It's almost midnight. How about we wait for Santa Claus together?"

This reminded Lola of past Christmases with the Medici family, where everyone would gather, laugh, and stay up past midnight, keeping the Christmas lights on to symbolize that the light of Christmas would never go out and good fortune would continue into the new year.

Those times were so warm and beautiful.

This year, Winston's Stories photos showed fifteen hands reaching for cookies on a plate.

All fifteen sleeves were Santa red, indicating they were wearing matching family outfits.

In past years, she would wear matching outfits with Beckett and Kimberly on Christmas Day and post photos on Stories.

To showcase the family's wealth and status, she would intentionally include the most luxurious parts of the house, the famous paintings on the walls, the Christmas gifts, and the number of servants in the photos.

But this year, she was alone, while the entire Medici family was together, giving Abella the most memorable Christmas.

Even Steven and Dennis were wearing matching outfits.

How could she not be jealous?

The Medici family treated Abella so much better than they ever treated her.

"Ms. Flores, besides waiting for Santa, is there anything else you'd like to do?" Celestia asked again.

"There is something I'd like to do but can't." Lola's eyes darkened, and she said, "On Christmas, many families remember their deceased loved ones. But my birth mother is gone, and I haven't even seen my birth father's body."

"Actually, there's a memorial frame for your parents at home. Mr. Hall had it made."

Celestia's words made Lola's eyes light up. "What did you say?"

"There's a room with memorial frames for your parents. But Mr. Hall didn't tell you because he didn't want to upset you."

"Take me to see it!"

Celestia didn't hesitate and wheeled her to the elevator, heading to the basement.

When the door opened, Lola saw memorial frames for her birth father and mother on the wall, with their photos inside, and Christmas wreaths and flowers on the table.

Her tears instantly flowed, surprised that Henry had been so thoughtful to set up such a room in the manor.

"Mr. Hall cares about you, so he respects your deceased parents from the heart."

"He has us change the flowers daily. This morning, Mr. Hall cleaned the frames himself."

"Mr. Hall is really good to you."

Lola's tears wouldn't stop, and finally, with the help of the servants, she silently mourned. "Dad, Mom, you endured so much for me to have a good life, silently sacrificing so much. I swear here, I will avenge you! I will make those two bastards pay!"

After silently vowing, her tears flowed again, and looking at her parents' photos, her desire for revenge grew stronger.

At Long Island Manor, Beckett and Kimberly finished discussing tomorrow's plans with Abella, and Abella went to her room to take a bath.

After her bath, she saw a message from Phillipe saying he was home, along with several gift cards from her grandfathers, each better than the last.

The messages were from hours ago, but she had been busy and only saw them now.

In Rodolfo's vintage living room, the 3D mist fireplace's fake flames were still burning.

The grandfathers were sitting together, warming themselves, some lying in rocking chairs, some leaning on the sofa, some eating.

But without exception, everyone was looking at their phones, hoping for a reply from Abella.

Rodolfo checked his phone again, disappointed, and asked the other grandfathers, "Did Abella accept your gift cards?"

Kenneth immediately replied, "Not yet."

His expression was a bit dejected.

The other grandfathers also said Abella hadn't replied to their messages for a long time, let alone accepted the gift cards.

"I heard Abella was taking Phillipe to her house for dinner today, and then they were going to the Bourbon Mansion. She probably just got home now." Clifford said, looking uninterested. "Christmas without Abella feels a bit dull."

"Abella is so busy she doesn't have time to accept our gift cards, let alone come here to eat with us." Kenneth suddenly missed the past, remembering the two or three years when Abella spent Christmas with them.

Those were beautiful times that could never return, so distant and nostalgic.

"Abella has more people caring for her now, and her Christmas is livelier than ever. We should be happy for her!" Clarence said proactively. "Besides, Abella cares about us. Once she's done, she'll definitely accept our gift cards."
