Chapter 550 Rushing to Find Abuse

Everyone's jaws dropped. Abella knew how to play Go?

"Get this, Abella beat Mr. Wodehouse. Then folks from Innovation University accused her of cheating, saying her SAT scores were fake. But Mr. Wodehouse backed her up, saying he taught her Go and they've known each other for over ten years. He even suggested she inherit his legacy."

Brian, Josie, Joanna, and the others were floored.

Abella was just too amazing.

She'd really been keeping her talents under wraps.

Just then, the host called Joanna, Josie, Jenny, and Bella to the stage.

The four of them, representing Medical University, were up against Innovation University's medical team, and the crowd went wild.

"Abella, if we lose, it'll be such a disgrace to Medical University."

"Don't overthink it, just do your best," Abella encouraged. "We're here, so let's leave no regrets."

The four nodded and walked to the stage, a bit nervous.

The first match was a medical knowledge quiz, buzzer-style.

"Name at least ten core medical systems."

Someone from Innovation University buzzed in first. "Primary care responsibility system, three-level physician ward round system, difficult case discussion system..."

Joanna and Josie were getting anxious.

"What are the criteria for determining critically ill patients?"

Joanna tried to buzz in but was beaten by Innovation University. "Patients with cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, acute heart, liver, and kidney failure."

Seeing them rattle off answers, the Medical University team got more anxious.

"What is the first-choice drug for treating anaphylactic shock?"

Both teams buzzed in at the same time.

Innovation University was a second faster. "Epinephrine."

The second match was about getting a patient with a stomach illness to recover quickly.

Innovation University's team prescribed fast-acting, potent medicine.

Medical University's team focused on nurturing and protecting the stomach, which took longer and was milder.

"Medical University has already lost two out of three matches. No need for a third," someone from Innovation University's team mocked. "You should stop calling yourselves Medical University. We crush you every year."

"Looks like Medical University doesn't have anyone impressive. They brought a few people who study basic medical knowledge to compete with us."

The people on stage laughed, and the audience joined in, while the Medical University team clenched their fists in frustration.

"Our real ace hasn't even come out yet!" Bella said angrily.

"Are you talking about Abella? I heard she's here. Why not let her compete?"

Beating the best at Medical University would really humiliate them.

The four from Medical University glanced at Abella in the audience. They weren't sure if bringing her up would help or hurt their chances.

What if the next questions weren't her strong suit?

Abella, sitting in the audience, watched with amusement. 'Why are so many people eager to be humiliated today?'

She suddenly stood up and walked towards the stage.

The Innovation University team was momentarily stunned, then mocked, "I heard Abella skips classes a lot, and she dares to compete with us? Medical University must be desperate."

Abella walked onto the stage, her calm eyes full of confidence. "Classes are for those who need them. I don't."

"Big talk. Don't cry when you lose," the Innovation University team sneered. To them, someone who didn't even attend classes couldn't possibly beat them.

They stayed up late every night, determined to make a name for themselves in the medical field!

While Abella was skipping classes, they were absorbing medical knowledge!

They thought they had long surpassed her.

The Medical University crowd couldn't help but shout, "Too arrogant! Abella, crush them!"

"Show them there's always someone better."

"Abella, destroy them!"

Though the cheers for Abella were scattered, she felt the trust and encouragement from her peers.

Brian thought, 'Even though Abella doesn't attend classes, I often see her in the school lab with Rodolfo. They must be doing experiments. Even if she lacks a strong medical foundation, she must have learned something from Rodolfo! At least, it shouldn't be too embarrassing.'

Meanwhile, a Medical University professor on the judges' panel hurriedly called Rodolfo. "Mr. Wilson, Abella is up on stage competing."

"Really?" Rodolfo smiled, delighted. "I knew those Innovation University students couldn't resist. Seeing Abella, they'd definitely want to compete. Once Abella shows them up, many students will flock to us next year. Our Medical University will be even more popular."

The professor was puzzled. Abella rarely showed up at school.

How could Rodolfo be so confident in her abilities?

And how did he know she would go up on stage?

"Make sure the procurement department orders more beds, desks, and chairs for next year's enrollment. Our Medical University is going to be famous," Rodolfo hung up, still smug. "These kids are so impatient. Let Abella teach them a lesson."

At this moment, the captain of the Innovation University team looked at Abella arrogantly. "I heard you study medicine. What do you want to compete in?"

Abella calmly replied, "Let's compete in what you're good at."

"What we're good at?" The Innovation University captain was taken aback. "You're indeed arrogant. We're good at anatomy!"

Although Innovation University's freshmen hadn't had the chance to do actual dissections, they had all studied under renowned teachers in private, and their skills were above average.

They didn't believe a freshman from Medical University could handle dissections!
