Chapter 711 He Won't Be Coming Back
Ten minutes later, Abella spotted Gino making his way solo to the restroom.
Before he could even touch the door, she knocked him out cold, dragged him to the nearby balcony, and yanked the curtains shut.
The head of security saw Abella heading towards the restroom, and then poof, she was gone.
He got all suspicious, started looking around, and sent a maid to knock on the restroom door.
Before the maid's hand could even reach the door, a light cough came from inside.
It was just a tiny cough, so the head of security couldn't tell if it was Abella or not. He just stood there, keeping an eye out.
Behind the curtains, Abella transferred all the chat messages from Gino's phone to hers, set up some remote monitoring, and slipped the phone back into Gino's pocket. Then she hopped onto the roof and tossed a small stone to wake him up.
Gino woke up with a jolt, groggy and in pain, catching the head of security's attention.
The head of security pulled back the curtains and found Gino sitting on the ground, rushing over to help him up. "Gino, what are you doing here?"
Gino had a killer headache and vaguely remembered heading to the restroom but had no clue how he passed out.
'Did someone jump me?' Thinking this, he quickly checked his pockets. His keys and phone were still there, nothing missing.
He let out a sigh of relief. 'Maybe I'm just wiped out?'
Just then, someone walked out of the restroom.
It was Bonnie.
She walked with this mesmerizing grace.
The head of security glanced at her, feeling something was off.
Bonnie entered the main hall just as Abella returned from another direction. She smiled and asked Abella, "Did you get it?"
"Yep, it's on my phone." Not only did Abella get the chat records, but she also set up real-time monitoring of Gino's phone. From now on, she could see any messages Gino received or sent.
Bonnie gave Abella an approving look, impressed by her efficiency and capability.
At that moment, Abella saw Ulysses, Angie, and Derek coming downstairs with stern faces, looking like they had a disagreement.
Soon after, Gino got a message, which he reported to Derek, saying the target had been eliminated.
A flash of shock and joy crossed Derek's eyes. He seemed a bit incredulous, but Gino nodded affirmatively, indicating that their people had seen it with their own eyes.
Derek regained his confidence and invited all the guests to the garden to watch the fireworks.
Under the grand fireworks display, Derek invited all the guests to raise their glasses and drink. When the fireworks ended, he cut the cake amidst everyone's blessings.
"What could make him so happy?" Bonnie noticed that Derek had been smiling broadly, looking more triumphant than ever.
"Someone just sent Gino a message saying the target has been eliminated," Abella explained, "Maybe this person was a major threat to Grandpa Derek."
"Their major threats are only your grandfather and Caleb, but that's impossible," Bonnie said confidently, "They don't have the capability to eliminate them."
A servant handed them slices of cake. Abella took a few symbolic bites and soon noticed guests collapsing one after another.
Bonnie looked a bit wobbly, rubbing her temples.
Abella quickly grabbed her. "Aunt Bonnie."
She hadn't expected Bonnie's acting to be so on point.
Abella had already slipped Bonnie the antidote earlier, so whatever they ate now wouldn't mess with them.
One guest after another started dropping like flies, and then the lights in the whole villa dimmed.
Abella could feel a murderous vibe creeping up on her, as a dozen men in black swarmed her at once.
Another dozen men in black went after Bonnie. One moment she looked dizzy, the next she was kicking butt.
Her moves were sharp and deadly, taking down several men in black in seconds.
The folks hiding in the shadows were stunned.
"Bonnie's got skills like that?"
"What kind of moves are those? When did she learn them? Why hasn't anyone mentioned it before?"
"Bonnie hid her skills well! Who is she really?"
Abella was just as shocked. Bonnie, already drop-dead gorgeous, looked even more badass while fighting, not slowing Abella down at all.
In fact, in the next five minutes, the two of them together took down all the men in black.
In the darkness, Bonnie flashed a charming smile. "Uncle Ulysses, Aunt Angie, your men are really weak. Aren't you coming out?"
No one stepped out of the shadows. Bonnie laughed. "Hiding is so lame. And Uncle Derek, Aunt Naomi, if you're gonna kill me, can't you hire better assassins? These guys are just here to give me a massage?"
The lights in the living room flicked back on.
Several elders walked out, flanked by dozens of their men.
Abella saw that not only Ulysses, Angie, Derek, and Naomi were there, but also two elders she didn't recognize.
Bonnie smiled. "Uncle Yancy and Uncle Jerold are in on this too?"
This was a surprise for her.
"In on it? We don't even know where these men in black came from!" Derek said with a grin, "I didn't expect your skills to be so good. Doesn't look like you learned them recently?"
"Uncle Derek, you didn't just recently decide to kill me either. When did you start planning this?"
"Enough talk, you witch. We're gonna kill you!" Angie had long hated her. "And that Abella next to you will die with you."
Bonnie laughed. "Aunt Angie, you seem more ambitious than my father-in-law. Anyone who didn't know better would think you want to be the head of the family right now. My in-laws aren't even dead yet, and you're already so arrogant! Do you want to take their place?"
"Precisely because your in-laws are still bedridden, someone needs to take charge of this family, and you juniors need to be managed!"
"The one to manage this family is Caleb! If he finds out what you've done today."
Before Bonnie could finish, Angie laughed. "He won't find out."
"What do you mean?"
"Even if he does, he can't do anything about it!" Angie said gleefully, "We just got word that his plane exploded. He's been blown to bits."
"Impossible," Bonnie said firmly.
"Whether it's true or not, see for yourself." Angie opened her phone, showing a video of Caleb's private plane exploding in mid-air.
