Chapter 937 Dennis's Chosen Place

Dennis sneaking off early in the morning to ask Phillipe to pursue her was unexpected.

Abella suddenly found Dennis quite endearing.

"Dennis insisted, so if we don't go on a date, I won't be able to explain it to him," Phillipe said, making Abella chuckle.

"So, I have to play along?" She asked, amused.

"When Dennis speaks, we should listen," Phillipe replied with a smile. "Are you free now? If so, I'll come pick you up."

Phillipe's smile hadn't faded since he realized he had an ally in this.

"Alright," Abella agreed, curious to see how surprised Dennis would be when he found out about her and Phillipe.

On his way home, Dennis suddenly remembered something and called Beckett.

He had watched the surveillance videos from the abandoned building. Initially, he was so furious at Maria and Lola's actions that he overlooked one detail: a boy was angrily shouting at Maria to leave Abella alone and to come to him instead.

So, was this boy one of Abella's followers?

What other secrets did Abella have that he didn't know about?

Beckett recounted everything Caleb had told him, and Dennis was shocked to learn that Abella was the leader of A Gang!

In that ruthless place, A Gang had a significant reputation, but he never imagined that Abella was the one in charge.

In that place, A Gang was known for being the most ethical and upright group!

But that place was chaotic. He had sent a team there on a mission, and they were almost entirely wiped out. When he sent another team for revenge, they were also decimated.

The people there were too brutal and inhumane.

Eventually, the troublemakers ended up in Britonia, where he finally had the chance to avenge his fallen men.

So, how did Abella survive in such a dangerous place?

How old was she then?

Beckett mentioned that she almost died several times while trying to get medicine to save Vilma.

Dennis's eyes grew moist as he listened.

He never realized that Abella had endured more hardship at a young age than all of them combined.

Compared to her suffering, his previous injuries seemed insignificant. Abella was the one who truly deserved sympathy.

Thinking about Abella struggling outside while Lola lived a life of luxury in his home.

Just then, his phone buzzed with a message from Phillipe, giving the restaurant location.

"Turn around, head to Savory Haven," Dennis instructed.

Since Phillipe was picking up Abella from Long Island Manor, Dennis arrived at Savory Haven first.

The restaurant manager rushed to greet him, "Mr. Medici..."

"Clear the place," Dennis ordered, wanting Phillipe and Abella to have a better dining experience.

The manager quickly complied, offering free meals and coupons to the current diners, and then returned to Dennis. "Mr. Medici, it's done."

Now, only Dennis and Louie remained in the restaurant.

"Make the area by the floor-to-ceiling windows larger, move some tables and chairs, set up the best spot, get a few violinists, light some aromatherapy candles, and dim the lights..."

The manager, thinking Dennis was planning a date, hurried to prepare everything personally.

Dennis sat thirty feet away from the setup and asked the manager to arrange some cover so he wouldn't be seen.

The manager was puzzled. Was Dennis planning to catch someone in the act?

"Hurry up!" Dennis urged.

"Yes, Mr. Medici..." The manager quickly used flower arches and movable glass screens to create a layered space, allowing Dennis to see without being easily noticed.

Soon, Abella arrived, arm-in-arm with Phillipe, and noticed the entire restaurant had been cleared and specially arranged, with a relaxing floral scent in the air...

She immediately spotted Dennis in the corner, sitting across from Louie.

Were they planning to spy on them?

"It wasn't me who cleared the place," Phillipe admitted, glancing at the corner where Dennis and Louie sat.

The manager grew nervous, worrying that they would see Dennis.

"Two, please," Phillipe said, indicating their party size.

"Mr. Bourbon, long time no see. This way, please..." The manager quickly led them to their table.

As Abella passed by several tables, she asked, "Did someone book the whole place today?"

"No, no... It's just... the chef was late, and some guests didn't want to wait, so they went to other restaurants. Although our chef has arrived now, there aren't as many guests at this hour," The manager fibbed. "Here's your table."

Dennis watched with jealousy as Phillipe led Abella to their table, holding her hand. "Phillipe's already taking advantage of Abella? I told him to pursue her, not to get handsy!"

"Mr. Medici, Ms. Medici has to be willing too. You know her temperament. If she didn't want to be touched, she'd have kicked him several feet away by now." Louie's words didn't sit well with Dennis.

"What are you talking about! Abella isn't that violent, is she?"

Though Dennis's tone defended Abella, he lacked confidence.

Louie knew that Dennis was probably recalling the times Abella had kicked him.

Abella had certainly not held back before.

"Fine, let's keep watching," Dennis said, noticing Phillipe ordering from the menu without letting Abella see it. "Does Phillipe not know what respect is? On a first date, shouldn't the girl choose the food?"

Why was he making all the decisions?

"Maybe they already discussed what to eat on the way here. Mr. Medici, please calm down." Louie feared Dennis might cause a scene.

Dennis reluctantly held back his frustration and continued to observe.

After ordering, Phillipe looked at Abella with a doting expression and whispered, "Dennis picked a nice spot."
