Chapter 1097 Propose a Condition

Abella eyed the approaching drugged men cautiously, unsure of their vulnerabilities.

She had tried stabbing their temples, hearts, and stomachs, but nothing seemed to faze them.

"Get your grandparents out of here. I'll take care of the rest," Phillipe said, glancing at the advancing drugged men.

"You can't handle them alone," Abella replied, knowing that besides Phillipe, even Sam and the others were no match for these drugged men.

Phillipe was trying to buy her time, but it could cost him his life.

"Trust me," Phillipe said, slashing at a drugged man's arm. The blade left no mark, as if cutting through a lifeless robot.

More and more bodyguards fell, and those left had nowhere to retreat. The door wouldn't open, they were out of bullets, and the windows were too high.

Just then, T-Rex kicked Scorpion, sending him crashing into a pillar. He fell, coughing up blood.

Lola laughed, delighted at the sight of her defeated enemies. "I told you, you're all going to die here today."

Scorpion couldn't get up. He looked at Lola on the altar, wanting revenge but too weak to act.

His vision blurred, and he felt like he was back in the park with his parents, boating on the lake. He wanted to see their faces again, but then he saw Abella and the others cornered by the drugged men, far from him.

His consciousness flickered in and out.

Just as the drugged men were about to attack Abella and the others, Lola shouted, "Hold it!"

The drugged men froze, as if paused.

"Phillipe, if you don't want her to die horribly, marry me!" Lola demanded.

"Marry you, and you'll spare everyone here?" Phillipe's smile was mocking.

"Of course not," Lola replied with a smile. "If you marry me, I'll spare her, but everyone else will die."

"You won't even spare your old family?" Phillipe referred to Carl and the others.

"They deserve to die."

If Abella wasn't useful for controlling Phillipe, Lola would have wanted her dead already.

"Do you dare come near me?" Phillipe's cold smile suggested he might kill her in a fit of rage.

Lola blushed. "Not until our wedding night."

She had confidence in T-Rex, Night Hawk, and the drugged men.

"Dream on," Abella said, surprised that Lola still wanted Phillipe. Seeing the drugged men frozen, she dashed towards the altar.

"Abella," Phillipe called, worried that if the drugged men moved, Sam and Quincy wouldn't be able to handle them, putting the Medicis at risk.

Lola thought Abella was coming to kill her.

But Abella stopped ten feet from the altar, helping the injured Scorpion up, trying to get him out.

Lola signaled T-Rex, who moved to stop them.

Abella's swift moves sent T-Rex flying ten feet, clutching his chest in pain.

Night Hawk was no match for Abella either, quickly kicked to the base of the altar.

Lola watched in fury as Abella rescued Scorpion, cursing her useless henchmen.

Scorpion was surprised that Abella came to save him. He looked at her gratefully before passing out again.

Abella, supporting Scorpion, was helped by several people as she returned to the group.

"Are you okay?" Phillipe asked softly.

Abella shook her head.

"What's it going to be?" Lola called to Phillipe. "You have ten seconds to decide. If you don't agree, this will be your grave."

"Didn't Abella already answer you?" Phillipe's words reminded Lola of Abella's earlier "dream on," making her face darken.

Phillipe and Abella stood side by side, exuding a powerful aura.

Phillipe looked at Lola with disdain. "Even if you were the last person on earth, I wouldn't look at you, let alone be with you."

Lola was furious. "Fine, then you'll all die here today—kill them most brutally."

The drugged men activated, breaking bodyguards' limbs, smashing heads, and gouging out eyes.

Phillipe and Abella couldn't save everyone.

Sam and Quincy had to cover the Medicis' escape.

Another bodyguard was beaten, blood splattering on Winslow, who nearly fainted.

"This way!" Quincy called, helping Carl and Winslow towards a broken window.

Several bodyguards stacked dusty benches high, trying to help Carl and Winslow climb out.

Sam climbed up first, clearing the remaining glass from the window. He reached down to help the others up.

Carl and Winslow, too old to climb the shaky benches, nearly fell despite the bodyguards' help.

The drugged men, having dealt with the other bodyguards, approached.

Sam jumped down to fight them, buying time for Carl and Winslow, but he was soon thrown into the "bench mountain."

Carl and Winslow, finally on a bench, were knocked off by the flying Sam.

"Careful," Phillipe said, pulling Abella into his arms and kicking a drugged man back. He stabbed another in the eye, but it was useless. He kicked it back, retreating with Abella.

Abella saw a drugged man about to attack Phillipe from behind. She quickly left his arms, kicking two drugged men away.
