Chapter 597 You All Go Out First

Lola thought, "She's here, surrounded by love from her parents, uncle, and brothers. Does she even think about her sister across the ocean, all alone? Her sister came all this way to find them, but she doesn't even show a kind face. How can she be so heartless?"

Blake, tipsy, got up and said, "I'm going to wash my face."

"When I first got here, Blake was sober. How did he get drunk so fast?" Lola asked.

"The alcohol's hitting me now," Blake replied.

"Blake, don't you want to see me?" Lola smiled, but there was an underlying tension. "Did you give the concert tickets to Abella?"

Blake was surprised. 'How does she know? Did she confront Abella?'

He hadn't invited Lola because he feared she'd feel neglected, thinking everyone cared more about Abella.

Now, his worst fear had come true.

"Lola, Blake has given you plenty of tickets over the years. Abella just came back to the family. It's not too much for Blake to invite her to a concert, right?" Ethan chimed in.

Lola's smile deepened. 'Yes, if Blake hadn't taken those tickets from me to give to Abella, it wouldn't be too much. But he told me there were no tickets, then secretly gave them to Abella. Isn't that too much?'

"Ethan, do you think I'm wrong?" Lola kept smiling, looking innocent, but everyone felt she had changed. She wasn't the old Lola anymore.

She seemed different, unfamiliar.

A subordinate walked in quickly, sensing the tension, and wisely stepped aside.

"Speak up," James, sitting at the dining table, still exuded control, his thoughts unreadable.

"Mr. Harris, the 15% equity transfer document, a Rolls-Royce, a Koenigsegg, and ten downtown shops have all been registered under Ms. Abella Medici's name."

This was a gift from Darlene's father to appease James' anger and apologize to Abella.

But to Lola, it sounded like James had given 15% of his shares, two luxury cars, and ten shops to Abella!

This holiday, James gave Abella a mansion worth a billion dollars, and that wasn't enough, he gave so much more.

It was one thing for her brothers to be biased, but even her uncle was biased.

They all claimed to treat her as family, but in reality, they only cared about Abella!

"Additionally, the Pagani, Bugatti, three villas, and another equity transfer document have also been registered under Ms. Abella Medici's name."

It was paid to Abella by Angela's father.

But to Lola, it was extremely ironic, as if James had given Abella a grand gift.

"Got it, you may leave." James' expression remained calm, but Lola felt very jealous.

She would never forget, on the first day Abella returned to this family, their parents gave Abella twenty million dollars in pocket money.

And so many beautiful clothes, shoes, and bags.

They even handed over the fashion company to Abella to manage.

And she, Lola, had been pampered by her parents for eighteen years, but never received such treatment!

Now, James was lavishly giving Abella so many valuable gifts.

"You all leave first." James leaned back, still exuding an aura of superiority. "I'll have dinner with Lola."

Blake wanted to say something but got a look from James and had to leave.

As everyone left, Lola stirred her soup and asked with a bitter smile, "Uncle James, are you going to criticize me too?"

"Why would I criticize you?" James replied.

Lola's eyes showed a hint of disbelief. 'Is he different from the others?'

James continued, "You've been pampered for eighteen years, and then one day, a girl shows up, and she's the real daughter of this family. You find out you're not related by blood and are someone else's child. Seeing everyone shower her with affection, it's natural to feel a sense of loss."

Lola felt a pang in her heart, her nose tingling as she fought back tears.

James added, "But think about her. Because of a mix-up, she lived a hard life with the Wilson family for eighteen years. Now that she's back with her real family, it's normal for everyone to treat her well and make up for lost time, right?"

Lola looked up. It made sense, but she still felt jealous and sad.

"When she returned, who was the biggest threat to her position? It was you, who had been pampered for eighteen years," James pointed out. "But she didn't kick you out. She let you stay and enjoy the wealth and privileges that were originally hers."

Lola's eyes widened as she realized the truth.

"She wasn't angry or jealous that you had taken her place and enjoyed her privileges, causing her to live a hard life. She didn't hold it against you. Doesn't that show she's willing to accept you?" James asked.

Lola's eyes filled with tears, feeling stunned.

"From your conversation earlier, I could tell you have some minor conflicts. You were pushing your luck, but she didn't turn against you or threaten to kick you out. Instead, she calmly explained not to overthink. This is her biggest concession. But where is your concession? I don't see it."

Lola's tears rolled down her cheeks, and she stayed silent.

"You need to realize she was the one switched at birth. The family feels guilty towards her. She could use this guilt to kick you out. Given the family's guilt over the past eighteen years, do you think, once she speaks up, you have any chance of staying?"

Her brother had said this to her before. She knew the chances were slim, almost hopeless.

"Lola, you've been living in luxury for too long, forgetting this position originally belonged to her," James said meaningfully. "When she was living a hard life, treated as a jinx by her adoptive parents, beaten and scolded, you were enjoying the love and care from her parents, her brothers, her family. Think about it, if it were you, could you be as generous as she is, letting her stay and share your family and wealth?"

Lola bit her lower lip, clearly unable to.
