Sam quickly sent over several old videos.
The videos were grainy and low-resolution, but it was clear enough to distinguish the men from the women in them.
Sam also sent over some documents and screenshots of bank transfers.
"Ms. Medici, this is clearly a case of a homewrecker hiring a hitman. Nicole's mother was killed because of this person. Are you going to do something about it?"
Abella reviewed all the materials and finally understood what had happened.
It was Clara's birthday that day. Both families had planned to go to the amusement park together, but Nicole's family arrived first. Later, Clara's family got into a car accident, and Nicole's mom rushed over to help.
There was a truck lurking nearby, waiting for an opportunity, but there were too many bystanders to make a direct move.
If the incident became too big, the authorities would definitely investigate.

But because the driver died on the spot, there was no proof, and his family waited for over a decade without receiving the rest of the money.
That was money the driver had traded his life for, but Alina refused to pay.

Fearing that Alina wouldn't keep her promise, the truck driver secretly saved all their correspondence and gave it to his family before he died.

"Seventeen designs, with an 80-90% similarity. You call that a coincidence? If it was an accident, would QY be suing you?" Nicole didn't want to waste time with them. She had scarves to knit for her family before Easter. As she turned to go upstairs, Alina blocked her path.
"Honey, aren't you going to say something? Even if Katherine lost her inspiration and borrowed from QY's designs, accidentally going too far, they want thirty million dollars in compensation, not a penny less, and a public apology on social media. They're humiliating the Russel family!" Alina finished, glaring at Nicole with hatred. "All it takes is a word from her to get her friend to go easy on us. No money, no public humiliation, but she won't help! What kind of daughter wants to embarrass her parents?"
Nicole looked at her coldly. "I know what you're thinking. You're shameless, but I'm not like you."
"Honey, listen to her! I'm still an elder, and she talks to me like this! She's definitely in cahoots with them, trying to scam you out of your money and pocket it herself. Otherwise, why won't she help with something so simple?" Alina glared at Nicole, wishing she could kill her.
Chase, Nicole's father, had no choice but to speak gently to Alina. "You and Katherine were too much at the mall last time. You said her mom's been dead for so long, and it was a waste to buy flowers for the dead, then you stepped on her flowers. How could she not be angry? I saw the surveillance video. You and Katherine went too far!"
"But she said I wasn't her mom, just her stepmother, and that I had no right to discipline her..."

"Well, my mom's in the grave. Do you want to join her?"
Nicole's words made Alina furious. "Honey, look at her!"
If Chase weren't there, she would have torn Nicole's mouth off!
Katherine chimed in, "Dad, I've worked hard running my store and haven't made thirty million dollars. Now I have to give all my hard-earned money to someone else, and publicly apologize. "Honey, look at her! She doesn't care about this family. She's changed after all these years outside!" Alina was furious. Next time Chase wasn't around, she would make sure to teach Nicole a lesson!
