Chapter 940 Do You Acknowledge This Fiancé?

This movie was about the main characters, a man and a woman, who hold their wedding on a ship. The ship hit a reef, and the twenty-something guests and the couple were washed ashore on a deserted island. On the island, there was an old, abandoned house, and ever since they moved in, strange things kept happening.

As the plot unfolded, the movie became increasingly eerie.

Louie shut his eyes in fear, his heart nearly stopping. "Mr. Medici, there's a hand... I saw a hand..."

Someone had just walked onto the third-floor balcony when a pale, terrifying hand suddenly pushed her off.

The way she fell was so gruesome that Louie couldn't bear to watch. The movie's terrifying sound effects scared him extremely.

Dennis, with a cold expression, indeed noticed a hand!

That hand, at some point, had rested on Abella's shoulder!

How could someone else dare to touch his sister?

This Phillipe, he had got some nerve?

Phillipe could feel a murderous aura coming from behind him. Was it the movie's terrifying atmosphere that made it feel so real?

Seeing Phillipe pick up a soda and give Abella a sip, then take a sip himself, and even feed her popcorn, Dennis's face grew darker.

Did he wash his hands? Feeding Abella like that?

Did he care about hygiene?

"This level of horror isn't even a tenth of what you experienced in Triangle City," Phillipe whispered to Abella.

"Is this what horror movies are like these days?" Abella hadn't watched a movie in a long time, especially a horror movie. She didn't expect the most talked-about film recently to be so mediocre, even a bit boring.

But behind her, Louie was closing his eyes, gripping the armrests tightly, and biting his hand to avoid making any noise. To him, this movie was a nightmare.

"Mr. Medici, maybe I should wait outside?" Louie's legs were trembling with fear.

Dennis shot him a look that seemed to say: 'You dare?'

"This scene is too scary. I bet all twenty-something guests will die horribly before it gets to the main characters."

The main characters were the highlight of the movie, and who knew how many more creepy scenes were waiting for him?

Dennis didn't respond, clearly not open to negotiation.

He couldn't let Abella find out he was sitting there alone, or it would look like he was spying on her and Phillipe's date.

If he appeared with Louie, he could still explain that they had planned to watch the movie together.

In the movie, the strange occurrences in the old house were increasing, and the main characters, who had just held their wedding on the ship, hadn't completed the final step.

That night, the female lead was terrified because another relative had died mysteriously. Her eyes were red, and she looked particularly pitiful.

The male lead comforted her with a kiss, and soon they were making love on the bed.

The bedroom curtains fluttered in the wind.

Phillipe kept holding Abella's hand, turning his head to look at her beautiful face.

Gradually, his heartbeat quickened, and he leaned closer to Abella's face, almost about to kiss her.

"Fuck." Dennis couldn't hold back any longer, shouting angrily, "Phillipe, get away from Abella!"

Phillipe turned around to see Dennis storming towards him, fists clenched, ready to swing.

In a flash, Abella pulled Phillipe behind her, calmly looking at Dennis, "Dennis?"

"Abella, step aside. I need to teach this jerk a lesson!" Dennis was too furious to explain why he suddenly appeared there, his fists hard as rocks.

"Do you want to teach my fiancé a lesson? At least tell me what happened?" Abella said.

Did Phillipe do something wrong? But it shouldn't be enough to make Dennis this angry.

"You accept this fiancé?" Dennis looked at Abella in disbelief. "He's so petty, disrespectful, and takes advantage of you. How can you want someone like that?"

Abella's gaze fell on Phillipe.

"Dennis, you misunderstood."

Before Phillipe could explain, Dennis said, "If you're brave, don't hide behind Abella. Come face me."

"Dennis, aren't you looking for substantial progress?" Phillipe asked.

"I meant emotional progress, developing step by step. Not moving so fast with the touching and hugging!"

So Dennis was angry about that?

"Come here." Dennis was itching to punch him. "Are you scared? Afraid?"

"Abella, let me talk to Dennis."

"Talk, but no fighting." Abella stepped aside, her beautiful eyes watching them.

Her words forced Dennis to unclench his fists. He decided to find a chance to beat Phillipe up another day.

Louie didn't know how to intervene either. Mainly, Phillipe was too bizarre, too much.

Dennis protecting Abella was normal.

As Dennis walked to the side, he kicked a chair hard. "Can someone turn off these sound effects?"

The horror movie sound effects were still playing in Theater 1.

Louie immediately contacted the staff to turn them off.

The lights came on too.

The entire Theater 1 lit up.

Dennis walked to the side of the steps, glaring at Phillipe. "Come on, explain why you keep looking at your phone during your dates with Abella? Leaving her alone?"

Phillipe's mind flashed through many scenes, none of which involved leaving Abella alone.

"I am asking you a question!" Dennis, furious, caught Abella's gaze and backed down a bit. Was Phillipe still organizing his lies?

"Dennis, do you mean at the restaurant?" Phillipe remembered. It was only then that he looked at his phone for a bit.

"When else? Or are you saying you leave Abella alone at other times too?"

"Abella and I were discussing photos." Phillipe chuckled, explaining, "I took photos of her and sent them to her for safekeeping."

Louie was a bit surprised. He thought Phillipe and Abella had nothing to talk about and were looking up topics online. He didn't expect them to be sharing photos.

'Why do they take photos on the first date?' Dennis thought, wanting to scold him, but seeing Abella's gaze, he held back a bit. "As the heir of the Bourbon family, living so frugally, four dishes, packing leftovers, and making Abella pay."

Abella, not far away, spoke up, "I used his card to pay."

Dennis and Louie were both surprised.

"He gave me a no-limit card a long time ago. I never used it. Today, he asked about it, so I used it." Her words left Dennis and Louie stunned. So they misunderstood Phillipe?

"I asked to pack the leftovers because you added the dishes for me. I didn't want to waste them. Thank you, Dennis." Abella walked up to Dennis, smiling.

"How did you know I added the dishes?" Dennis asked, then looked at Phillipe, "Did he tell you?"
