Chapter 235 Ready to Risk It All?

Abella cooperated with him and took many photos until the carousel stopped spinning. Phillipe got off and held her hand.

"What do you want to play next?"

Abella thought that the amusement park rides were too childish. She took out the map and looked at it. The thrilling ones were roller coasters and bungee jumping.

"Are you afraid of heights?" Abella looked up at the man in front of her.

"I'm afraid of losing you," Phillipe looked at the girl, every word sincere, "I'm not afraid of anything else, just losing you."

Abella was inexplicably stunned by his confession and walked away without saying anything.

Phillipe caught up with her and held her hand. "Abella, are you afraid of heights? If you are, we can try something else."

Abella smirked, "Do you think I'm afraid?"

If the space wasn't so cramped, she could have snacked on melon seeds, provided there was a plate of melon seeds within her reach.

"Please fasten your seat belts." The staff reminded them nearby, "Make sure to fasten your seat belts! Safety first!"

After Phillipe fastened Abella's seat belt, he didn't intend to fasten his own.

Abella reached out and gently buckled it for him.

"Are you afraid of dying?"

"Not really," Abella said indifferently, "I'm more afraid of you becoming disabled and having to take care of you for the rest of my life."

Phillipe raised a wicked smile, "If I can have your company for the rest of my life, I would gladly accept that."

Abella glanced at him, did he have to curse himself like this?

"It's too burdensome for a girl like you to take care of me. I'll take care of you for the rest of my life," Phillipe held her hand and smiled, "Don't worry, for you, I will be healthy and safe."

The roller coaster quickly started, and the sounds of people screaming filled Phillipe and Abella's ears.

The uphill climb was slow, slow, slow, and then it plunged straight down. The roller coaster flipped over and bumped around, screams echoed in their ears.

Phillipe noticed that the girl remained unfazed, he didn't expect her to be so brave.

Of course, she dared to play with guns and led an entire organization. How could she be scared easily?

Five minutes later, the roller coaster stopped, and many people rushed to vomit.

Phillipe held Abella's hand and asked, "We rode the roller coaster together, does that count as experiencing the highs and lows of life together?"

A lifetime is too long, but those five minutes seemed like a whole life.

They seemed to have experienced various dangers and tests together, yet they never let go of each other's hands.

"I suddenly realized that every time I see you,

"Feels like riding a roller coaster.”

Abella looked up and couldn't help but ask, "When did you start liking me?"

Phillipe smiled gently, "The first time I saw you saving your grandfather in the hospital, I thought you were special."

At that time, he didn't know that he had already fallen for her.

Before meeting her, he didn't believe in love at first sight, and even thought that love was optional and not important in his life.

But after meeting her, all his thoughts and beliefs changed completely.

In all his years, it was the first time he wanted to hold a girl's hand, the first time he wanted to protect her, the first time he saw a future and a home with a girl.

It was also the first time he experienced the agony of missing someone.

His emotions were completely changed by one girl! He felt disappointed when Abella didn't reply to his messages and felt happy when Abella smiled at him.

"What do you like about me then?" Abella raised her eyes and asked.

Phillipe gently caressed her face and said, "I like every aspect of you, every expression, I like when you are angry, jealous, happy... I like your uniqueness that shines from within, and I like the light in your eyes when you look at me."

Abella shrugged, "In the end, you just like good-looking people."

"I like you," Phillipe corrected. "As long as it's you, I like everything about you."

Abella's heart warmed, and she changed the topic, "Where should we go next?"

"Up to you," he replied.

Abella arranged for bungee jumping and then they played whitewater rafting together.

In the narrow waterway, Phillipe held her in his arms, and both of them had happy smiles on their faces.

Next up was the haunted house.

Phillipe's gaze fell on the haunted house not far away; if Abella got scared, he could protect her!

"Let's go there," Abella said casually. "Just to see."

She wanted to see if the haunted house was scarier or if the red-light district she had once stayed in was scarier.

Hearing her tone, Phillipe realized that instead of an adventurous spirit, it sounded more like going shopping. The little girl had more courage than he had imagined.

Before entering the haunted house, they had to pass through a narrow dark passage.

Phillipe held Abella's hand tightly. "Watch your step."

There were many traps along the way, which they carefully avoided, and then they saw skulls hanging all over the walls with fake bloodstains everywhere.

This blood looks so fake, Abella thought in annoyance. They could have made it more realistic to create a better immersive experience.

The couple following them had already screamed in fear and ran back!

Was it really that terrifying? Abella couldn't understand. Although ghosts occasionally jumped out to scare them, Abella wasn't afraid. In fact, her cold and eerie aura startled the ghosts.

Was the aura of that couple too strong?

Further down the path was a secret room filled with coffins; they...

As soon as I entered, the door behind me automatically locked. There seemed to be no way out, only the sound of ghosts in my ears and the flickering of the shaking lights. "Don't be afraid," Philippe's voice was gentle.

Abella was a little scared, afraid that a ghost would jump out in a moment, so she couldn't resist kicking someone away. After all, she had several subconscious reactions just now, and if it weren't for Philippe, she would have probably kicked the actor playing the ghost into the corner of the wall in the next second.

Just then, a mechanism activated, and a dozen darts shot towards them.

"Be careful!" Philippe protected Abella in his arms and swiftly avoided many hidden weapons. Suddenly, several ghosts jumped out of the coffins and other corners, attacking the couple with knives. Abella pulled the curtain next to her and found that it had been stabbed by knives in several places.

"There's a problem!" Not only did Abella notice, but Philippe also realized that the attackers were not staff members. Their skills were obviously at an assassin's level! Who sent these people? Are they suicidal?!

"Abella, be careful." Just then, Philippe protected her and kicked one of the ghosts away, quickly knocking down another person who pounced. It was clear that these people were targeting only him! Are they his enemies?
