Chapter 653 Disrespect

Everyone was emotional, eyes red, watching the coffin being buried and the tombstone set up.

The crowd silently mourned Clara.

Snow fell heavily, blanketing everything in white.

Sharon stood in the snow, hugging the tombstone, refusing to leave. Zephyr stood nearby, crying at Clara's portrait.

The Wren family couldn't persuade them, so they thanked the guests on their behalf.

The guests left in an orderly manner.

Beckett and Kimberly wanted to stay with them.

Winston watched from a distance; the two figures in the snow seemed to have aged twenty years.

"Clara, I'll take care of Mr. and Mrs. Wren and keep them safe. Rest in peace," Winston thought, looking at Clara's photo, "Those who hurt you won't get away. Be happy in heaven. I'm so sorry."

Clara's portrait smiled brightly, as always.

Abella saw Winston standing in the snow like a statue and approached. "Winston, let's go. Let Mr. and Mrs. Wren have some time with Clara."

Staying wouldn't help; Zephyr and Sharon just wanted to be with Clara quietly.

Apologies and guilt meant nothing to them now.

"Okay." Winston finally looked away and left the cemetery, grieving.

"Winston, I found some clues last night about those people. I sent them to your WhatsApp," Abella said, knowing Winston wanted to avenge Clara.

"My team also sent a few clues just now, Winston. I'll forward them to you," Phillipe added, sending the messages to Winston.

"I found some clues too. I hope we catch them all this time," Winston said, his voice filled with sorrow and anger. "You guys go back first. I'll stay a bit longer."

He wanted to spend more time outside the cemetery with Clara.

Abella nodded and left with Phillipe. They skipped the funeral reception and returned to Long Island Manor.

"I'll ask my parents for my grandfather's address when they get back tonight. I might need to go abroad," Abella explained.

Phillipe gently wrapped a scarf around her neck. "Okay, let me know then."

"Be careful on your way back." Abella took off the scarf and put it back on him. "It's cold outside. I'm already home; I don't need it."

It was the first time Abella put a scarf on Phillipe. Looking into her focused, beautiful eyes, he smiled gently.

"Go inside quickly; it's snowing," Phillipe said warmly, "I'll leave after you go in."

"You go first."

"I want to watch you go."

In the end, Abella couldn't argue with him. Seeing the snow getting heavier, she quickly entered Long Island Manor.

Phillipe knew Abella walked fast so he wouldn't stay in the cold.

Abella reached the main building, turned back, and saw snowflakes falling on Phillipe. He raised his hand, seemingly saying goodbye.

Abella waved back and headed inside.

"Abella, I was wrong!" Lola suddenly appeared, looking sincere. "Steven punished me yesterday. I know I was wrong to badmouth you. Please forgive my childish behavior. I'm sorry. I'll change."

Abella glanced at the people behind her. Besides Maria, there were other servants cleaning. Was this a show for them? To prove she had apologized?

"Then tell me, what did you do wrong?" Abella asked, intrigued.

"I shouldn't have badmouthed you in front of friends."

"How did you badmouth me?"

"Abella, are you unwilling to forgive me?" Lola bit her lip. "Don't you believe I truly know I was wrong?"

"It's hard to believe. Tell me, what exactly did you do wrong?"

Lola wouldn't reveal her embarrassing deeds in front of so many servants. She pretended to cough, trying to change the topic.

Maria chimed in, "Ms. Abella Medici, Ms. Lola Medici is sincerely apologizing. She was sick last night and hasn't recovered. She's been waiting for you all morning. These servants can testify."

Lola coughed a few times, looking pale. "It's okay. Abella is still angry. I'll apologize again. Abella, what will it take for you to forgive me?"

"Didn't you hear me ask what you did wrong?" Abella's stern tone made Lola bite her lip in grievance.

"If you don't dare to say it, I'll say it for you." Abella didn't give her a chance to act, directly exposing her. "You told outsiders you're the real daughter of this family, but being with Phillipe was too stressful, so you forced him to break up with you. Who knew he was deeply in love with you and temporarily found me as a new girlfriend to make you change your mind."

The servants were shocked!

"Then Steven personally explained, and you, fearing for your status, pretended to apologize to me?" Abella looked at her indifferently. "Am I right?"

The servants looked at Lola in disbelief, and Lola could feel their burning gazes.

"Ms. Abella Medici, Ms. Lola Medici is sincerely apologizing to you," Maria repeated.

"Did I ask you? Is she mute herself?" Abella's cold gaze swept over, like a gust of cold wind.

The servants were all intimidated by Abella's aura. They didn't expect her to be so fierce!

Maria was furious but had to endure Abella's attitude to play her part.

Lola's nails dug deep into her palms, enduring the humiliation, just about to speak.

"I don't accept your apology." Abella brushed past her, not wanting to deal with her at all.

Lola watched her back, furious. 'This bitch Abella does it on purpose! She deliberately reveals the truth to make me a laughingstock among the servants! She deliberately doesn't forgive me to embarrass me! She deliberately uses this way to show off her pride and capability.'

Maria was also furious but said on the surface, "Ms. Lola Medici, Ms. Abella Medici misunderstood you. Your health hasn't recovered yet. Go upstairs and rest. Apologize to her later."
