Chapter 837 Ignoring

Although this building rarely had guests, there were several washer-dryer combos and vacuum-mop combos upstairs and downstairs, but Lola didn't know how to operate them.

She just threw her dirty clothes into the laundry basket and didn't sweep or mop the floor.

Abbie noticed hair on the floor and the trash can was full.

But Lola's room used to be cleaned twice a day to keep it neat.

Who would have thought that Beckett and Kimberly didn't even arrange a cleaner for Lola?

Now Lola was sick, and her clothes were piling up. She wouldn't have anything to wear tomorrow!

"Ms. Medici, let me help you wash your clothes," Abbie said.

Some of Lola's clothes were quite expensive, and hand washing was better than using a washing machine.

Lola's eyes dimmed, but she pretended, "No need, I'll wash them when I get better."

"You're so sick, you should rest well. Easter is coming soon, and it's important to take care of your health." Abbie quickly washed the clothes and hung them on the balcony. To avoid disturbing Lola's rest, she didn't use the vacuum-mop combo but instead swept the floor with a broom and then mopped it. She specifically chose a steam mop because Lola was afraid that regular mops would have too many bacteria.

Seeing Abbie busy, Lola suddenly felt it was necessary to win her over, at least to make things easier for herself.

Abbie then carefully wiped all the surfaces in the room with a cloth.

It wasn't until Milan called her that she went downstairs to meet him.

Although Milan found it strange that Lola was staying in the guest room and even stranger that Beckett and Kimberly didn't visit her when she was sick, he never questioned the affairs of wealthy families.

After checking on Lola, he respectfully said, "Ms. Medici, you have a cold. I'll prescribe some medicine, and you'll be fine in two days."

"Thank you, Dr. Mcpherson."

"Dr. Mcpherson, I'll see you out." After seeing Milan off, Abbie prepared warm water for Lola to take her medicine. When she saw Lola crying, she was startled, "Ms. Medici, what's wrong? Is the water too hot? It's my fault for not checking the temperature."

Lola weakly shook her head, her eyes red, and said, "I just miss my parents. I don't know when they'll forgive me. When I used to get sick, my mom would be so worried she'd cry, and my dad would pace back and forth, wishing I could get better in an instant."

Looking at the cold environment, Abbie was also moved. Finally, she left the building and went to find Kimberly again.

At this time, Kimberly had just finished her bath and was sitting at the vanity table doing her skincare routine.

Seeing her leisurely manner, Abbie couldn't help but say, "Mrs. Medici, Dr. Mcpherson has seen Ms. Medici and said she has a cold and needs to take cold medicine for two days. Ms. Medici is feeling very uncomfortable and is crying pitifully, missing you. Could you go see her?"

"I'm going to sleep," Kimberly said indifferently. "Everyone gets sick sometimes. Abella still manages the company when she's sick and performs surgeries for over ten hours on an empty stomach."

"But this time is different. Ms. Medici is all alone. Mrs. Medici, at least send her a message to show some concern?"

"What I do is my own business."

Seeing that Kimberly had no intention of compromising, Abbie could only bow her head and say, "Then Mrs. Medici, have a good rest. I'll check on Ms. Medici first thing in the morning. I'll head down now."

Kimberly watched her leave and continued applying her face cream.

Beckett, who was watching the news, was surprised by the buzz around Abella and Blake's concert. He had overheard some of the conversation between Abbie and his wife. He looked at his wife and asked, "Did Lola catch a cold because she got up early to make us breakfast?"

"Didn't you notice? We sent her next door to reflect, and she tried making breakfast and writing letters. When those didn't work, she conveniently caught a cold."

"You mean she's faking it?" Beckett was surprised. "But Dr. Mcpherson checked on her. Should we ask him?"

"No need. If she wanted to catch a cold, she would make sure it was convincing."

"You mean she deliberately made herself sick to get us to visit her?"

Kimberly finished her skincare routine and walked towards the bed. "It seems so. Let's see what she does next."

Kimberly hoped Lola would reflect properly, but it seemed she was only thinking about how to return to the main house.

Lola was probably influenced by Maria. In such cold weather, she dared to make herself sick, showing no mercy even to herself. If something happened in the future, would she spare anyone else?

Lola had shed many tears in front of Abbie earlier. Now, after waiting for a long time, no one had come to the courtyard.

After a while, Abbie sent her a message saying she had spoken to Kimberly, but Kimberly had no intention of visiting and even thought Abbie was meddling.

Lola felt a chill in her heart. She never expected that making breakfast, writing letters, and even having a fever would be useless. Her parents had really changed this time; they had become heartless!

Lola took a screenshot of Abbie's message and sent it to Maria: [I wore thin clothes and stood in the courtyard for five hours in the cold wind, but it still didn't move them. They no longer care about me.]

Maria was also shocked by this message. In the past, if Beckett and Kimberly knew Lola was sick, they would rush to her side, showering her with concern and comfort.

They couldn't possibly be so indifferent!

"There are still ten days until Easter. In the past, around this time, my parents would have designers come to the house to take measurements and design new clothes for the whole family. But today, there's no sign of that." Lola sighed.

In the past, designers would have already arrived by this time.

Because in the days following Easter, they would visit relatives, and Lola would change outfits up to nine times a day!

But now, she didn't even know if she would have new clothes for Easter.

Her new clothes always made her the center of attention, drawing envy from relatives and friends.

Just thinking about it made her feel glorious.

But this year, Abella might steal the spotlight!

What should she do? She couldn't let things continue like this! She couldn't let Abella steal the spotlight!

Thinking of that, Lola sent another message to Maria: [Maria, please help me. What should I do to make my parents forgive me?]

After a while, she received Maria's reply. 'Yes, that makes sense. That's exactly what I should do!' Lola thought.
