Chapter 519 Turned The Tables

The phones of both groups rang simultaneously. Phillipe's men saw that the caller wasn't Gabriel but Phillipe, and they were so scared that they immediately answered.

Meanwhile, Abella dialed Raymond's number. When Raymond heard the special ringtone, he thought something might had gone wrong and answered right away.

"Those are my fiancé's people."

No soon had Abella finished speaking, when she heard Phillipe say on the phone, "Stop, those are my fiancée's friends."

Both groups were stunned, looking at each other with the same incredulous expressions.

"Retreat," Phillipe ordered with a single word. The seven or eight subordinates immediately obeyed and left.

Abella, with great interest, asked, "You came to my doorstep, kidnapped my servant, and beat up my fiancé's people. What are you trying to do?"

Raymond was confused at once and thought, 'What doorstep? What servant? These people leaving were her fiancé's men?'

'What the heck is going on?'

"Are you looking for my brother?" Abella seemed to guess something, smiling with interest. "Winston Medici?"

Winston, who had been mentioned, was completely confused and had no idea what was happening.

"Winston, is your brother?" Raymond was stunned, looking at the luxurious building in disbelief. He asked, "Is this your home?"

"Well, duh?"

"Winston, is really your brother?"

"Yes."

"Do you know where he is?" Raymond didn't expect that fate would be so strange. "Carol had one last wish before she left."

Carol was Nicole's nickname.

After hearing what Raymond said, Abella looked at Winston and deliberately repeated, "Are you saying that Nicole's last wish was to see Winston one more time before she died? Just to shoot a video? Not to disturb his life?"

Just to look from afar?

Winston felt both heartbroken and moved as he looked at Nicole on the sofa.

"That's right, he is your brother. Do you have any recent videos of him? Send one to me, or show it directly to Carol," Raymond said.

If he had known Winston was Abella's brother, he wouldn't have had to fly back to the country for more than ten hours.

He blamed himself for not investigating thoroughly, but it was not too late now. Abella was right next to Carol and could show her the video anytime.

"Winston's recent video? Yes, I'll send it to you in a bit."

She was quite close to Winston at the moment.

After shooting a short video, Abella sent it over.

Raymond opened it and saw Carol lying on the sofa next to Winston, thinking, 'What the heck is going on?!'

"The Umbra League found Nicole's hiding place. Nicole and I fought our way out and came to the castle," Abella said succinctly, "Nicole is slightly injured but not in life-threatening danger. Her poisoning can still be treated. You don't need to come now; we'll fly back tonight, and you can see her tomorrow."

Raymond was incredulous, anxious, and excited at the same time. He asked, "Carol can still be saved? Do you have a way? Really?"

Carol's condition had already been declared hopeless by many famous doctors.

He didn't dare to hope anymore.

But Abella confidently said, "Yes, she can be saved. We've already expelled part of the poison from her body."

"How certain are you?" Raymond couldn't hide his excitement.

"Seventy to eighty percent," Abella said casually over the phone.

'Seventy to eighty percent?' he thought.

Raymond was overjoyed, overwhelmed by the great news. He hadn't expected Abella to be so capable.

Winston, standing nearby, also looked at Abella in disbelief and thought, 'Nicole can still be saved? Abella is confident she can save her? Seventy to eighty percent chance?'

Meanwhile, Lauren had been waiting for a long time without getting a reply from Abella. She saw the other group leaving in a hurry and worried that Raymond staying behind might pose a threat to Winston.

The key point was Raymond was acting anxious and excited alternately, like a madman.

Lauren picked up a long clothesline pole from the garden and quietly walked up behind Raymond, swinging it down hard.

Although Raymond was overwhelmed with joy, he was quick enough to catch the pole when he heard the noise behind him.

"I, I, I... I'll fight you!" Lauren couldn't snatch the pole back from Raymond and was both anxious and angry.

On the other end of the phone, Abella heard Lauren's voice and felt confused. 'Is Lauren personally teaching Raymond a lesson?'

"I'm Abella's friend," Raymond said, holding the pole.

"What Abella? I told you we don't have an Abella... Let go, let go..." Lauren stomped on his foot hard.

Raymond withdrew his foot in pain, and Lauren quickly grabbed the pole, ready to hit him.

"Abella, say something..." Raymond hurriedly put the phone on speaker.

"Lauren."

Abella's voice came from the other end of the phone, and Lauren's actions froze mid-air. "Why do you have Ms. Medici's voice on your phone?? Oh no, that's not right, we don't have a Ms. Medici... Don't try to fool me with synthesized voices!!"

"Lauren, Raymond is my friend. When you sent the video earlier, I forgot to tell you," Abella said.

At that time, Abella just wanted Raymond to stop quickly to avoid hurting innocent people and hadn't had time to reply to Lauren's WhatsApp message.

"Ms. Medici? Is that really you?"

Lauren had indeed sent a video to Abella earlier. She was overjoyed but also looked at the sneaky, crazy young man in front of her.

She thought, 'How could Abella have such a friend?'

'And a male one at that.'

"It's fine now; you can go inside first," Abella instructed remotely.

"Then I'll head inside." Lauren took the pole that Raymond handed over, still not fully trusting him. She felt that this young man was very strange, especially since he carried a knife.

"Your servant looked at me like I was a lunatic," Raymond said, watching Lauren's back as she went inside, finding it a bit funny. "So, where will we meet tomorrow?"

"I'll send you the time and place once it's confirmed."

"Okay."

After Abella hung up, she explained the situation to Phillipe and Winston.

Winston was very surprised and said, "Nicole has an older brother?"

"I only found out last night," Abella explained softly, "According to Raymond, they reunited a few years ago but didn't let the organization know."

"No wonder Nicole could hide under the organization's nose for so long. It turns out Raymond was helping her..." Winston glanced at Nicole beside him, wondering how long it would be before she woke up.

"You mentioned earlier that you have an idea to deal with those people?" Phillipe asked Abella, "What is it?"

Abella smiled and said, "The Umbra League will definitely send people to secretly obstruct and hunt us down once they hear we're returning tonight. I plan to lure some of them back to the country and then take care of them. Some people, due to their positions, will have to deal with their own people personally. Don't you find that interesting?"

"You want to deliberately increase their resentment. They will openly and secretly hinder us, and then you plan to catch them all in one go by holding onto their mistakes?" Phillipe understood and said.

"Exactly," Abella said with a sly smile. "I'll arrange the personnel tonight."

"I'll have my people fully cooperate with you."

Winston, standing nearby, was speechless.

Have you forgotten something??

Although he was involved, it also seemed like he wasn't really part of the discussion.
