Chapter 696 Do You Dare?

"Cecil, get my sister home," Henry said.

Cecil Ortiz, who was sitting nearby and too freaked out to say anything, had no choice but to follow Melanie after hearing this. "Melanie."

Melanie spun around and shot him a death glare. "All you do is hang with Henry all day, calling each other buddies. When you see Henry falling for a bad chick, you don't even try to stop him?"

Cecil felt totally wronged. He had just heard that his good friend was in Verdania and wanted to catch up and grab a bite, but Melanie got to him first.

Seeing their drama, what could he, an outsider, do? He could only keep sipping water to avoid drawing attention, hoping everything would chill out once they finished arguing.

But nope, Melanie ended up taking her anger out on him.

Cecil said, "Exactly, Melanie! You didn't see it, but I've been trying to talk sense into him! He just won't listen to me! I can't get what's so great about Lola either!"

Melanie went quiet.

Cecil added, "You know Henry's been chasing her for six years; he's obsessed. Even you couldn't talk him out of it, so what chance do I have?"

Melanie stood in front of the elevator, speechless.

"Melanie, just go home and chill. Leave this to me! I might not be able to convince him right away, but I believe if I keep talking to him, he'll eventually come around! Besides, if Lola keeps acting so reckless, Henry will get tired of her sooner or later." Cecil made a good point.

Melanie felt a bit more at ease. Lola might look all put-together on the surface, but she couldn't keep up the act forever! One day, Henry will see Lola's true colors, just like she does. Why force Henry and Lola to break up now?

"If you force them apart now, they'll only get closer. It's better to wait."

At that moment, the elevator door dinged open. Cecil quickly held the door for Melanie to step in.

"Melanie, go home, eat well, sleep well, and don't hold it against Henry. He's still young and dumb. Leave this to me, and I promise I'll handle it perfectly!"

Melanie pretended to glare at him, surprised at how good he was at sweet-talking.

"Melanie, goodbye." Cecil watched the elevator door close before heading back to the presidential suite. "Henry, didn't you see how pissed your sister was just now? And you still called me here? Luckily, I was quick on my feet. If I had been any slower, I might have been the one getting chewed out!"

"Aren't you fine?" Henry glanced at him, then sent a message to Lola, asking if she had eaten and if she wanted to join him.

"You're still texting her? Didn't you hear a word your sister said?" Cecil couldn't help but say, "I don't agree with you this time! Really, don't you think Lola's behavior is too much?"

At that moment, Henry's phone buzzed. It was a reply from Lola.

She said she wanted to eat alone.

Henry's eyes dimmed a bit as he looked at Cecil. "You haven't said why you came here."

Cecil was almost speechless with frustration. "I heard you were in Verdania, so I came to catch up and grab a meal. If I had known you only had eyes for Lola, I wouldn't have come!"

Henry stood up. "Let's go."

Cecil was stunned for a moment, then excitedly said, "You chose me over Lola?"

"Lola didn't choose me, so I chose you."

Cecil fell silent.

To Henry, he was just a backup option!

At Skyview Restaurant, Bonnie finished her steak and elegantly took a sip of red wine. "Abella, I'm going to the restroom."

"Okay." Abella looked at the table loaded with delicious food, way more than they could finish. Bradley had sent over seven or eight dishes, and the two of them were stuffed.

Just then, Lola strutted into the restaurant and immediately spotted Abella by the window.

Still fuming from what happened on Riviera Avenue, she stormed towards Abella in her high heels.

But she got stopped after just a few steps.

"Excuse me, miss, do you have a reservation?" the server asked politely.

"I know her." Lola nodded towards Abella sitting by the window.

The server saw it was Abella, Bonnie's niece. 'Does this girl know her? They look about the same age; maybe they're friends?'

"Would you like me to get you a chair?"

"No need, I just need to say a few words to her." Lola walked towards Abella, scoping out the scene. Abella's seat was conveniently blocked from the nearest camera by a support pillar, and the distant cameras weren't aimed this way either.

She also noticed that the nearby tables were far away, and the servers were busy clearing dishes, not paying attention to this side.

There were only a few customers, and none of them knew her.

Feeling lucky, she grabbed an unfinished glass of champagne from a nearby table and angrily splashed it towards Abella.

Abella, admiring the night view through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, saw an angry figure reflected in the glass.

The person threw a drink at her, but Abella reacted quickly, pulling down a napkin to block it and swiftly standing up to avoid it. At the same time, she grabbed a glass of red wine from the table and splashed it on the attacker.

Lola didn't expect her champagne to only slightly splash Abella, nor did she expect Abella to drench her in red wine.

The red wine flowed from her beret down her face and from her neck into her clothes.

Her pink suit was stained with red wine. She screamed and, before she could react, Abella pinned her to the table.

Her left cheek was forced into intimate contact with the steak on the plate.

Bradley and several servers rushed over but hadn't spoken when Abella said, "I'll handle this myself."

Bradley and the servers were shocked at Lola's audacity to splash champagne on Abella in public.

Especially since Bonnie was present today!

This girl must be out of her mind, a lunatic, to dare offend Bonnie's niece.

"What are you doing? Let go of me!" Lola had planned to splash champagne on Abella and leave, thinking Abella would be too busy dealing with the mess to care who did it.

But Lola didn't expect Abella to react so quickly, and the champagne only slightly splashed her, which was infuriating.

"Have I been too nice to you?" Abella pinned her down, a bit angry. She had treated her like a clown, ignoring her, but now she was getting out of hand.

"Do you like splashing drinks on people?" Abella glanced at the red wine on the table. "Too bad this is a 1945 Romanée-Conti, worth a million dollars. I can't bear to waste it. Mr. Ramsey, do you have any cheaper wine?"

Bradley quickly said, "Ms. Medici, we have a 1951 Chivas Regal, priced at fifty-six thousand dollars a bottle."

"Bring me two bottles."

"Abella, what are you doing?" Lola struggled but couldn't break free, so she threatened, "You wouldn't dare!"

"If you dare to do it in public, why wouldn't I dare?" Abella had the wine opened, pinned Lola to the table, and poured both bottles over her face.
