Chapter 1032 Seeking Help from Abella
Abella brought a fruit platter to the servants. "Hey, take a break and have some with me."
The servants were touched. Lola would never share food with them, thinking it was beneath her. But Abella was different; she was so kind and approachable.
After Abella went downstairs, a crowd of guests swarmed her, showering her with gifts and compliments about her beauty and talents. Some relatives even pushed their children towards her.
"Abella, I'm your cousin Nicolette. I love calligraphy, especially yours. Can you teach me?"
"Abella, my name is Atticus. Can you teach me to paint? I want to be a great artist like you when I grow up!"
"Abella, can you teach me to play Go?"
"Abella, I saw your piano videos. They're amazing! Can you take me as your student? I'm your cousin Liliana."
Abella looked at the seven or eight kids who had appeared out of nowhere. Before she could respond, more relatives crowded around.
"Move aside, kids. Abella, I'm your eldest aunt, Katerina. I have a relative who's paralyzed. I heard you can even revive people in comas. Can you help her?"
"Abella, I'm your second aunt. I've had this scar for years, and nothing works. Can you help? I heard you have your own skincare line. Can you recommend something for me?"
"Abella, can you treat hair loss? I've been losing hair for years."
"Abella, can you cure athlete's foot? I can't take off my shoes at other people's houses because of the smell."
Beckett and Kimberly had just seen off a group of guests when they noticed the crowd around their daughter, asking her to take students and cure ailments. They rushed over to help.
"These are minor issues. I know several great doctors. You can come to me, and I'll recommend someone. Abella is skilled in surgery, but it's specialized," Kimberly said, stepping in front of Abella.
Just then, Lauren called out, "Ms. Medici, you have a call."
"Excuse me," Abella said, seizing the opportunity to leave.
"Abella, don't go! Paralysis isn't a minor issue!" Katerina tried to follow.
Kimberly blocked her. "You're putting too much pressure on a child. Abella is praised for her medical skills, but she's not a miracle worker. The person you mentioned has been paralyzed for years. It's unrealistic to expect her to walk again."
Blake was also trying to escape the guests' clutches.
"My niece Hermione skipped grades in middle and high school, graduated from a prestigious university, and is well-behaved. She's perfect for Blake."
Another guest scoffed, "My daughter Felicity was the most beautiful girl in school from elementary to college. She speaks six languages and will inherit our family business."
"My granddaughter just started her first year at drama school and is already getting roles. She may not be as famous as Blake yet, but she's accomplished. Our family is well-off, and she and Blake would have common ground in the entertainment industry."
Blake saw the women arguing and had to intervene. "Ladies, please..."
"Have you seen your daughter?"
"How dare you! My daughter has more charm. She has many admirers at school!"
"Calm down, everyone. I appreciate your concern for my marriage."
Before Blake could finish, all eyes were on him.
"Blake, do you like Evangeline?"
"Blake, tell me honestly, do you like Cordelia?"
"Blake, just tell us your criteria for a partner."
Blake didn't expect to be put on the spot.
Just then, Abella walked in, and Blake had an idea. "Everyone, I have a girlfriend, but we can't go public due to our status."
"What?" Everyone was shocked.
"Whose daughter is she? Better than Evangeline? Or do you just not like Evangeline?"
"Blake, do you really have a girlfriend?"
"I spoke to your mom yesterday, and she said you're single."
"You can ask Abella," Blake said, pulling Abella close. "Abella, tell them I'm dating Clare."
"Clare? From the Fischer family?"
The guests were stunned. The Fischer family was far above everyone present. If Blake were dating Clare, their children had no chance.
"If it's true, just nod," Blake said, looking at Abella with pleading eyes.
Abella knew he was lying, but nodded obediently.
The guests were disheartened. They had no idea Blake already had a girlfriend.
"Sorry, company policy prevents us from saying more. Please understand."
"Congratulations, Blake. Clare is exceptional. I'm happy for you."
Abella noticed the speaker didn't look happy.
"Yes, with a girlfriend like Clare, your parents won't worry about your marriage. We won't either."
The guests started making polite conversation, as if the argument had never happened.
Abella was amazed.
"By the way, Abella and I have a business meeting with our agents. We need to go," Blake said, finding an excuse to leave with Abella.
