Chapter 745 Very Angry

Bonnie dropped the bomb. "Abella is actually the world-famous piano genius, Anika."

Vanessa and David were floored. After a moment of stunned silence, they started gushing.

"I freakin' love Anika's music," Vanessa said, all hyped up. "Whenever she drops a new track, I play it non-stop—at home, outside, morning, night—I'm obsessed. Seriously, I can't get enough."

"For Vanessa's birthday, I even tried to book Anika for a private performance, no matter the cost," David chimed in. "But I couldn't track her down. The piano association said she was unreachable. Who would've thought, Abella is Anika all along!" David was blown away and thrilled. If they'd known sooner, they might've reconnected with Abella earlier.

"This calls for a celebration! We've got a medical whiz and a piano prodigy in the family. David, we need to think of something special to reward Abella," Vanessa said, buzzing with excitement.

Abella was about to say it wasn't necessary, but Bonnie nudged her. This was too good an opportunity to pass up; Lola needed to hear what kind of reward a piano master would get! So she wouldn't get too cocky just because she won first place in a piano competition.

Abella caught on to Bonnie's little plan and couldn't help but smile.

Bonnie didn't mean any harm, but Lola found the whole thing super embarrassing.

"Didn't I win a tanzanite at that auction? Let's give it to Abella!" Vanessa said, and Lola's face fell.

Tanzanite is a thousand times rarer than diamonds, and the one Vanessa won was the rarest of the rare!

The coolest thing about this stone is that it shows different dazzling colors from different angles, and even changes colors with different light sources.

If Lola remembered right, Vanessa dropped four million dollars on that stone. Vanessa cherished it like crazy, and now she was just handing it over to Abella?

"Then I'll give Abella the natural wild pearl I won at the auction," David said, not to be outdone.

Bonnie grinned and said, "Abella, your grandpa spent over twenty million dollars on that pearl. It weighs 0.66 pounds and is shaped like a Buddha. He's always loved it for its beautiful meaning. Now that he's giving it to you, it shows how much he values your achievements."

Bonnie added with a smile, "And the tanzanite your grandma is giving you is just as precious."

Abella was floored by her grandparents' generosity and said warmly, "Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma."

"Abella, no need to thank us. It's the Harris and Medici families' luck to have someone as amazing as you."

Lola, standing off to the side, was fuming. Her grandparents had just given her stuff worth two hundred thousand dollars, but for Abella, they were shelling out eight million dollars' worth of treasures!

The gap was huge.

Even if Abella was Anika, did she really deserve all that?

This was straight-up favoritism!

"Lola, Abella's achievements are off the charts. Just being Anika puts her miles ahead of everyone else. Not just her peers, but in the whole scene, her status is untouchable," Bonnie chimed in.

"When you hit those kinds of heights, we'll reward you big time too. We're not playing favorites," Vanessa added, but Lola wasn't buying it. They knew she couldn't become the next Anika or Abbott anytime soon, yet they made such promises, knowing she couldn't reach that level.

It was just empty words.

Lola put on a show, saying, "Abella is so amazing that I feel honored and proud. Grandpa and Grandma, you flatter me. I'm already thrilled with Abella's brilliant title and wouldn't mind this little reward. In the future, I'll take Abella as my role model, strive to catch up with her, and bring glory to the family together."

Her eyes sparkled with fake hope and confidence. Vanessa smiled and said, "I know you're not petty. I just wanted to tell you that we'll try to treat everyone fairly."

Lola smiled. "Abella just got back to the family. Even if Grandpa and Grandma spoil her a bit more, so what? I've already gotten a lot over the years. If Grandpa and Grandma neglected Abella, I wouldn't stand for it!"

David and Vanessa were amused and comforted by her words. Indeed, Lola was the understanding and kind child they always cherished for being sensible and considerate.

"Is everyone here?" Caleb walked in after finishing his work. He noticed Vanessa. "Mom, you're here? Just got in?"

He'd heard last night that Vanessa was coming today, so he wrapped up work early and rushed home.

"Caleb," Vanessa couldn't help but say, "You're just in time. Guess what other identity Abella has?"

Caleb saw everyone grinning, waiting for his guess. He instinctively looked at Abella. 'Could it be that her identity as the leader of The A Gang has been discovered? No way. If they knew, they wouldn't be so happy. What other identity could Abella have that I don't know?'

"Just spill it already; he won't guess it even by nightfall," Bonnie said with a laugh, "Abella is the world-renowned piano master, Anika."

Caleb was floored. After listening to everyone for a bit, he finally got Vanessa's hint: he needed to give a reward.

"Mom, Dad, you all have already rewarded her, so I naturally have to step up too. Bonnie, how about we give Abella that famous painting we won two years ago?"

"I have no objections."

Caleb immediately had someone bring it over.

Lola almost fainted with rage. She knew that the famous painting Caleb won a year ago had caused a huge buzz and was bought for eight million dollars.

Now, it was worth even more!

So, just for being Anika, Abella raked in nearly twenty million dollars' worth of rewards!

Lola couldn't handle it.
