Chapter 11 I Am His Fiancée

Bennett had only been seated for a short while when the waiter started serving Molly.

"Sister, what dish is this?" Bennett reached out to stop the waiter serving Molly and blinked his big eyes, inquiring.

The little boy was cute, with a polite voice, and the waiter couldn't help but pause and smile at him.

"This is fillet steak. If you want to eat it, have your guardian order it for you!"

Bennett smiled and looked at the waiter, nodding appreciatively, "Thank you, sister. You're really beautiful!"

The woman in her forties was flattered by the boy's address of "sister" and even walked a little quicker while delivering the dish.

"Do you want to eat that steak?" Violet asked, furrowing her brows.

Bennett grinned cunningly and responded, "Nope."

"Then why did you just..." Violet's words were interrupted by Bennett.

"Let's make a bet!" The little one took Violet's phone and opened the stopwatch. "I bet that within ten seconds, that woman will be rendered unable to finish her meal."

Violet looked skeptical, "She just started eating."

Before she could finish, Bennett interrupted her, "Five, four, three, two..." Bennett placed the phone on the table, triumphantly continuing the countdown, "One."

With a loud "crash," Molly, not far away, threw her knife and fork down with a displeased expression.

Violet looked at Molly's figure rushing into the restroom in shock.

"This..."

The little one smirked mischievously before lowering his head to eat his spaghetti.

...

Molly stayed in the restroom for a full half hour.

She had only taken a single bite of the steak!

Even if it upset her stomach, it shouldn't have happened so quickly!

The woman returned to the table, completely drained.

There was a small note under her chopsticks.

On the note, delicate and elegant handwriting neatly wrote a line, "The price of doing wrong."

Molly angrily tore up the note and shouted, "Get your manager and check the surveillance cameras!"

She wanted to see who has the audacity to do this to her!

"Sorry, Miss Collins, the system in the store was just hacked, and all the recorded videos on the surveillance have been erased..."

"Worthless!"

Standing in the surveillance room, she directly threw the glass of water in her hand at the computer screen.

The glass and the monitor collided, making a loud noise.

It must be Adeline! It must be her!

Ten o'clock at night.

The black Maserati stopped in front of the Blue Bay. Jasper ended his last international call and got out of the car, exhausted.

As he habitually walked towards the bedroom door, the man paused in his tracks.

He turned his head and glanced at the children's room at the end of the hallway, then strode in.

The children's room was empty.

"Sir, you're back."

Hearing the commotion from the children's room, the butler of the villa approached, "Are you looking for Lauren?"

Jasper frowned slightly, "Where is she?"

The butler sighed, "Lauren insisted on sleeping with Adeline, and there's only one children's bed in the room..."

"So, Lauren went to the downstairs servant's room to sleep with Adeline."

He carefully observed the man's expression, "Should we wake up Adeline now and bring Lauren back?"

Jasper didn't say a word, but turned and went downstairs.

He stood in front of Adeline's closed door. The butler understood and quickly took out the key to open the door.

The room was dimly lit, with only a bedside lamp on.

He strode in, looking down from above at the two women on the bed, one big and one small.

Adeline was wearing light gray pajamas, holding the pink Lauren in her arms.

Although the women were already asleep, Adeline's arm was still protecting Lauren's injured face.

For some reason, at this moment, Jasper actually felt a touch of warmth in this scene.

He chuckled self-deprecatingly, thinking he must be going crazy.

Lauren was their daughter, the witness of their love.

And this Adeline in front of him was just a deceitful maid trying to get close to him for her own gain.

After a while, the man turned and left.

"Add another bed in the children's room tomorrow."

"Yes!"

The door to the room was closed, and the footsteps in the hallway faded away.

Under the moonlight, Adeline opened her eyes and a cold smile appeared on her lips.

...

The peaceful night passed. The next day, Adeline got up early and started making breakfast for Lauren. She also made a serving for Jasper.

When they were together, she always made every breakfast for Jasper with her own hands.

She just didn't know if his taste had changed after six years.

When she brought breakfast to the table, Lauren had finished washing up and came out in her pajamas.

"Wow, breakfast has my favorite waffles!"

The little girl's eyes lit up, and she ran straight to the chair and sat down, "The breakfast looks so tasty!"

"Does it?" Before she could finish her words, a low and laughter-filled voice came from upstairs.

Lauren looked up and saw the man who was coming down the stairs.

Proud, noble, and handsome to the point where she didn't know how to describe it.

The little girl's face inexplicably turned red, "Daddy, good morning."

This was her daddy, the daddy she had just recognized yesterday!

"Good morning."

The man sat down across from her with a faint smile.

Lauren picked up a small piece of waffle from her bowl and placed it in front of Jasper, "Daddy, try it, Auntie made delicious waffles!"

Jasper glanced at the dessert untouched in front of her, "You haven't eaten it yourself, how do you know it's delicious?"

Lauren smiled awkwardly as she said, "I guessed!"

After speaking, the little girl picked up a piece and stuffed it into her mouth, "It's really delicious!"

Looking at her chubby face, the man asked, "Does it still hurt?"

Lauren paused, realizing that he was probably asking about her own face.

"It hasn't hurt for a long time." Speaking of this, she secretly glanced at Adeline standing next to her.

"Daddy, why don't you ask Auntie if she's in pain? She got hurt worse than me yesterday."

Jasper lowered his head, eating his breakfast and said casually, "She's an adult, she can handle pain. Even if she does, I don't need to care."

Lauren lowered her head, silently biting her lip.

After breakfast, Jasper left.

The butler continued to familiarize Lauren and Adeline with the villa.

Blue Bay was actually quite big, and for Lauren, who was here for the first time, everything was filled with unknowns and surprises.

But for Adeline, it was revisiting an old place.

She was not interested throughout the entire morning.

Everywhere here held memories of her and Jasper, each memory reminding her of how foolish her infatuation was for that man.

During lunch, Lauren didn't have much appetite and only ate a little.

Adeline thought she might not be adjusting well to the country yet, so she went out during Lauren's nap time to buy some oranges that she liked.

However, just as she came out of Blue Bay, a red Ferrari stopped beside her.

The car window rolled down, revealing Molly's arrogant and proud face, "Let's have a chat?"
