Chapter 724 Nova, Stop Him
Adeline stared at the photo Brandon had sent her, feeling something was off.
As a jewelry designer, she had a photographic memory for these kinds of things.
When Leo had given her the jade ring, she had only held it briefly without studying it closely but something felt wrong.
The jade ring in the photo, while identical in material under the light, had different patterns and textures. Adeline frowned; it didn't look right at first glance.
Thinking it might be her imagination, she examined the photo again, trying to recall how the ring had felt in her hand; it still felt wrong.
Adeline bit her lip and couldn't help but reply to Brandon: [Brandon, are you sure this is the one? It feels different.]
On the other end, Brandon frowned, glancing at the ring on the table in front of him.
Different? The ring Leo had given Adeline was supposed to be this exact jade ring.
But to get Adeline to meet him, he cautiously replied: [Maybe my photography skills are just terrible. It looks different in the photo. Let's meet up. I'll give it to you in person, and you'll see.]
Lying in bed, Adeline read Brandon's reply and frowned silently: [Okay.]
Brandon: [Three days from now, at Lucky Restaurant.]
After sending the message, Brandon put down his phone and looked at his assistant, who was busy tracking a signal on the computer.
"Have you found where her signal is coming from?"
The assistant, sweating profusely, shook his head, "Mr. Torres, it's not that I don't want to find it; but I really can't."
He pointed nervously at the computer screen.
"Ms. Wilson's phone signal shows it's coming from Blue Bay in Radiance Springs. But as you know, she hasn't left Oceancrest City. And Blue Bay in Radiance Springs has been a ruin for a long time."
Brandon glared at him coldly. "Useless!"
He turned and sat back on the couch, rubbing his temples in frustration.
Redirecting Adeline's signal to Blue Bay in Radiance Springs that was definitely not something Adeline could do herself.
He thought of Blake, the silent computer genius who was unrivaled in Oceancrest City.
Brandon narrowed his eyes. He had helped Adeline raise three children, thinking he could use them as leverage once he controlled her.
After all, these three children were heirs of both the Phoebe family and the Foster family.
Such leverage could benefit him greatly with either family.
But he hadn't anticipated that, six years later, Blake, one of those very kids, would outsmart him!
Brandon took a deep breath, exhausted.
"Bring more men. We'll ambush near Lucky Restaurant in three days."
He had to find Adeline's hiding place.
Then he could have Randy or Daisy ambush her home.
That way, he could bring Adeline back to the Torres family Mansion and show her his dedication, making her soften and agree to an early engagement!
With Molly dead, Adeline's identity would soon be discovered by the Phoebe family.
He had to marry Adeline before the Phoebe family reclaimed her!
After Brandon's order, the assistant hesitated before speaking, "Mr. Torres, we don't have any more men. Half a month ago, you sent almost everyone to hunt down Jasper. If we need more men for the ambush, we'll have to recall those searching for Jasper."
Brandon frowned, "No. Jasper is definitely still alive. The Foster family hasn't held a funeral, and they haven't left Oceancrest City. That means he's still alive and well in Oceancrest City!"
He couldn't recall the men searching for Jasper!
He suddenly looked up, "What about the men tracking Oliver?"
The assistant replied, "He's been pretty quiet lately. Since coming back to Oceancrest City, he moved out of the Phoebe Mansion and into Swan Villa in the south."
Brandon narrowed his eyes, "No weird behavior?"
"None." The assistant cleared his throat, "Mr. Phoebe used to be inseparable from that doctor, Dennis. Rumor has it their relationship was unusual. But lately, Mr. Phoebe has been chatting online with a woman who likes to wear red. Today, he even drove to Magnolia Estate in the north to meet her. We checked, and this woman met Mr. Phoebe during a trip to Radiance Springs with Joseph. After they left Radiance Springs, she came to Oceancrest City and bought Magnolia Estate."
The assistant's words made Brandon even more irritated.
He stood up and kicked the assistant over. "Chasing a woman is weird? Do you have rocks for brains?"
He sighed and sat back in his wheelchair. "Recall the men tracking Oliver. Get ready for the ambush at Lucky Restaurant in three days!"
The assistant, shocked, looked at Brandon's legs, his mouth trembling. "Y-yes!"
He hurriedly left the Torres Mansion's side courtyard.
Watching the assistant, Brandon rolled his eyes.
If it weren't for the usefulness of this disabled persona, he would have stood up long ago!
Who would want to live in a wheelchair every day if he didn't have to!
All for the Torres family to quickly swallow the Phoebe and Foster families.
Swan Villa.
After returning from Magnolia Estate and having dinner, Jasper couldn't sleep.
He arranged Ryan's next actions over the phone, caught up with David, and video-called his three kids, but still couldn't sleep.
He decided to throw on a coat and wander around the house.
This was an old-fashioned house, yet it was named Swan Villa.
In the yard, Dennis was sorting herbs with Nova by moonlight.
Seeing Jasper, Dennis smiled, "Even though you've slept for half a month and your body is fine, you should still rest early."
Jasper smiled and sat beside him, "You've known Oliver for a long time?"
Dennis, head down, replied softly, "The Phoebe family used to research medicine. Many members of our families have been doctors, so we've known each other since childhood."
Hearing that, Jasper thought of Lily and Esther.
It was said that the Phoebe family used various poisons back then... thinking of this, his eyes narrowed, a hint of killing intent in them.
If it weren't for Adeline's concern about his hatred for the Phoebe family, he would have...
At that moment, a car stopped outside.
Jasper frowned, "Who would come here this late?"
Dennis, still sorting herbs, replied, "Probably Mrs. Zara Phoebe. She's not Oliver's biological mother. Since Oliver moved here, she feels responsible and often visits him."
Mrs. Zara Phoebe?
Jasper narrowed his eyes and headed to the front yard.
Dennis smirked, about to say something, but then looked up sharply. "Nova, stop him!"
Jasper couldn't see Zara's face!
