Chapter 350 He Needs You

Jasper stared in shock as Stella's laughter took on a chilling tone.

He grabbed his phone, voice trembling. "Ryan, find Adeline now! And check on Bennett and Lauren abroad. I need to know they're safe!"

Stella's phone rang, cutting through the tension.

"Too late," she smirked, holding up the phone. "This call means my plan worked."

She answered, her smile growing. After hanging up, she tossed the phone aside, eyes gleaming.

Picking up the knife, she held it to her throat again. "I did all this for you, Jasper," she whispered, tears in her voice. "And you never even touched me, never loved me, not even a little."

"It didn't turn out the way I hoped," she continued, voice stronger, "but I'm happy with it. I killed your child, so I doubt you'll show me any mercy."

She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and prepared to plunge the knife into her neck.

Jasper didn't flinch. He turned away, face emotionless.

Stella's hand shook, the blade cutting into her skin. She watched him walk away, heart breaking.

He was leaving, demanding updates on Adeline and the kids. He didn't even glance back at her, not even as she stood ready to end her life.

From a distance, she heard one of David's men approach him.

"What do we do about the woman trying to kill herself?"

"Let her die," Jasper replied coldly.

Those words shattered Stella's last defenses. His indifference hurt more than any wound.

She had given him everything. And to him, she was nothing.

With a sob, she plunged the knife into her neck, collapsing as her blood stained the concrete.

Morris, temporarily released from prison on David's orders, was being escorted to the rooftop when he saw Stella fall.

"Evelyn!" he screamed, rushing to her side.

David watched, concerned. He gestured for his men to release Morris. "Get a doctor!" he barked. "Maybe we can still save her."

He turned to his men, scanning the rooftop. "Where's Jasper?"

Jasper had ordered Morris's release. Where was he now?

"Sir," one of his men said quietly, "The woman, Evelyn, said she killed Mr. Foster's children."

"And Mr. Foster… he's gone to find them."

David's blood ran cold. "What are we waiting for?" he roared. "Go after him!"

Adeline's last known location was the airport.

Jasper pushed the driver aside, taking the wheel himself. He sped through the empty streets, heart pounding.

It was his fault. All his fault.

He should have known. He should have seen through Stella's lies. He had his suspicions, but her facade fooled him every time.

Before she returned, he had almost uncovered the truth. The handwriting analysis pointed to Adeline being the woman he loved. But then he saw Stella's face, and all doubts vanished.

He had been a fool.

Adeline was carrying his child. His child!

There was nothing between her and Sebastian. He had been so blinded by Stella's lies that he believed the child was another man's.

If Adeline lost their baby, Jasper would never forgive himself.

The streets were empty, his car the only one speeding through the night. David followed closely, anxiety growing with each second.

Jasper's phone rang, breaking the silence. It was Ryan.

He answered immediately, voice hoarse with worry. "Bennett? Lauren? Are they alright?"

Ryan's voice was heavy with dread. "We contacted Tim and Tom, sir. The situation… it's not good."

Jasper's grip tightened on the wheel. "What do you mean 'not good'? Are they safe?"

"Lauren is safe, sir," Ryan replied carefully. He couldn't lie but couldn't tell Jasper the whole truth yet.

He took a deep breath. "Sebastian was there, sir. He planned to leave with Bennett and Lauren tonight. But he discovered the bodyguards… Stella had bribed them."

"They split up, sir. Tim and Tom took Lauren and pretended to leave. They're safe at a rental house across from the training camp."

"Sebastian and Bennett confronted Stella's men. They were trapped inside the house."

Ryan's voice choked with emotion. "They set the house on fire, sir. And then… there was an explosion. Sebastian and Bennett… they're in grave danger…"

"Tim and Tom said… the rescue team couldn't reach them in time... "

Ryan trailed off, unable to continue.

Silence followed. A heavy, suffocating silence.

"Mr. Foster?" he whispered, voice trembling.

A deafening crash echoed through the phone. Then came David's panicked shouts.

Jasper's car, out of control on the empty airport road, slammed into the guardrail.

He regained consciousness moments later, vision blurry, ears ringing.

"Bennett…" he croaked, voice raspy. "Adeline…"

"We found Adeline," David said, voice filled with relief and sorrow. "She collapsed at the airport. A cleaner found her. She's at the hospital now."

Jasper struggled to sit up, eyes searching David's face. "The baby…?"

"She… she lost the baby, Jasper," David said softly, closing his eyes against the raw pain in his friend's voice.

The light in Jasper's eyes dimmed, his face crumpling with grief. "And Bennett…?"

"The fire's out, sir. But… they couldn't find their bodies. Only some remains. Too badly burned to identify. But the blood… it matches Sebastian and Bennett's."

"They think Sebastian and Bennett tried to escape through a window. But there was a bomb… When they broke the window…"

Jasper leaned back against the seat, shoulders slumping under a huge weight. He closed his eyes, tears tracing silent paths down his cheeks.

"And Lauren…?" he whispered, voice broken.

"She's safe," David said quickly. "But traumatized. She's undergoing counseling."

He took a deep breath, placing a comforting hand on Jasper's shoulder. "But Jasper… you can't give up now. You have to be strong."

"You still have a son, Jasper. He needs you. His leukemia… it's worse. He almost didn't make it. But he's alive. He's alive, Jasper. And he needs his father."
