Chapter 642 Quite Similar to Ms. Allen
Sitting in Jasper's office chair, Adeline stared blankly at the bill on the computer screen, biting her lip hard.
Settlement?
What accounts did he need to settle with Thomas?
Just as Molly said, after discovering what Thomas had done for her, Jasper decided to help her settle the accounts with Thomas?
Did he use his private jet to send Thomas away after that?
Thinking of this, Adeline suddenly felt a chill down her spine. She closed the bill and looked up at the photo on the computer desktop.
It was taken when she had just married him, at the beach.
Although she was born in Neon City, which had no sea, Radiance Springs offered an endless ocean.
When she first got married, she was so excited that she pestered Jasper every day to accompany her to the beach, but he was always too busy.
Even when he wasn't busy, he would lie at home exhausted and would never go to the beach with her.
Therefore, she stopped pestering him and went to the beach alone.
The photo that Jasper used as his desktop was taken by a random passerby.
At that time, she happily sent the photo to him, asking if she looked good when she smiled.
She waited a long time, until she had returned home from the beach, before he briefly replied: [You look good.]
Adeline felt insecure, thinking he was just brushing her off and that he didn't like her sending him such messages.
After that, she never sent him any more.
Who would have thought that years later, when she saw this photo again, it would be on Jasper's desktop?
How many sides of him does she not know?
Thinking of this, she sighed, opened the bill again, took a photo of it, and then turned off the computer.
When Adeline left Jasper's office, she happened to run into him and Molly carrying a bunch of shopping bags.
Seeing her come out of Jasper's office, Molly, who had changed into new clothes, frowned and stared coldly at Adeline. "What are you doing here?"
Adeline glanced at the bags in their hands, a smirk appearing on her lips.
"I originally came to discuss some work matters with Mr. Foster, but he wasn't in. Finding his desk in disarray, I straightened it up a bit before leaving."
After she said this, she held up Jasper's dirty coat. "I was planning to take it out for dry cleaning."
Molly sneered and snatched the bag from Adeline's hand, "It's already old, why keep it? Jasper can afford new ones," she threw the coat into the trash can. "No need to trouble Miss Wilson to go for dry cleaning."
After saying this, Molly crossed her arms and raised her voice. "When did Jasper's office allow ordinary employees to enter freely?"
She glanced at Ryan, who was working nearby, "How are you guarding Jasper's office?"
Ryan was baffled by Molly's scolding. He thought, 'When did I allow Adeline into Jasper's office? She has been in there since the morning and hasn't come out!'
He lowered his eyes, "It's my fault."
Only then did Molly snort, raising her voice so the whole floor could hear.
"From now on, I am the only woman who can freely enter Jasper's office. Anyone else..."
She glanced at Adeline, "If anything important goes missing, what then?"
Molly's arrogant demeanor made her look more like the real Mrs. Foster.
Adeline smirked and bowed to them. "Get it."
Saying this, she looked up and stared at Jasper. "I won't come to Mr. Foster's office again."
With that, she turned and left.
Jasper remained silent throughout, his gaze fixed on Adeline as she walked away, his brows furrowing with concern. She seemed off.
In the afternoon, in the design department office, Timothy propped his chin with one hand, his eyes fixed on Adeline.
"Your state seems a bit off. You've looked at the new plan I gave you five times, yet you haven't offered a single useful suggestion. I don't think it's because my plan is flawless, it's because you have something on your mind."
Adeline felt guilty under his gaze and quickly turned her face away, "What could I have on my mind?"
"Is it because Mr. Foster has a new girlfriend again?" Timothy propped his chin and added, "The last birthday party was so grand, I thought you two were together. What's the deal with this Molly?"
Adeline rolled her eyes at Timothy, just about to speak, when he continued, "Actually, I know her, who is the real daughter of the Phoebe family. Although I secretly traveled from abroad to Radiance Springs to learn from you, I am fully aware of the outside news."
Her words made Adeline smile, "What else do you know?"
Timothy added, "I also know that Molly was originally the daughter of the Phoebe family, but was secretly swapped by someone who wanted their own daughter to enjoy wealth and luxury, so they did this despicable thing. Originally, the Phoebe family planned to send the fake daughter back after finding the real one. But the fake one was ready to leave. Later, Mrs. Phoebe couldn't bear it and let her stay. It was expected that the real and fake Molly would be at odds, but they got along like real sisters."
Timothy's words made Adeline pause as she recalled the time she overheard Molly on the phone, calling the woman on the other end 'my dear sister'.
The "dear sister" Molly mentioned should be Daniel's second daughter, the one he swapped.
Thinking of this, Adeline laughed self-deprecatingly.
How was ridiculous!
She originally thought Molly was her biological sister and was sad that Molly schemed against her.
Later, she found out Molly wasn't related to her by blood.
She secretly felt relieved that her real sister wasn't targeting her, even if her parents treated her poorly.
Now, it appeared that even her real sister was Molly's accomplice.
"But it's strange." Not noticing Adeline's emotions, Timothy continued, "Neither of the Phoebe family's daughters inherited Ms. Allen's beauty genes."
With this, he scrutinized Adeline's face. "Your eyes do resemble Ms. Allenn's."
