Chapter 684 You Will Never Be Able to Kill Me
Blake and Lauren quickly gathered around Bennett.
The car in the garden outside was unmistakably Hestia's missing car!
Blake's sharp eyes noticed some bloodstains on the rear tire.
As the three kids were peeking, a woman dressed in black walked to the back of the van, opened the door, and took out a white bucket filled with liquid.
She turned and walked into the garden, crossing it to pour the clear liquid all around the base of the villa.
Lauren finally understood that the gasoline smell she had noticed wasn't a mistake.
It was real gasoline!
"It's Molly. She's going to burn down the villa and kill us all. With this much gasoline, once the fire starts, there's no way to put it out," Blake said, even though he hadn't seen the woman's face, he quickly deduced it.
Blake spoke calmly, "Lauren, go find the Blue Bay estate manager, Gilbert Harvey. Have him quietly take you and Bennett away with the staff. Tim, Tom, and I will go upstairs to get Mom. Mom has been exhausted for days and is probably in a deep sleep right now. The three of us can definitely get her out."
He added, "Remember, tell Gilbert to leave quickly and quietly through the back door without taking anything. Don't make any noise. I saw a lot of gasoline in Molly's car; we still have time. If we alert her, none of us will escape!"
Lauren nodded silently and quickly went to knock on Gilbert's door.
Upon learning the situation, Gilbert hurried over, picked up Bennett from his wheelchair, and swiftly led the staff away.
Blake whispered a few instructions to Tim and Tom, then led the two strong boys upstairs.
In the retreating group, Alice bit her lip and whispered to Gilbert, "Where are Blake and Mrs. Foster?"
Gilbert whispered back, "Blake took Tim and Tom to rescue Mrs. Foster, who was sleeping deeply upstairs. We didn't have time to wait for her."
After speaking, Gilbert gave Alice a reproachful look and pulled her along quietly.
Alice bit her lip, shook off Gilbert's hand, and glanced at the stairs.
Finally, she made up her mind and headed upstairs.
Some staff tried to stop her, but she broke free.
"Let her go," Lauren sighed. "Alice was saved by Mom when she was abroad. She might be even more unwilling to leave Mom behind than we are."
Upstairs.
Blake had Tim crouch on the balcony to keep an eye on Molly's actions with the gasoline.
He and Tom gently roused Adeline from her slumber.
But no matter how they called, she remained in a deep sleep.
Blake felt something was wrong.
Over the years, Adeline had always been a light sleeper, especially while raising three kids alone.
No matter how tired she was, she wouldn't sleep so deeply that she wouldn't wake up to their calls.
At that moment, the bedroom door opened again.
A figure rushed in.
Blake and Tom were ready to defend, but they saw it was Alice.
"Mrs. Foster won't wake up," Alice said, taking a deep breath, her voice tinged with tears. "She has been really tired lately, so to help her sleep better, I gave her a soothing drink before bedtime. If nothing unexpected happens, she'll sleep until tomorrow morning."
Alice's words made Blake pause. He took a deep breath, "Alright, Tim, Tom, we're going with Plan B. We won't wake Mom, we'll just take her with us!"
Tom nodded. Just as he wrapped Adeline in a sheet, the smell of burning reached them.
"We're out of time," Tim said, biting his lip as he watched Molly, armed with garden shears, forcing Gilbert and the staff back into the villa.
Molly had not only discovered the escape attempt but had also set the villa on fire. With the gasoline, Blue Bay had quickly turned into a sea of flames. Now, she was using the shears to drive Lauren, Bennett, and Gilbert back into the inferno!
The smell of burning rubber was overwhelming.
Adeline finally woke up from her sleep. The unusual temperature and smell in the villa made her instantly aware of the situation. As soon as she opened her eyes, she heard Tim say, "We're out of time."
Adeline frowned and rushed to the balcony. The scene before her made her heart sink. Molly was using a weapon to force a group of people into the flames!
As she walked, she sneered, "No one is getting out of here today! Adeline and her three kids, and the baby in her belly, all must die!"
Adeline stood on the balcony, biting her lip as she looked at Molly in the distance. She couldn't let Molly force them back inside. Lauren and Bennett were just kids. If they went back in, they'd either burn to death or suffocate from the toxic fumes!
Taking a deep breath, she stood on the second-floor balcony, gripping the burning hot window frame.
"Molly! I'm right here!"
Her words made Molly freeze. She looked over to see Adeline standing on the opposite balcony in her pajamas. Seeing Molly look at her, Adeline took a deep breath, a cold smile forming on her lips.
"Molly! You're such a coward, always picking on those weaker than you! No wonder you've never been able to beat me! Because you don't have the guts to face me head-on, only to bully the vulnerable and helpless!"
Adeline's words were icy, dripping with sarcasm. In her crazed state, Molly couldn't stand Adeline's contempt. She gripped the garden shears tightly, her voice trembling with rage.
"How dare you!"
Adeline chuckled, "you think killing them means you've won? No, after you kill them, I'll jump from here and be saved. My baby will still be born, and I'll still be Jasper's favorite. And you, you can't kill me. You'll never be able to kill me!"
