Chapter 297 Miss Wilson, hello

After Adeline asked her question, Jasper went quiet for a bit, then smiled. "I don't think you, Tim, and Tom are lovers."

Adeline scoffed. "If you don't believe the rumors, why make things hard for them?"

"You think I'm making it hard for them?" Jasper checked his watch. "There's still time. How about I take you to see them?"

Adeline frowned. "Why?"

"You'll get it when we get there." Jasper didn't explain more. "Where are you? Ryan and I will pick you up."

Adeline hesitated but gave him the address. After hanging up, she sighed and went back to the private room.

The room was tense. Timothy sat looking cold and distant. Ava was in a corner, too scared to talk, while Anne and Robert stayed quiet.

When Adeline came back, Timothy stood up and handed her a phone. "Ava's phone. The recordings and photos she mentioned are real. She took them when I went to the restroom with her earlier. I had no idea."

Adeline frowned, taking the phone. Sure enough, there were several sneaky photos of her and Aurora's confrontation. The recordings were from the same incident. Adeline played them briefly, then deleted everything.

She handed the phone back to Ava. "I get you want to fit in with your new colleagues, but gossiping about your boss isn't the way. Leave those groups now because you're no longer an employee of the Foster Group."

With that, Adeline left.

"Serves you right!" Timothy glared at Ava and quickly followed Adeline.

Anne and Robert exchanged looks, grabbed their coats, and followed too. As they passed Ava, Anne kicked her.

"Adeline's the best boss I've ever had. You deserve to be fired!"

After they left, Ava slumped in her chair, clutching her phone. Just then, a new friend request popped up. The name read: Stella.

Feeling down, she instinctively hit reject. But the person sent another request. [Hi, I have a bone to pick with Adeline. Willing to sell me the recordings and photos? I'll pay well.]

At Blue Bay, Stella lounged on the sofa, snacking and watching TV while messaging Ava. As they negotiated the price, she heard the study door open upstairs and Jasper's footsteps.

She quickly hid her phone and got up. "Jasper, it's late. More overtime?"

Jasper frowned slightly. "Yeah, got some things to handle." He paused. "I might be back late. You should go to bed early." Then he left with determined strides.

Watching him go, Stella bit her lip. He used the same excuse last night and spent the whole night with Adeline at the hospital! And now, he's doing it again?

An idea struck her, and she quickly messaged Ava: [Are you with Adeline? Take a picture of who she's with. I'll pay you.]

Half an hour later, she got a photo from Ava. It showed Adeline getting into a familiar black Maserati, with Jasper's silhouette faintly visible in the back seat.

Stella stared at the photo, her anger boiling. As expected, Jasper went to see Adeline again! It had only been two days since she "slept" with Sebastian and a day since they announced their relationship, yet Jasper was still spending all his time either working or with Adeline!

Jealousy and rage twisted Stella's face. She'd spent six years crafting this life to take over Adeline's identity and position, all for Jasper's love and attention. Yet, he still cared for Adeline.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Finally, she snapped and called Morgana.

"Monroe, I want Adeline dead! Now!"

Morgana chuckled. "Why so upset? Killing Adeline won't make Jasper focus on you."

Stella's eyes narrowed. "Then what do you suggest?"

"Remember when you asked me to kidnap Sebastian? I sent some people to Adeline's house in Willowcrest Terrace."

Stella frowned. "What did you do there?"

"I took something," Morgana sighed. "Some of my people have been under Jasper's friend Jason's watch for a while. I used them to kidnap Sebastian and retrieve something from Adeline's house."

Stella was confused. "What are you getting at?"

"Miss," Morgana's voice turned cold, "don't you remember? Jasper hates you the most."

Stella's grip tightened on the phone. "What are you trying to say?"

"Don't get upset. You're no longer Evelyn; you're Stella. Since Evelyn's identity is vacant, anyone can be Evelyn, including Adeline."

A chilling realization hit Stella. "You mean..."

"Think about it. If Jasper discovered that the Adeline he cares for is actually the person he has hated for years, would he still feel the same? And if he no longer cares for Adeline, wouldn't he come back to you?"

Stella's eyes lit up. Morgana was right! Even if she killed Adeline, Jasper would still have feelings for her. But if Adeline became the person he despised the most? She had to see his reaction when he found out Adeline was Evelyn!

Around ten that night, the black Maserati pulled up outside a run-down apartment building in Radiance Springs. The large iron gate was closed, and the sounds of activity spilled out from within.

Adeline followed Jasper out of the car, frowning. "Where are we?"

"Where Tim and Tom live." Jasper glanced at her indifferently and pushed open the gate.

The courtyard was busy. Several people were loading luggage into a van. Tom, spotting Jasper and Adeline, approached them enthusiastically.

"Miss Wilson, you're here to see us off?"

Adeline frowned. "See you off?"

"Yeah." Tom looked confused. "Our flight is in two hours. We're heading to an overseas training camp to be Miss Lauren and Mr. Bennett's personal bodyguards."

Adeline was stunned. She turned to Jasper, bewildered. "Is this what you meant by Tim and Tom not appearing in the company anymore?"

Jasper sneered. "What did you think? That I'd send them abroad because of some baseless rumors?"

Adeline bit her lip, speechless.

"By the way, Miss Wilson." Tom scratched his head. "you asked me about Mia's brother who was locked up in a mental hospital, right? He's back now. He's right over there. Do you want to meet him?" He gestured towards a man in the distance wearing black clothes and a hat. "Thomas Turner, come over here!"
