Chapter 721 Baby, He Is Still Alive

With Nova and Joseph's help, Jasper shaved, took a shower, and changed into clean clothes.

There were no clothes in the house that fit him. Although Oliver was as tall as he was, Oliver was much slimmer.

However, Dennis's robe fit him perfectly.

Standing in front of the mirror, Jasper looked at himself in the navy blue robe, feeling refreshed and finally letting out a long breath.

When he first got married, Adeline had complained about why his wardrobe consisted only of black suits.

Back then, he thought suits were formal and black looked sophisticated, so he didn't take her words seriously and continued to wear only black suits.

But now... looking at himself in the mirror, he suddenly felt that his change had come too late.

Adeline liked Brandon's gentle and refined demeanor.

He could actually achieve that too. As long as she liked it, he could adopt any style.

"Mr. Foster, I need to go over our exit plan with you again."

Outside the house, Dennis took a deep breath and spoke to Jasper. "You're wearing my clothes not just because Mr. Phoebe's clothes don't fit you, but also there are people everywhere looking to kill you. Wearing my clothes can help you blend in a bit. When we leave, follow the plan we've laid out for you."

Jasper nodded, thanked Dennis, and got into the car.

Dennis was right.

In the past hour, Jasper had also learned about the situation outside.

Due to the failure at the engagement ceremony, Brandon had officially stepped down as the head of the Torres family. Now, Randy was in charge.

Daisy, for failing to contribute at a critical moment for the Phoebe family and almost causing its downfall, had been stripped of all her roles in the Phoebe Group.

So, Brandon and Daisy, in their fury, had hired assassins to hunt down Jasper throughout the city.

If they caught him, they would kill him on the spot.

Meanwhile, Brandon's people were also frantically searching for Adeline, hoping to bring her back and quickly get engaged to regain his position in the Torres family.

For Jasper to see Adeline, he had to travel from Swan Villa in the south of the city, cross all of Oceancrest City, and reach Mia's Magnolia Estate in the north, all while avoiding various assassins.

The journey was fraught with danger.

Two black cars left Swan Villa, heading in different directions.

"Mr. Foster, don't be fooled by my dad's cold demeanor and reluctance to talk. He really cares about you, his cousin!"

Sitting in the back seat, Joseph spoke while looking out the window and chewing on a lollipop, "Normally, with his principles, he would never take such a risk. Now, for you, he broke his principles!"

Jasper sat in the passenger seat, staring straight ahead. "I know."

Oliver might not say it, and he often complained that Jasper was risking his life for a woman.

But his support for Jasper to find Adeline said it all.

Jasper had always been indifferent to family ties, except for his grandmother Lily. He never felt he had any other family.

Oliver's presence and everything he did made Jasper feel warm, but also unsure how to respond. After all, Oliver was also Howard's son.

Then the car finally arrived at Mia's Magnolia Estate.

Inside Magnolia Estate, Adeline sat on the second floor, looking at the man in the navy blue robe getting out of the car, her emotions indescribable.

She sniffed, pulled the curtains to hide herself, and gently touched her flat stomach.

This child, she thought she had lost.

But on the night of the engagement, she had a reaction.

She closed her eyes.

When Molly burned down Blue Bay, she thought she had lost the baby.

After all, it was so small. If Mia hadn't bought a pregnancy test for her to use after she got out of prison, she wouldn't have known about the baby.

After the incident, she asked the doctor, who said the chances of miscarriage were high, and such a small baby was unlikely to survive.

She was so heartbroken that she and Jasper even made a grave for the baby.

But on the night she announced she would marry Brandon, familiar morning sickness made it impossible for her to stay at the venue.

After that, Mia found a doctor who confirmed that the baby was miraculously still alive.

So, she knew she couldn't marry Brandon.

This baby was so strong. She couldn't take away its chance to live because of her issues with Jasper.

Adeline opened her eyes and looked at Jasper downstairs.

He had fully recovered, could get out of the car, and walk.

Although his left foot was still a bit lame, and his right arm was still a bit stiff.

But he was alive, Adeline's tears fell silently.

She touched her belly and said, "Baby, your dad still alive."

Her baby wouldn't be fatherless.

In the past half month, like many others, she thought he had died that night.

If Mia hadn't suddenly told her today that Jasper had woken up, she might have told Blake tonight to prepare Jasper's funeral.

"Not going out to see him?"

Mia stood at the door, looking at Adeline, who was touching her belly and crying, and sighed, "The first thing he wanted to do after waking up was to find you. Joseph said, during his coma, he mentioned your name the most. Do you still think he doesn't care about you, that he puts you last?"

Adeline smiled bitterly, "It's too late. Let him go. I... just need to know he's okay."

She was no longer the Adeline who could easily forgive Jasper.

With a sigh, she knew that as an outsider, she had no right to say more.

"Then I'll go downstairs and tell him you don't want to see him and that he should leave?"

Adeline closed her eyes and said nothing.

Mia sighed again and started downstairs.

She had only taken a few steps when Adeline called her back.

"Remember not to tell him about the baby."

Mia raised an eyebrow, puzzled.

Adeline sighed, "I don't want him to think I'll go back to him because of the baby."
