Chapter 582 They are Trespassing
Nathan stormed through the door, eyes blazing as he glared at Adeline. "What were you doing? I've been gone from Radiance Springs for just over a month, and now he's lying in bed, barely hanging on!"
He yelled, "I heard this is all because of you! You demon!"
Nathan still had the chill of the wind and the scent of disinfectant on him, clearly having come straight from the airport.
Adeline was so shocked she stumbled back, her legs hitting the edge of Jasper's hospital bed. The sharp pain shot through her body, making her double over, unable to stand up straight.
Violet rushed over to help Adeline. "Adeline, are you okay?"
Adeline shook her head, looking down. The left side of her face was already swollen.
Nathan sneered and stepped towards Adeline again. "Looks like I didn't hit you hard enough!"
He raised his hand to strike her again.
Violet, too weak to stop him, tried to grab Nathan's wrist but couldn't.
Nathan easily shoved Violet aside and raised his hand again, ready to hit Adeline.
Just then, Tim and Tom burst in, grabbing Nathan from both sides.
Nathan glanced at Jasper, lying quietly on the bed with his eyes closed, and his anger flared up again.
He glared at Adeline. "You did this to my son, and you still have the nerve to be here? Get out!"
Adeline, with Violet's help, struggled to sit back in her chair. Before she could say anything, the door to the hospital room swung open.
Ryan hurried in. "Mrs. Foster."
Seeing Nathan, Ryan stopped mid-sentence. "Mr. Nathan Foster."
Nathan's brow furrowed deeply. "What did you call her?"
He turned to Adeline with suspicion. "Did you and Jasper get married?"
Adeline paused and shook her head. "No."
Nathan sneered. "Good thing Jasper didn't marry you! Otherwise, if something happened to him, you'd take half of the Foster family's assets!"
"If I had been a few days later, you might have done something while Jasper was in a coma, and the Foster Group would have been taken over by the Collins family!"
Nathan's words made Adeline clench her fists at her sides.
"Mr. Nathan Foster, you didn't come back to see your sick son, but to hope for his misfortune and reclaim the Foster family's assets, right?"
Nathan had been hitting and scolding her since he came in, and now he couldn't stop talking about the Foster Group's assets.
From start to finish, he hadn't asked about Jasper's condition. To him, Jasper wasn't as important as the Foster Group's assets.
Nathan's face turned red with anger and embarrassment. "What the hell are you talking about? Jasper is my son! Of course, I care about him!"
He continued, "Listen up, I'm in charge of the Foster family now! Watch your mouth, or I'll kick you out, and you'll never see Jasper again!"
Adeline narrowed her eyes, gripping Jasper's hand tightly.
Jasper lay there, eyes closed, oblivious to their argument and her being bullied by Nathan.
Seeing Adeline go quiet, Nathan shrugged off Tim and Tom, then arrogantly plopped down on the sofa, crossing his legs.
"Ryan, they're not married yet, so don't call her Mrs. Foster."
Ryan hesitated for a moment, then lowered his head. "Understood, Mr. Nathan Foster."
Nathan sneered. "And now that I'm back, until Jasper wakes up, I'm calling the shots for the Foster family."
He asked, "So, what happened that made you rush in here?"
Ryan hesitated, glancing at Adeline, then at Nathan.
"A woman and her son broke into Blue Bay, claiming they're your wife and son. They say now that Jasper's in trouble, the Foster family belongs to them."
He added, "They're taking things by force in the villa and trying to kick Blake and Lauren out, calling them illegitimate children."
Adeline was startled by Ryan's words, feeling a rush of anger.
She turned to Nathan. "Did you bring them back?"
Nathan sighed, furrowing his brow. "I told them to wait a bit longer. They just couldn't hold off."
Adeline understood. No wonder Nathan hadn't returned to Radiance Springs for so many years. He had a mistress and an illegitimate son.
He must have heard about Jasper's condition and brought them back to claim Jasper's inheritance!
She gritted her teeth, turning to Ryan.
"Call the police. Report them for trespassing!"
Ryan paused, then quickly nodded. "Okay."
Nathan furrowed his brow, quickly standing up to stop Ryan.
"Wait! My son visiting his brother's house is trespassing? Is that what you're saying?"
Adeline smirked coldly. "Legally, any entry without the homeowner's consent is trespassing."
She glanced at Jasper, lying quietly on the bed. "The owner of Blue Bay is Jasper himself."
"Unless Jasper wakes up right now and allows your illegitimate son to enter Blue Bay, they're trespassing."
Nathan raised his hand to strike Adeline again.
Just as his hand was about to land on Adeline's face, a pale, sweaty hand reached out and grabbed Nathan's wrist.
