Chapter 493 Always Abusing Us

In the hospital ward, Luna and Adeline locked eyes, the silence stretching on. Finally, Luna smirked and glanced at Adeline, who stood a few feet away. "Adeline, face it; you can't beat me. Take your kids and leave Radiance Springs now, and maybe I'll let you live. But if you piss me off, even if you run to the ends of the earth, Jasper will drag you back. I want you to watch your son bleed for me every day until he's dry."

Adeline's eyes narrowed as she glared at Luna. "You wouldn't dare!"

Luna's sneer deepened. "Oh, you think I wouldn't? You know how much Jasper adores me. Don't act like you don't."

Then, as if a thought had just struck her, Luna turned to Adeline. "Oh, right, didn't you lose two kids before? One died because you were fighting over Jasper, and the other was ripped from your womb, right?"

A cruel smile spread across Luna's face. "I heard you almost lost it when those two died. So, what if something happened to the other two? Would you go completely insane?"

Luna's arrogance grew with each word. "Are you just unlucky? Four kids, and you've already lost two. The other two, it's only a matter of time..."

"Shut up!" Adeline's patience snapped.

She didn't want to fight Luna here. Jasper always took Luna's side, no matter what. But Luna's relentless taunting was too much.

Adeline lunged forward, her hands wrapping around Luna's neck. "Shut up!"

Her kids were her weak spot. She could endure anything, but threats to her children were a line no one could cross.

Adeline's grip was fierce, and Luna clawed at her hands, coughing. "Let go! The more you do this, the more I'll go after your kids. Even if I don't kill them, I'll have Jasper take them from you. Leave now, or you'll regret it forever!"

Adeline's eyes narrowed further, her grip tightening. "If you mess with my kids, you'll regret it forever!"

Luna's taunts grew more vicious, each one pushing Adeline closer to the edge. In her rage, Adeline didn't hear the footsteps approaching in the hallway.

Luna's eyes glinted with a smug satisfaction. She had heard Jasper's footsteps coming from the elevator and had used every word to provoke Adeline.

Sure enough, Adeline's kids were her Achilles' heel. Mention them, and she lost it. Luna wanted nothing more than to see Adeline lose control.

As the footsteps got closer, Luna suddenly switched gears, coughing and crying pitifully. "Adeline, I know you hate it when I mention your kids, but they're kind of related to me too. I just wanted to see Blake; why are you so against it?"

Adeline was seething with rage.

She gritted her teeth, glaring at Luna. Her thin frame pressed down on Luna, her grip on Luna's neck tightening. "Blake is my son; he has nothing to do with you! You want to see him? Over my dead body!"

"Adeline," Luna gasped, her face turning purple from lack of oxygen.

Hearing the door open, Luna weakly called out, "Jasper, Jasper, help me."

Jasper had heard the argument about Blake as he approached, thinking it was just another spat. But when he pushed the door open, the scene shocked him.

He rushed forward, pulling Adeline off Luna. "What are you doing? Luna just had a car accident; she needs a blood transfusion!"

Adeline, her eyes blazing, turned to Jasper. "You're still protecting her, aren't you? She threatened to kill my kids, and you're still on her side!"

"Of course," Adeline spat, her voice icy. "To you, the kids don't matter at all. Blake and Lauren's lives mean nothing compared to your precious Luna!"

With that, Adeline shoved Jasper's arm away. "Blake's blood should be drawn by now; I'm taking him home. Jasper, if you or Luna ever come after my kids again, I'll fight you to the death!"

Jasper watched Adeline's retreating figure with a conflicted expression, then turned to check on Luna. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Luna whimpered, tears streaming as she clung to Jasper. "But Jasper, don't you think Adeline's losing it? I just mentioned wanting to see Blake, and she started choking me."

The more Luna spoke, the more pitiful she seemed, tears flowing freely. "Jasper, if you hadn't come in time, I was bleeding out, and she was choking me—I could've been a goner."

Adeline sneered. "Luna, it's a pity you're not an actress. Just moments ago, you said things far worse than wanting to see Blake. Now, in front of Jasper, you're playing the victim."

Luna bit her lip, looking pitifully at Jasper. "Jasper, you see, Adeline is wronging me again."

Jasper felt a headache coming on. He picked up his phone and called Ryan. "Is Blake done? If he is, bring him over to see Luna, and let Adeline take him home."

Ryan replied, "Okay!"

Ten minutes later, Blake, wearing a striped hospital gown, was led out of the elevator by a nurse.

"Daddy!" Blake called out.

Reaching the ward door, Blake broke free from the nurse and ran to Jasper, hugging his leg. "Daddy, I missed you so much!"

Adeline stood frozen, confused and shocked by Blake's actions. Blake had never been this close to Jasper before.

But what Blake said next left Adeline even more stunned.

Hugging Jasper's leg, Blake spoke in a pitiful voice. "Daddy, can Lauren and I come back to live with you? Mama has mental issues and always abuses us."
