Adeline's hands clenched tightly as she listened to Oliver's words.
She bit her lip and looked up at him. "Do you really think Jasper did this on purpose to humiliate Dennis, the Phoebe family, and me?"
She had hoped Oliver, being Jasper's cousin, would see things differently.
"Then tell me, what does it mean if Jasper's actions weren't meant to humiliate Dennis, the Phoebe family, and you?" Oliver sneered. "You can't seriously believe that a guy like Jasper would mess up something as simple as a kid's puzzle, can you?"
Oliver's words left Adeline biting her lip in silence.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "I'm not going back to the Phoebe family right now. I need to hear an explanation from Jasper."
Unless she heard it directly from Jasper that he did it on purpose to humiliate Dennis and her, she wouldn't give up.
"Has he contacted you? Can you find him?" Oliver's question made Adeline's heart sink.
Jasper hadn't contacted her, and she couldn't find him.
Even when she reached out to the three kids, they said he was very busy and hadn't come home.
Even Blake, who was usually skilled with hacking, couldn't find out what Jasper was up to.
All she had left was what Jason told her yesterday, to wait for him.
Oliver saw all of Adeline's reactions.
He sneered. "You can't be sure when Jasper will come back to find you. How long are you willing to wait?"
He walked over, placing a hand on Adeline's shoulder, looking at her intently. "Mother may be cured of the poison, but her body is still weak. While she's not in immediate danger, if she worries too much and her condition worsens, the worst could still happen. You don't want to see Mother, who has sacrificed her whole life for Father, pass away without any compensation, right? And Dennis, Brandon, everyone has worked so hard to wake Mother up. Are you willing to let all their efforts go to waste for Jasper?"
Adeline bit her lip, unable to meet his sharp gaze.
Seeing her avoid his eyes, Oliver took a deep breath. "One week, okay? No matter how busy Jasper is, he should be done in a week. If he hasn't come to Oceancrest City or Magnolia Estate to find you in a week, you should go back to the Phoebe family."
Adeline bit her lip, stayed silent for a moment, and finally nodded.
With Adeline's agreement, Oliver took a deep breath and left.
Adeline sat alone in the dining room, quietly looking out the window, her lips tightly pressed together.
In truth, her reluctance to return to the Phoebe family wasn't just because of Jasper, but also because of the deceased Lily.
She could never forget the moment Lily gave all the antidote to Lauren.
Although Adeline understood that Lily might have saved Lauren because Lauren was also a member of the Foster family, sharing the same bloodline.
But Adeline still couldn't accept that she was part of the Phoebe family, who had been at odds with the Foster family for so many years.

Seeing Adeline turn around, Daisy couldn't help but smile and naturally sat in the seat Oliver had just vacated.
Adeline extended her hand. "I'm Adeline, finally meeting you alone."
"I'm Daisy Phoebe, Molly's older sister, your adoptive parents' eldest daughter. By age, you're a few days older than me, so I should call you sister, just like Molly does." Daisy replied.
Hearing Daisy mention Molly, Adeline couldn't help but narrow her eyes.
She remembered overhearing Molly's phone call outside Blue Bay in Radiance Springs.
On the call, Molly repeatedly called out sister, which must have been this Daisy in front of her.
At that time, she thought Molly was the real eldest daughter of the Phoebe family, and Daisy was her biological sister.
Adeline had even felt sad because Daisy, her biological sister, was so close to Molly.
She had wondered if she was just destined to be estranged from her family, why Daniel, Helen, and even her own sister didn't like her.

"I'm a jewelry designer. The diamond ring on your hand, though the diamond is expensive, the design is cheap and doesn't showcase the diamond's brilliance. This poor design makes the ring 10% cheaper than similar rings. And the jade bracelet on your wrist, though it looks good from my angle, that's because you're hiding the flaws in your palm. The flaws are significant; I saw them clearly when you walked in."
Adeline smirked. "A diamond ring devalued by poor design and a flawed bracelet; they're not worth my jealousy. Seems like your financial status in the Phoebe family isn't as high as it appears."
Adeline stood up. "These two meals, neither Oliver nor I touched them. If you don't mind, you can enjoy them. I'll cover the bill."
With that, she walked away.
Daisy sat in the chair, her face twisted with anger!
If it weren't for the failed plan half a month ago, she wouldn't be without a position in the Phoebe Group now!
Currently, she had no income other than the monthly allowance from the Phoebe family.

"Adeline, how dare you mock me? You're the one in the worst situation now! Jasper doesn't want you anymore! You're out in the cold now!"
