Chapter 362 Congratulations on Recovery

Adeline had a wild dream.

In it, she was pregnant with Jasper's child once more, and she gave birth to a boy who was just as adorable as Bennett.

Then, Blake got better.

She took the kids back to the Torres family villa overseas.

Brandon was chillin' at the villa's entrance, grinning as he welcomed them.

Adeline, all hyped up, ran to Brandon. "Told ya I could save Blake, and I did it!"

Brandon gave her a smirk. "Never thought Jasper would give up his life to save Blake."

Adeline was stunned, looking at him with a hint of confusion. "Wait, what? Jasper sacrificed himself for Blake?"

Suddenly, she saw Jasper's pale, bloodless face flash before her eyes.

She took a step back, feeling like an invisible hand was squeezing her heart, then crushing it.

"Jasper!" The pain was so real it yanked her outta the nightmare.

In the hospital room, Violet and Linda exchanged looks.

Finally, Linda frowned and glanced at Adeline. "Nightmare, huh?"

Adeline, still freaked out, opened her eyes, clutching her chest, and nodded like crazy.

Violet sighed and walked over to hold her hand. "Dreams ain't real. What'd you dream about?"

Adeline, clutching her wildly beating heart, remembered everything from the dream.

She bit her lip. "I dreamed Jasper saved Blake."

"That's a good thing." Linda, while packing Adeline's stuff in the hospital room, smiled and said, "Why'd it freak you out so much?"

Adeline paused, about to say something, but then she saw the suitcase in the middle of the room.

She frowned. "What's this?"

Violet, gently patting her back to calm her down. "Jasper said you agreed yesterday to take Blake to Blue Bay to stay with Lauren. Linda and I came early to help you and Blake pack."

Linda nodded, putting away Adeline's clothes from the closet, and sighed. "Now that you're outta here, I can finally head back to Neon City with David."

"If you need anything, hit me up. I'm now the wife of the top gang leader in Neon City, I can hook you up," Linda added.

Adeline remembered that Linda had indeed married David.

They even made a bet that if Linda was fine after her miscarriage, they'd have a big wedding.

In the past couple of days, she had been mourning Bennett and worrying about Blake and Lauren, almost forgetting about it.

Thinking of this, she pursed her lips. "Did you and David have the wedding?"

Linda paused slightly while packing.

After a moment, she lowered her head. "We decided to hold off for now."

She smiled bitterly. "David's first love came back."

Linda took a deep breath. "I don't know when he'll divorce me, but until then, I'm still his wife."

She looked up and smiled at Adeline. "So, you should still come to me first if you need anything. Got it?"

Adeline was stunned.

If memory served her right, she had asked David if he had ever been in love before, and although he didn't answer, his attitude said it all.

How did a first love suddenly pop up?

She frowned, wanting to say more, but Linda had already closed the suitcase.

Standing up, Linda yawned. "You woke up just in time. Get dressed, and we'll take you and Blake over!"

Adeline's thoughts were interrupted, and she could only sigh as she changed clothes with Violet's help.

They went downstairs together.

A big RV was parked outside the hospital.

Blake, who was weak, was already lying on the bed inside the RV.

At that moment, Blake was explaining some basic coding to David, who was sitting next to him with a puzzled look and a laptop.

"This is basic coding. When I have time, I can teach you slowly," Blake said.

David smiled faintly. "Okay."

As soon as Adeline got in the car, she saw Blake and David looking pretty chummy.

She frowned.

Didn't Linda just say David's first love was back?

How did he have time to be here with Blake?

Violet helped Adeline sit down in the car.

After tossing the suitcase into the car, Linda went to the front desk to grab Adeline's medical records.

Watching Linda walk away, Adeline turned to David, confused. "Linda just said, your first love..."

Before Adeline could finish, David cut her off calmly, "Fake."

"She feels that because she was married before and went through all that, she's not good enough for me. So I made up a first love to put her at ease."

Adeline and Violet were speechless.

They exchanged glances.

"Are you sure this lie won't make your relationship worse?" Adeline asked.

David smiled bitterly. "It can't get any worse."

Then he extended his hand to Adeline. "Congrats on your recovery."

Adeline paused, then shook his hand. "And congrats to you for getting what you wanted."

Soon, Linda returned.

The driver took them straight to Blue Bay.

At the villa, Lauren and Alice were already waiting at the door.

Seeing Adeline really arrive, Lauren excitedly rushed over. "Mommy!"

Adeline hugged her tightly, instinctively looking inside the villa.

Alice seemed to read Adeline's mind, smiling. "Mr. Foster has already packed his things and left. This will be your home with the young masters and miss from now on."

Adeline frowned slightly.

She thought Jasper would at least stay to welcome her.

But with Jasper gone, Linda and Violet felt more at ease.

Linda directed David's men to carry Blake into the villa and helped Adeline with the luggage, while Violet went into the kitchen to whip up some lunch.

Blue Bay was buzzing all day.

In the evening, Violet was picked up by Ethan, and David took Linda and said goodbye to Adeline before heading back to Neon City.

As night fell, the villa became peacefully quiet.

After putting the two kids to bed, Adeline, wearing a coat, wandered around the villa.

For some reason, she felt like a piece of her heart was missing.

The next day, Adeline, following Blake's family doctor Eric Hall's instructions, went to the hospital to get detailed medical records of Blake's condition.

"Adeline!" As she was about to get in the car after leaving the hospital, Mia's voice called out.

She instinctively looked in the direction of the voice and saw Mia hurrying towards her.

After being discharged from the psychiatric hospital and undergoing a more thorough psychological evaluation that confirmed her sound mental health, she inherited the White family's estate and was now known as Mia White.

Mia ran over, excitedly grabbing Adeline's hand. "I finally found you!"

"I heard you woke up and came to see you a few days ago, but your friends blocked me, saying you didn't want to see me," Mia said.

"Today I tried my luck again, but they said you were discharged yesterday!" She smiled, out of breath. "I thought I wouldn't get to see you!"

Seeing Mia so happy, Adeline felt conflicted. "Did you need something from me?"
