Chapter 668 The Test Report is Fake

When Jasper stepped out of the hospital room, Adeline had just managed to calm down Lauren, whose eyes were red and swollen from crying.

Even though Lauren was young, she understood the consequences of Lily tricking her into drinking the life-saving antidote.

Though she had stopped crying, Lauren was still sniffling. "How much time does Great-grandma have left? Can we take my blood and give it to Great-grandma? Will that help?"

Adeline sighed, holding Lauren close without saying a word.

She then spoke softly, "Great-grandma would never want to take your blood, Lauren."

Jasper closed the door behind him and walked over to Lauren. He gently squatted down, looking her in the eyes.

"Great-grandma wanted to give you the best things because she wanted you to be happy and healthy. How could she bear to see you in pain?"

Jasper's words made Lauren's tears flow again like a broken dam.

"What should we do, Daddy? I don't want Great-grandma to leave."

Seeing Lauren's tears, Jasper sighed and gently hugged her.

"I remember you promised Great-grandma that you would learn from your mom and make the jewelry you designed for her, right?"

Lauren nodded earnestly.

He added, "Then why don't you go to my company's workshop with your Mom and make the jewelry now? If Great-grandma leaves wearing the jewelry you made, she'll meet you again in the next life."

"Okay." Lauren wiped her tears and wriggled out of Jasper's embrace.

She turned to Adeline. "Mom, should we go now?"

Adeline nodded. "Yes, we can."

She took the keys to the company workshop from Jasper and was about to leave with Lauren when they heard footsteps and the sound of a wheelchair behind them.

Adeline turned around to see Blake pushing Bennett, following them.

They said, "We can help too."

Adeline felt a warmth in her heart, tears welling up in her eyes. "Alright. We'll make the gift for your Great-grandma as quickly as we can."

With that, the four of them got into the elevator together.

Jasper stood there, watching the elevator doors close, and finally let out a long breath.

Lily loved jewelry the most.

He hoped she would have time to wear the jewelry Lauren designed for her before she left.

After a moment, he took out his phone.

"Ryan. Find out where Nathan is. No matter where he is, bring him to me."

Lily was in this condition. Even if Nathan was despicable, he was still Lily's only son. Even if he had to be dragged, he had to be brought to Lily.

"Mr. Jasper Foster..." Ryan hesitated on the other end of the line. "No need to look. I just saw Mr. Nathan Foster downstairs. By now, he should be in your grandmother's room. Didn't you see him?"

Jasper paused slightly. "When did you see him downstairs?"

"About ten minutes ago?" Ryan tried to recall. "He was soaking wet and in a hurry, almost bumped into me. I recognized him and greeted him warmly, asking if he was here to see Mrs. Lily Foster. He didn't say anything and just went upstairs."

Holding the phone, Jasper's eyes narrowed slightly.

It only took a minute to get from downstairs to here by elevator.

If Nathan hadn't shown up in ten minutes, it meant he wasn't here to see Lily at all.

Taking a deep breath, Jasper got into the elevator and asked, "Rex is also hospitalized here, right? Which floor is he on?"

"The twelfth floor." Ryan replied.

In a room on the twelfth floor.

Nathan, with his clothes soaked in seawater, was taking off his jacket and wiping himself dry as he spoke.

"Don't worry, she's still alive. I hid her in a very safe place, with a doctor from a small clinic watching over her. The doctor said she was in a coma from nearly drowning. If we had found her any later, she might not have made it."

He looked up at Rex on the bed. "But didn't you say she was pregnant with your child?"

Rex was wrapped up like a mummy.

That day in the ICU, Jasper had beaten him up in the pile of glass shards, leaving Rex covered in wounds. His face, swollen and bruised from the beating.

He glanced at Nathan. "Of course, she was pregnant with my child."

At first, he had believed Molly when she said she was pregnant with Jasper's child.

But after Jasper beat him up, Molly visited him, and during their conversation, he learned that Molly hadn't slept with Jasper since she returned.

Since Molly had only been with him and not Jasper, the child in her belly had to be his.

Nathan rolled his eyes at Rex. "But the doctor said she wasn't pregnant at all!"

Nathan grew angrier. "If I had known she wasn't pregnant, I wouldn't have risked being discovered by Jasper to save her!"

Rex's eyes widened as he said, "Impossible! She said she was pregnant! I even saw her test results!"

"Those results were fake. I showed them to the doctor." Nathan rolled his eyes again. "You and Jasper were both fooled. She was never pregnant!"

Rex was stunned, unable to speak for a while.

Seeing him so upset, Nathan pursed his lips. "Alright, don't be too sad. Anyway, I saved her and hid her. When she wakes up, she can still have your child. After all, I saved her life. It's not too much to ask her to have your child."

Rex was silent for a moment before finally nodding.

"Then when she wakes up, I'll make love to her a few more times and give you and Mom plenty of grandkids!"

Hearing Rex mention Brenda, Nathan frowned and looked around. "Where's your mom?"

He had been in the hospital for a while, but there was no sign of Brenda.

Rex lowered his head, biting his lip sadly. "Mom, she..."

"Brenda was sent to the police station by me."

Rex's words were cut off by a cold, deep voice from the doorway.
