Chapter 525 What Are You Going to Do with Her?
"Jasper."
Luna watched Adeline walk into the villa, feeling helpless to stop her.
Biting her lip, Luna cautiously approached Jasper. She admitted her mistake, head down. "Miss Wilson not only refused my apology, but she also doesn't want to come with us for the check-up tomorrow."
Jasper glanced at her, putting away his phone. "Got it."
He had expected this. Adeline wasn't going to accept Luna's apology or the idea that she might have mental issues.
Honestly, Adeline's somewhat normal behavior lately had even made Jasper second-guess himself. But the bruises on Blake were real, and Blake crying and saying she hit him was real too, even though he later took it back.
Jasper opened the car door for Luna. "You tried, and she won't accept your apology. Don't ask me to take you to her again."
He got into the car. "I'll handle tomorrow's check-up."
Luna sat in the back seat, looking pale. "I want to come along tomorrow too."
She looked down at her hands. "Jasper, you know Dr. Smith is a great doctor. He diagnosed my previous illness. I need to see him again for a follow-up. If he's found a new treatment, I might have a few more years."
Jasper, sitting in the front passenger seat, frowned slightly. "Alright."
If Scott could really cure Luna, he wouldn't have to watch her suffer anymore.
Luna lowered her head, a sly smile on her lips. She had her own plans from the moment she suggested Scott's team evaluate Adeline. She had enough dirt on Scott to send him to prison forever. He had to listen to her.
"Mr. Foster, everything is ready. When will you arrive?"
"Alright, we'll wait for you."
Early the next morning, Adeline was half-asleep when she heard a strange man's voice nearby.
The voice mentioned Mr. Foster. Was it Jasper?
Adeline yawned and slowly opened her eyes.
She was stunned. She was still in her bed, but her hands and feet were tied! She was bound like a puppet!
Several tall bodyguards blocked the light in the room. The one furthest away was on the phone. It was his voice that woke her.
Adeline looked around in shock and started to struggle. "Who are you? What do you want!?"
Hearing her, the bodyguard grunted into the phone. "Yes, she's awake."
"Alright."
After a few more words, the bodyguard brought the phone to Adeline's ear. "Mr. Foster wants to talk to you."
Adeline bit her lip hard. "Jasper?"
"It's me." Jasper's low, indifferent voice came through the phone. "Yesterday, Luna asked you to see a doctor voluntarily, but you refused. I figured you think you're not sick and wouldn't come today. You'd even avoid me. So I took the initiative."
Adeline's eyes flared with anger. "Jasper! I told you, I'm not sick! I'm perfectly sane. You and Luna are the ones who are crazy!"
Jasper's voice was cold and indifferent. "But if you're sane, you wouldn't abuse Blake."
Adeline gasped. "I didn't!"
"Then how did Blake get those bruises? Did he hit himself?" Jasper's tone was icy. "Dr. Smith's team and I are on our way to Blue Bay. Since you won't come to us, we're coming to you. If it's confirmed that your mental state is normal, I won't do anything to you."
With that, Jasper hung up.
Adeline felt like she'd been struck by lightning, unable to move. Her blood seemed to freeze.
Jasper was bringing Scott's team to evaluate her mental state!
She sat on the bed in a daze, her mind blank. Scott's face from last night, when she threatened him, flashed before her eyes.
Adeline knew Jasper wanted someone to evaluate her, but he hadn't done anything these past few days, so she thought he had given up. She didn't expect Jasper was waiting for Scott's team.
The wealthy person competing with Mia for Scott's team was Jasper!
Adeline wanted to hold her aching head, but her hands and feet were tied. She couldn't even do that.
She closed her eyes, feeling utterly hopeless. How could she not have seen this coming?
Jasper listened to everything Luna said. He'd also listen to her about bringing a medical team to evaluate Adeline.
As for Scott, because of the leverage Luna had over him, he could even fabricate a false medical record saying Luna had a terminal illness with less than a year to live. Diagnosing Adeline with a mental illness would be no problem for him!
By then, as long as Scott issued a statement saying Adeline had a mental illness, all her struggles would be in vain. Even the threats she made to Scott last night would be meaningless!
Adeline had never imagined she'd really become Scott's patient!
Pain, helplessness, and confusion engulfed her.
With her hands and feet tied, she couldn't even make a call for help.
How could she have known that after just one night's sleep, she'd wake up tied up in her own home? And how could she have known that after being tied up, she'd face judgment from Scott, whom she had threatened last night?
Before long, she heard a car stopping downstairs.
Then, Jasper's deep, magnetic voice came. "Dr. Smith, please make sure to evaluate her thoroughly. This concerns the future lives of my two children."
After Jasper's voice, it wasn't Scott's voice that followed, but Luna's.
Luna laughed charmingly. "Dr. Smith is a titan in the medical world. Since he agreed to help, he will definitely do his best."
Luna sighed. "Jasper, have you thought about what you'll do if Adeline's mental issues are really severe?"
