Chapter 247 Totally Unqualified to Be Parents

Adeline opened the door and found Jasper still standing there in a daze, furrowing her brows slightly. "Come in."

Jasper's eyes were sharp. "Last night you..."

"Stop." Adeline turned her eyes and interrupted him coldly, "Jasper, whether you remember last night's events or not, I don't want to continue discussing this topic with you."

After that, she sat down on the sofa and picked up her laptop. "I have something to talk to you."

Jasper squinted slightly and closed the door behind him.

"These people are from the Foster family, right?" Adeline pulled up the information on her computer and showed Jasper the photos of those people one by one.

Jasper frowned tightly. "Yes."

However, after Nathan returned to the Foster family, he asked for these people.

Nathan said he needed someone to help him with things after he returned to the country.

Since Nathan was an elder, Jasper didn't ask more and gave him these people directly.

Unexpectedly, Adeline was now showing him these people's photos.

Jasper glanced at the screen again, confirming these were the people he gave to Nathan. "What's up with these people?"

Adeline took a deep breath and looked seriously at Jasper.

"You know, I've been abroad all these years, raising the kids alone. Brandon is my friend and has a good relationship with Bennett and Lauren."

Adeline added, "Brandon also knows about Molly's several attempts to harm Bennett and Lauren."

Jasper frowned at her but didn't speak.

Adeline continued, "This time, Brandon is against you because he wants to take revenge for Bennett and Lauren."

Jasper raised an eyebrow. "Take revenge for my kids, so he targets me?"

Adeline nodded. "Yes."

"Because Brandon found out that these Foster family people have been secretly protecting Molly abroad."

Jasper suddenly stiffened his body.

He looked at Adeline incredulously and laughed. "How is that possible?"

He sent Molly abroad on Stella's advice, intending for Molly to fend for herself.

He wouldn't care about Molly, who had tried to kill his biological children several times.

"But it's true." Adeline sneered and showed the photos of the Foster family bodyguards secretly protecting Molly and even fighting with Brandon's people.

Adeline said, "The country Molly went to happens to be Brandon's territory. Originally, he wanted to teach Molly a lesson for Bennett and Lauren, but he was stopped. Didn't you just admit that these people are from the Foster family?"

The photos on the computer screen flipped one by one.

Jasper's brows tightened.

Nathan said he needed people to help him, but it turned out to be for this matter?

Seeing Jasper's unpleasant expression, Adeline couldn't help but show a bit of sarcasm. "It seems you don't care about Bennett and Lauren as much as you say. On the surface, you sent Molly abroad to fend for herself, but secretly you had people protecting her, making sure she had no worries abroad. This isn't punishment but a vacation."

Adeline shifted to a more comfortable position, looking at him coldly. "Brandon was so angry at your protection of Molly that he decided to make you suffer. But I don't think it's necessary."Taking a deep breath, Adeline raised an eyebrow. "If in your eyes, Bennett and Lauren aren't as important as your ex-fiancée. Then why not let me take the kids back to a previous life, and we can stay out of each other's way?"

Jasper paused and then laughed.

Jasper leaned back comfortably on the sofa, his eyes lazy and indifferent. "So, after all this, you want me to give up the kids? Although Bennett and Lauren call you mommy, Stella and I are their biological parents."

The room fell silent for a moment.

Adeline took a breath and chuckled. "If the biological parents don't care about them, why should they stay with them?"

Jasper raised an eyebrow and turned his head, staring at Adeline with his deep eyes for a while.

Just as Adeline was getting irritated by his gaze, Jasper spoke, "I haven't neglected the kids, nor have I sent anyone to protect Molly."

"Then how do you explain these people?" Adeline gritted her teeth, her anger flaring up.

Adeline thought, 'At this point, Jasper is still arguing! Does he really think that just because of blood ties, he can treat the kids however he wants?'

"Parents who don't care about their children's lives aren't qualified to be parents!" Adeline shouted.

Jasper smiled. Then, he elegantly picked up his phone and dialed a number.

"Come up," Jasper said.

Five minutes later, Ryan hurriedly knocked and entered. "Mr. Foster, you called for me?"

The tall Jasper leaned lazily on the sofa, tilting his head toward the laptop screen. "Look."

Ryan walked over in confusion and glanced at the computer screen.

"Aren't these our people?" Jasper asked.

After saying that, Ryan picked up the mouse and clicked on other photos.

"Why does the background look like it's abroad? Didn't you give them to your father Nathan recently? Did Nathan send them abroad?" Ryan was confused.

Ryan scratched his head in confusion and looked at Jasper. "Are you showing me their photos because they did something wrong?"

Ryan's words puzzled Adeline.

She looked at Ryan incredulously, her voice shaky."Whose orders these people are following now?"

Ryan gave her a puzzled look. "Of course, they follow Nathan's orders."

Ryan looked at Adeline in confusion. "What's going on?"

Adeline bit her lip, too stunned to speak.

Adeline thought, 'Nathan arranged those people. Did it have nothing to do with Jasper?'

Seeing the expression on Adeline's face, Jasper smirked and glanced at Ryan. "You can go now."

Ryan looked at Jasper in confusion. "Mr. Foster..."

Before he could finish, Jasper gave him a look, and he quickly shut up and left.

When Ryan reached the door, he carefully closed it.

The room was deathly silent.

Adeline felt embarrassed.

Jasper remained elegant and proud on the sofa.

His dark eyes were staring at her.

Every part of her body touched by his gaze burned.

After a long while, Adeline finally managed to speak, "Why would Nathan protect Molly?"

Jasper replied, "My father's actions need investigation."

"Adeline." Jasper elegantly crossed his long legs. "Now, am I qualified to be Bennett and Lauren's father?"
