Chapter 617 I Want to Give You a Big Gift

With a massive explosion, the whole underground warehouse started shaking like crazy.

Dust fell from the drainage pipe above Adeline's head because of the tremor. She didn't have time to think. She grabbed Blake and Lauren and yanked them away from the drainage pipe.

After what felt like forever, the explosions and tremors inside the underground warehouse finally stopped.

The blast was so intense that even Jason's guys, who were far away, got knocked to the ground, and a building collapsed.

Adeline stared blankly at the thick smoke rising from the drainage pipe after the explosion, her heart pounding.

Bennett and Jasper were still inside!

Seeing Adeline's worried face, Blake frowned and tried to comfort her, "Don't worry about Bennett. He'll be fine. This explosion must have been caused by Molly's people. She must have moved to a safe place before it happened. Even though Molly is furious that Bennett betrayed her, she won't let anything happen to him. Without Bennett, she loses her last bargaining chip! Trust me, Bennett won't be in danger."

After saying this, Blake took a deep breath, "Where's Mr. Foster?"

Adeline closed her eyes, her voice trembling, "He and Ryan are inside."

These words left Blake and Lauren stunned.

Moments later, Lauren's tears started flowing. "What are we going to do? With such a big explosion, how can Dad and Ryan survive? Dad is still injured."

Adeline closed her eyes tightly, almost unable to stand.

Six years ago, she had faced the brink of life and death, knowing how resilient yet fragile life could be. Often, life and death were separated by a thin line.

Jasper's injuries had just started to heal, and now he faced such a massive explosion. Could he survive this?

At that moment, Adeline's phone rang. It was Jason calling.

"Adeline, I can't reach Jasper. There was just a big explosion here. What's the situation on your end? It looks like the explosion came from underground. Jasper mentioned going underground earlier. Do you still have people down there? Do you need my men to help with the rescue?"

Jason's call was like a beacon of hope in the dark for Adeline.

She bit her lip hard, "We need your help. Jason, Jasper and Ryan are still down there."

Hearing Jasper's name, Jason paused, "Alright, I'll arrange for people to go down immediately!"

From a distance, Adeline saw Jason's guys heading towards the entrance of the underground warehouse.

After a while, more professional rescue teams arrived. Adeline had Tim and Tom drive Blake, Lauren, and Sebastian back home, then walked over to Jason's main team.

At that moment, the rescue team was reporting to Jason. "The situation below is very complicated. The underground warehouse is large and has experienced a massive explosion. Many paths are blocked, and several load-bearing walls are damaged. If not handled properly, it could cause the entire warehouse to collapse."

Hearing that, Jason rubbed his temples and said angrily, "Don't tell me all that. Just tell me if you can get the people out!"

"It should be possible," the rescue team member sighed, "But do you want us to rescue the people alive?"

Jason glared at him coldly and said, "Of course!"

The rescue team member sighed again, "Then we need more manpower. I suggest you call all the emergency rescue teams in Radiance Springs and find some geology and architecture experts. We need to discuss how to get the people out."

He added, "Of course, we're talking about rescuing those who are still alive. If they died in the explosion, there's nothing we can do."

His calm demeanor made Jason even angrier, who clenched his fists and hissed through gritted teeth, "If Jasper is dead, you'll all pay for it!"

Seeing the usually carefree and calm Jason so anxious and irritable, Adeline clenched her hands at her sides. She took a deep breath, saying, "Jason."

Hearing her voice, Jason frowned and turned around to see Adeline. He immediately put on a relaxed expression.

"Don't worry! I've mobilized the entire city's search and rescue teams and found geologists and architects. We'll get Jasper out as quickly as possible!"

Adeline bit her lip, looking at the rescue teams discussing the rescue plan, feeling conflicted.

Jason frowned, blocking her view. "Don't look. You can't help here. I'm also worried about Jasper, but I'm not a professional rescuer. I can only wait here. Whether you wait here or at home, it's the same. You should go home."

Adeline stubbornly shook her head as she found a place to sit. "I know I can't help or go down to find him myself. But I still want to wait here. At least when Jasper comes up, I can see him first."

Adeline's words made Jason sigh. He couldn't persuade her to leave.

Jason looked at her deeply, his voice lowering, "Then be prepared for the worst."

These words brought tears to Adeline's eyes. She sniffed, "I know."

Adeline knew what she might face, but she was still willing to wait with hope. Before he went in, she asked him to promise to bring Sebastian, Blake, and Lauren out safely.

But Adeline forgot to tell him the most important thing: to ensure his own safety.

Regal Crest Hotel.

Molly sat on the sofa, swirling a glass of red wine while watching the rescue teams on the TV screen searching the underground warehouse, her brows furrowed.

Her subordinates reported that Sebastian had been sent to the hospital. Blake and Lauren had also gone home.

Adeline and Jason were still at the rescue site on the screen. So who were they rescuing?

Molly squinted and lost in thought. Could it be Jasper? If it was Jasper, things would get interesting.

She smirked and glanced coldly at Bennett, who was locked in a cage, "Was it Jasper you let go in the underground warehouse?"

Bennett's hands were tied, and his mouth was gagged, preventing him from speaking.

But from his angry and regretful eyes, Molly got her answer. She chuckled and picked up the phone, "Rex, I have a gift for you."
