Chapter 870 The Real Culprit is Actually Randy From the Torres Family
The air in the visitation room grew tense.
Daisy stared at Adeline, her face a mask, but her heart was pounding.
What's up with Adeline? How did she suddenly get so sharp?
Seeing Daisy stay quiet, Adeline smirked. "Why aren't you denying it?"
"Could it be that I'm right? That my baby with Jasper was swapped by you and Brandon?"
"No way, that's impossible!" Daisy quickly denied, laughing bitterly.
"We don't have that kind of power."
"Remember, the day you gave birth, I was in labor too."
"Brandon was with Howard the whole time at the hospital, either waiting in the hallway or checking on me during my tough labor."
"How could we have had the time to swap your baby while I was struggling to give birth?"
Her words made Adeline's brow furrow slightly.
True.
On the day she gave birth, Daisy was having a difficult labor.
In fact, Adeline's body only started reacting hours after she learned Daisy was admitted to the hospital.
Given the timeline, Brandon was with Howard the whole time and wouldn't have had the opportunity to interfere with her.
But Adeline didn't know that all of this was orchestrated by Brandon's people.
They had Daisy admitted first and then slipped labor-inducing drugs into Adeline's food, ensuring she gave birth at the scheduled time.
This way, if anyone asked later, they could say they were in the delivery room first.
Seeing Adeline's attitude soften, Daisy let out a sigh of relief.
"Adeline, we're desperate. We just wanted to do something for you and make a living for ourselves."
"Besides, we've lost all our background and influence. Finding your child with Jasper is still uncertain."
Adeline frowned, giving Daisy a cold glance before laughing.
"I can't give you a small company from the Phoebe Group because every penny of the Phoebe Group was earned by my mother's hard work."
"But I can give you enough money to start a small business."
With that, she took a deep breath and stood up to leave.
"I'm tired."
Watching her being led away by the prison guard, Daisy squinted her eyes slightly.
As she walked out of the police station, she bumped into a woman dressed in black, wearing a mask, sunglasses, and a baseball cap.
The woman paused slightly upon seeing Daisy and stopped in her tracks.
Daisy frowned, feeling puzzled.
It's early morning, and it's cloudy. The sun isn't even out, and this woman is wearing sunglasses to look cool?
She muttered to herself as she walked past the woman, ready to leave.
But unexpectedly, as they brushed past each other, the woman grabbed Daisy's arm.
"Daisy."
The woman smirked, her voice slightly hoarse. "You were kicked out of the Phoebe family, so I've returned."
Her words made Daisy's face turn pale instantly.
She widened her eyes.
"You, you, you…"
"Tamsin!"
The woman smirked, removing her sunglasses to reveal her venomous eyes. "It's me."
She released Daisy's wrist.
"I've come back to reclaim everything that's rightfully mine."
"And to watch you die."
Daisy's face turned even paler than the wall.
But despite her fear, Daisy squinted her eyes and sneered.
"Do you think Oliver will look at you, this ugly freak, now that you're back?"
"What are you doing at the police station so early? Reporting a crime? Or trying to cozy up to Adeline?"
She sneered. "Do you think that just because I've been temporarily kicked out of the Phoebe family, you can win Oliver back by sucking up to Adeline?"
"Tamsin, go home and look in the mirror. Your face would scare anyone. Do you think Oliver would like you?"
"Oh, by the way."
Daisy seemed to remember something, smiling as she leaned close to Tamsin's ear.
"You might not know this."
"Oliver has a girlfriend now. She recently gave birth to a daughter."
Daisy's voice was full of mockery as she looked at Tamsin's face.
"Oliver's current girlfriend is Adeline's good friend. Adeline introduced them."
A few words made the light in Tamsin's eyes turn icy cold.
Daisy patted Tamsin's shoulder with a faint smile.
"If I were you, I wouldn't come back to humiliate myself."
"Talking about loving Oliver, but in reality, you're just after the Phoebe family's wealth."
"If you truly loved him, you wouldn't have hidden away for over six years."
With that, Daisy laughed and walked away.
"Tamsin, you couldn't beat me six years ago. Do you think you can now?"
"Dream on!"
Tamsin stood there, watching Daisy's retreating figure, her eyes filled with hatred.
She would tear this woman to pieces one day!
After Daisy's figure disappeared from sight, Tamsin took a deep breath, suppressing her anger, and turned to enter the police station.
The officer on duty last night remembered Tamsin.
He thought she was there to visit Adeline again and handed her a visitation form.
"Just like last night, fill it out and you can see her."
But the woman in sunglasses smirked and laughed.
"I'm not here to visit Adeline."
"I'm here to report the murderer."
The officer raised an eyebrow. "Report the murderer?"
Tamsin nodded, raising her voice.
"Regarding the murder of Giselle at Crystal Heights Resort two days ago, I know who the real killer is."
"So, I'm here to report it."
Her words made all the officers present look at each other.
Finally, one officer called the leader.
"It seems there's a breakthrough in Giselle's case."
Half an hour later.
In the conference room of the Foster Group building, the phone on the table rang frantically.
Jasper frowned and paused the meeting.
He picked up the phone.
"What's up?"
The voice on the other end was the excited police captain.
"Mr. Foster, we have conclusive evidence proving that Ms. Wilson is not the one who killed Giselle!"
"The real killer is Randy from the Torres family!"
The captain's words made Jasper's brow furrow deeply.
He fiddled with the pen in his hand while talking on the phone.
"How did you confirm it? Fingerprints?"
"No."
The captain took a deep breath.
"Besides releasing a fake fingerprint lead, we had another piece of evidence we didn't disclose for the victim's privacy."
"The crucial evidence is…"
"The victim was raped before she died, and she had lacerations."
"A woman brought in a condom this morning found on the inside of the balcony railing, containing fluids from both the victim and the killer."
Jasper's hand holding the phone froze.
He spoke hoarsely.
"When will you make the arrest?"
"They're already on their way to arrest the suspect. Once we confirm the real killer, Ms. Wilson will be released."
