Chapter 241 What Did You Do Last Night?

Adeline was trapped in the study room by the drunken Jasper all night.

It wasn't until four in the morning that Jasper finally fell into a deep sleep.

Afraid that the children would wake up and not find her, Adeline endured her discomfort and left the study.

After Adeline left, the door to the main bedroom was gently opened from the inside.

Stella, full of hatred, came out and looked in the direction Adeline had left, her eyes filled with jealous malice.

Stella carefully opened the door to the study and helped Jasper, who was already deeply asleep, back to the main bedroom.

After placing Jasper back on the bed, Stella scratched a few 'love bites' on herself, then took off her pajamas and snuggled into Jasper's arms.

The night was silent.

The next morning, the first thing Jasper saw when he opened his eyes was Stella's peaceful sleeping face.

Stella was completely naked, with red love bites all over her chest and arms.

Jasper's eyes darkened.

"Jasper, are you awake?"

Seemingly aware of his gaze, Stella opened her eyes and then shyly extended her arm to cover herself. "Is it so nice to look at?"

Her embarrassed expression stirred a complex feeling in Jasper's heart.

He turned his face away, not looking at her. "Not sleeping a bit more?"

Although he had been too drunk to think clearly last night, he vaguely remembered that he and she had had sex until three or four in the morning.

He was different from Adeline.

Since getting married, Jasper knew that Adeline's stamina wasn't good.

The same amount of activity would leave him energetic the next day, but she would always need to sleep until the afternoon to recover.

Last night, he had kept her up so late again. She should be catching up on sleep at this time.

But Stella chuckled lightly. "No need."

"I've already slept enough."

A trace of surprise flashed in Jasper's eyes. "Really don't need more rest?"

"Yeah."

Probably seeing the confusion in Jasper's eyes, Stella lowered her head gently. "Although you made me a bit sore last night."

"But I don't need to rest that long."

After saying this, she climbed out of bed and gently put on her pajamas. "I'll go downstairs and make breakfast for everyone, okay?"

Jasper smiled lightly. "Since when have you been so diligent?"

Stella smiled back. "Haven't I always been so diligent?"

Actually, she was deliberately going to make breakfast for everyone at this time.

She knew that Adeline would definitely not have the energy or mood to make breakfast now.

So, she had to take this opportunity to appear more diligent and loving with Jasper in front of the whole family.

Thinking of this, Stella chuckled softly and went downstairs.

Jasper half-reclined on the bed, watching her leave, his brow slightly furrowed.

Her personality had changed.

Had her physical condition changed, too?

When Adeline slept until eight o'clock, the door to the children's room was knocked.

Seeing Adeline still asleep, Bennett frowned, jumped out of bed, and ran to the door to open it.

It wasn't anyone else knocking, but Stella, wearing an apron and a headscarf, looking very gentle and kind.

Seeing Bennett open the door, Stella smiled softly, her voice extremely gentle, "Bennett, where are Lauren and Adeline?"

"I made a delicious breakfast. It's still hot. Do you want to try it?"

Bennett frowned in displeasure and looked at her. "Can you make breakfast?"

Stella laughed lightly. "Of course."

"Want to try?"

Bennett turned to Lauren, who was still drawing design sketches by the bed. "Let's go downstairs."

After saying that, he closed the door.

Stella quickly blocked the door.

She glanced at the spot where Adeline was sleeping and said with a fake smile, "Why not call Adeline too?"

"It's eight o'clock, time to get up for breakfast."

Bennett frowned and extended his arms to block Stella. "Mommy is still sleeping. You can't wake her up."

Stella wasn't going to let him have his way. She stood at the door and raised her voice, "Adeline!"

"Adeline!"

"It's eight o'clock, time to get up for breakfast!"

"You have a morning meeting with Jasper at nine!"

"Adeline!"

Stella's voice was loud.

Adeline, groggy, finally woke up from her sleep.

After waking up, she looked at the time; it was only eight in the morning.

She had only slept for a little over three hours.

Adeline felt dizzy and got out of bed. "Thanks; I'll come down to eat."

She hadn't forgotten she had to go to work today.

Seeing Adeline tiredly get out of bed, a trace of smugness flashed in Stella's eyes.

A moment later, Stella chuckled softly and looked gently at Adeline's face. "I made breakfast, but it's still hot. Do you want to come down and eat?"

Adeline paused and nodded. "Thank you."

After saying that, Adeline yawned and went to the bathroom.

"We'll wait for you to eat together; everyone is here!"

Leaving this sentence, Stella smugly went downstairs.

Standing at the bathroom door, Bennett crossed his arms and looked at the yawning Adeline. "Weren't you sleeping with us last night? Why do you look like you didn't sleep well?"

Lauren, standing nearby, looked at Adeline's dark circles with concern. "Mommy, why don't you keep sleeping? Bennett and I can go downstairs to eat."

Adeline looked gently at the two little ones at the door, a smile on her lips. "No need; I should get up, too; I have work today."

After saying that, she yawned again and started brushing her teeth and washing her face.

When the three of them went downstairs, everyone was already seated in the dining room.

Not only were Jasper and Stella there, but Nathan and Lily were also present.

Sitting in the corner, Lily glanced at the sleepy Adeline and snorted.

"A guest staying here for just one night has no sense of being a guest and actually makes the whole family wait!"

"Those who know would think you're just an employee at Jasper's company; those who don't might think you're the mistress of this house!"

Adeline frowned, her head still dizzy, and she didn't bother arguing with Lily. She just sat down in a nearby chair.

Breakfast was sumptuous.

All of it was Jasper's favorite.

"Stella's cooking is really good."

Nathan, eating, glanced at Stella with satisfaction. "Getting up early to make breakfast for the whole family, Stella is really diligent."

Stella smiled gently. "It's what I should do as Jasper's wife."

After saying this, she specifically looked at Jasper. "Right, Jasper?"

Jasper smiled at her. "No need to be modest; just accept the compliment from my father."

She had been so tired last night, yet she got up early to make such a big breakfast, which indeed touched Jasper.

After all, this was the first time.

"Mr. Foster."

Unable to stand these two showing off their affection in front of him, Bennett pursed his lips and said softly, "I want to ask for a day off for Adeline."

"She didn't rest well last night."

Jasper frowned and then turned to Adeline.

Adeline looked exhausted, with dark circles under her eyes, clearly not having rested well.

A trace of displeasure flashed across his brows.

"Adeline, it's not your first day at work."

"You should know that today is the first day back after a business trip, and you have a lot of work to do."

Jasper coldly scrutinized Adeline's tired face. "Didn't rest well?"

"What were you doing last night?"
