Chapter 593 Today, I'm going to teach this scumbag a lesson for the Foster family.
When Molly dropped to her knees, the crowd went wild. Everyone was stunned, eyes glued to the screen where Molly was bawling her eyes out, and they started murmuring among themselves.
Adeline felt her body tense up. Molly was totally lying.
Although she had set strict rules for her party tonight—no invite, no entry, she'd made sure the security at the door knew exactly what Molly looked like. If Molly showed up, they'd spot her right away.
With tight surveillance at both the front and back entrances since the party kicked off, no one had seen a trace of Molly.
She hadn't even been near the place; she was just shooting a video performance nearby!
Molly's claim that neither she nor Jasper gave her an invite was a flat-out lie!
Adeline always thought Molly would show up in person to stir up trouble.
But she didn't expect that Molly didn't come; she sent a video instead.
And the one who brought the video in was Bennett, the very person she had personally invited! She glanced up at Bennett standing on the stage.
He was holding a mic, echoing Molly's accusations in the video, calling Jasper a jerk and accusing her and Jasper of treating Molly horribly.
Adeline's heart was racing.
She couldn't believe this was her Bennett.
Just a few hours ago, Bennett had cleverly saved her from Rex and assured her he wasn't a bad kid.
Molly was full of lies, and he bought every single one. Not only did he believe her, but he also stood up for Molly!
"Adeline." Jasper's deep voice whispered in her ear.
He saw her pale face and said softly, "Bennett just doesn't remember us."
Adeline sniffled, holding back the tears that were about to spill. She knew Bennett had forgotten them and genuinely thought Molly was his mom, which explained his actions.
As his real mom, seeing Bennett like this was heartbreaking!
Just as Adeline was about to lose it, Rex, who had been quiet, finally stepped up.
He frowned and looked at Bennett on the stage, "You said Adeline and Jasper wanted to kick you and your mom out of Radiance Springs. Got any proof?"
"Yeah."
Bennett sighed and pulled out some documents from his tablet. "Everyone, these are the documents showing that Jasper and Adeline's good friend Mia have been searching for my mom and me in Radiance Springs.
"From these documents, you can see they've done five or six thorough searches in Radiance Springs, all to find my mom and me and kick us out of our home.
"This is clear evidence. If you don't believe it, those of you who run hotels can think back if you've been inspected."
As soon as he said this, several hotel owners started to realize something.
"Seems like we were inspected!"
"But they said they were looking for a fugitive, not a woman and a kid!"
"Yeah, I thought the inspections were unusually frequent lately."
The crowd's chatter grew louder.
Rex couldn't help but cross his arms and laugh coldly. "I didn't expect Mr. Jasper Foster to look all gentlemanly but be doing shady stuff behind the scenes. You search the whole city for a woman and a kid just to kick them out? And you didn't even let her in your engagement party. Jasper, what are you so scared of?"
He strutted onto the stage, snatched the mic from Bennett, and sneered, "Afraid people will find out you have an illegitimate kid besides Blake and Lauren? Or scared that if Molly and her son show up, they'll spill the beans on how you framed Adeline, kept her for five years, and then ditched her?"
He scoffed, pointing right at Jasper, "You're a scumbag! A total loser! How can the Foster Group be run by someone like you? You don't deserve it!"
Jasper just smirked, leaning back in his wheelchair, watching Rex on stage.
"I'm not fit to be the president of the Foster Group, not fit to manage it. You think you are?"
Rex snorted, "At least I'm not a scumbag! I'm innocent!"
Jasper chuckled, "Oh, really?"
He looked up, his eyes coldly locked on Rex, who was holding the mic all smug. "Want me to spill the beans on everything you've done? Should I tell everyone how many women you've ditched and how many had abortions because of you, so they can see just how 'innocent' you are?"
Jasper's voice was low and icy, echoing through the room.
The whole place went dead silent.
Rex stood there, gripping the mic, feeling a wave of panic.
How could Jasper know about his dirty laundry? No way, it's impossible! Jasper had only known him for less than a week; how could he know about his overseas affairs?
He must be bluffing, trying to scare him!
Thinking this, Rex mustered his courage and glared at Jasper, "What nonsense are you spouting? I'm still a virgin!"
As soon as he said this, the previously silent room erupted in a couple of stifled laughs. Nathan rubbed his forehead in exasperation. How could he have raised such a fool?
"A virgin?" Jasper chuckled, taking the documents Ryan handed him. "At fifteen, you got disciplined for sexually harassing a female classmate. At eighteen, you got your girlfriend pregnant, gave her five hundred bucks for an abortion, and vanished."
After reading just two lines, he looked up at Rex. "Is this what you call innocent?"
Rex's face turned an ugly shade.
Seeing Rex getting roasted, Nathan quickly stepped up to the stage. "Jasper, even if you prove Rex isn't a virgin and has ditched women, it doesn't compare to what you've done! Don't think accusing Rex will get you off the hook!"
He took a deep breath and turned to Bennett standing beside him. "Actions speak louder than words. Kid, where's your mom?"
"In the parking lot outside."
"Someone, go to the parking lot and bring Molly in! As Jasper's father, I'm gonna teach this scumbag a lesson for the Foster family today!"
