Chapter 397 A Gift for Adeline
"Ms. Jones!"
"Luna!"
Seeing Luna fall, Jason and Jasper both shouted simultaneously.
Jasper quickly rushed forward and supported Luna from the ground, glaring angrily at Adeline. He reprimanded, "Luna's health is frail, as you have witnessed today. She didn't say anything inappropriate. Why did you treat her like that?"
Adeline looked at Luna, who was lying weakly in Jasper's arms, sneering. "She didn't say anything inappropriate?"
Adeline said, "Jasper, Luna brought up Blake and said she wanted to be Blake's aunt. Isn't that provocative?
"What does Blake have to do with her? Am I in a close relationship with her, or is Blake close to her?
"She might as well just say she wants to take Blake away from me and keep him with you."
Jasper's grip on Luna paused slightly.

Luna had once said that after her bone marrow was transplanted to Blake, Blake would have some connection to her, and having Blake regard her as aunt would complete her life.

"If anyone dares to hurt or take my child, I'll fight them to the end!"Having spoken, Adeline turned coldly, lifting her dress as she strode briskly into the venue.
A trace of heartache flashed in Jasper's deep eyes. His gaze made a chill pass through Luna's eyes.
She narrowed her eyes slightly, and tears began to fall from the corners of her eyes. "Jasper," Luna claimed, while she lay in Jasper's arms. "Ms. Wilson misunderstood me again. I wasn't provoking her or showing off."
"I understand." Jasper sighed, gently patting her back to comfort her before leading Luna into the venue.
Jason followed behind, sighing quietly.
When Adeline and Lucia returned to the venue, the ceremony had already started.
Mia was on stage, welcoming guests with the emcee.
Seeing Adeline return, Mia quickly jumped off the stage and rushed over, grabbing Adeline's hand and said, "Come on."
Adeline asked, "Where to?"
Mia replied, "You're coming on stage with me."
Mia winked at Adeline mischievously, and said, "The stage was originally set for me and Thomas, plus the emcee, making three people. Now that Thomas is in jail, you're here to take his place."
She then teased Adeline with a smile, "You didn't really think I invited you just to have an uneventful dinner like Lucia, did you?"
Adeline glanced up at the stage as she remarked with a hint of uncertainty, "Perhaps, let's forget about it?"
Tonight's theme was to celebrate Mia starting anew. What would Adeline be doing on stage with them?
"Go ahead." To Adeline's surprise, Lucia also encouraged her, "Since tonight's theme is about starting anew, Adeline, you should go up and start anew with Mia."
Lucia's words made Adeline pause for a moment, but she eventually agreed.

Mia let go of Adeline's hand and walked to the center of the stage, smiling at the audience with a microphone.

Mia then turned to smile at Adeline behind her and announced, "My good friend, Adeline, has also started anew."
