Chapter 763 Beat Him Until He Can't Stand Up

Daisy's words made Jasper let out a cold laugh.

Before he could respond, Dennis, standing nearby, cleared his throat and said, "He's got a rash lately, doesn't look too good. Didn't want to scare folks at the Phoebe Mansion, so he's been wearing a mask."

He glanced at Daisy and gave a faint smile, "Ms. Phoebe, I assume you don't want to see someone's rash, right?"

"He has a rash?"

Before Daisy could respond, Adeline instinctively took a step back, distancing herself from Jasper. "Then he definitely shouldn't take off the mask."

"I'm pregnant and easily startled. If I see his face covered in a rash, I might get nauseous again."

She turned to look at Howard, "Father, please have this rash-covered man leave. His presence makes me uncomfortable."

Howard pondered for a moment before looking up at Jasper. "Sir, I was planning to have you stay for some refreshments and wait a bit."

"But..."

He glanced indulgently at Adeline, "Since my daughter can't stand it, I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to leave."

Jasper narrowed his eyes slightly and nodded.

"Wait!"

Just as Jasper turned to leave, Daisy furrowed her brows, "You can't go!"

She had gone through so much trouble to expose Jasper, there was no way she would let him escape with just a rash excuse.

Seeing Daisy's reaction, Howard also frowned, "Daisy, what's wrong?"

Did Dennis's assistant offend her?

Daisy bit her lip, "I..."

"I..."

Finally, she pointed at Jasper, "He can't leave!"

"Why?"

"Because..."

"Because he's Jasper."

Before Daisy could finish, Brandon wheeled himself in from the doorway.

His wheelchair blocked Jasper's path, and Brandon looked up coldly at Jasper's face. "Mr. Foster, the Phoebe Mansion isn't a place you can come and go as you please."

His words brought an instant silence to the living room.

Adeline and Dennis exchanged a pale look.

Daisy looked triumphant.

Howard was filled with shock.

He stood up from the couch and walked briskly to Jasper, looking up at the man who was half a head taller than him. "You're Jasper!"

With everyone staring at him, Jasper elegantly smiled, one hand in his pocket, the other removing his mask to reveal his sharply defined face.

"It's me."

"Mr. Phoebe, nice to meet you."

Jasper's calm demeanor made everyone in the room gasp.

Howard's eyes widened in anger. "You! You!"

"How dare you sneak into our Phoebe Mansion!"

"Guards!"

He shouted angrily, "Arrest this man who dared to sneak into our Phoebe Mansion!"

Several bodyguards immediately responded, two on the left and two on the right, tightly restraining Jasper.

Held by the bodyguards, Jasper chuckled lightly, "Is this how the Phoebe family treats their savior?"

Mentioning this only made Howard more displeased!

"Savior?"

"Are you referring to that weed your friend sent, claiming it saved my wife's life?"

"Jasper, the Foster family is getting more and more outrageous!"

He snorted coldly and ordered the bodyguards, "Take him out and beat him! Beat him until he can't stand, then throw him out!"

Howard had been struggling to deal with Jasper, whom he despised, and now Jasper had walked right into his hands. Moreover, Jasper had trespassed into the Phoebe Mansion, so the Phoebe family could beat him as they pleased without anyone daring to object. It was the perfect excuse!

"Yes, sir!" The bodyguards responded, dragging Jasper towards the door.

"Wait!" Adeline bit her lip, unable to hold back any longer.

Howard frowned at Adeline, about to speak, but Brandon, still in his wheelchair, interrupted, "Adeline, don't speak."

He wheeled over, gently holding Adeline's hand, and whispered, "Mr. Phoebe is furious right now. Defending Jasper will only make him angrier. Jasper will suffer more."

Adeline frowned, silently pulling her hand away from Brandon, and walked briskly to Howard. "Father, let Jasper go. He came to the Phoebe Mansion today just to check on Mother, to see if the herbs he gathered helped her. Our family can't repay kindness with ingratitude."

Howard's eyes narrowed, "Ingratitude?"

Completely unaware of what had happened in the cabin, Daisy sneered, "Adeline, you can't just use a word without understanding it. Ingratitude? What kindness has Jasper shown our family? Is it the suffering he caused you, or the times he nearly bankrupted the Phoebe family? Or... are you referring to that weed he sent last time?"

"Jasper didn't send a weed." Finally, Dennis, who had been silent, spoke up.

Dennis presented all the evidence, including the recording of Brandon admitting that the Torres family's herbs were brought by Randy, to Howard. Seeing the evidence, Howard nearly lost his balance. He turned and sat on the couch, his sharp gaze sweeping over Jasper, held by the bodyguards, and then Brandon.

Finally, Howard snorted coldly, "Even if the herbs were gathered by Jasper, it doesn't justify him sneaking into the Phoebe Mansion!"

He looked up at Jasper, his voice icy, "But Adeline is right. If we beat you and throw you out now, it would indeed be repaying kindness with ingratitude. But if we don't punish you, the Phoebe family will become a place where anyone can come and go as they please."

Howard placed the items on the table, "So, I have decided... to follow through with the original punishment. Beat Jasper until he can't stand. And then, the Phoebe family will use the best car to send him back, and provide the best medicine."

With that, Howard looked coldly at Jasper, "Mr. Foster, what do you think of my decision?"

Jasper stood still, his gaze fixed on Howard, "Of course. Beating someone until there's not a single uninjured spot, then sending them home in a luxury car... Mr. Phoebe, didn't you do this once thirty years ago?"

His words brought an instant silence to the Phoebe Mansion's living room.
