Chapter 441 Get Out with Your Two Kids
Luna's words made Jasper's brow furrow a bit.
He looked down, his eyes soft but serious. "Luna, you know your condition. Just getting worked up can land you in the hospital. Sex is way more intense than arguing; your body can't handle it."
Luna bit her lip, grabbing Jasper's collar tight. "Jasper, you've never even tried. How do you know I can't handle it?"
She looked down, a shy smile creeping onto her face. "What if I can handle it?"
It had been almost a month since she and Jasper had been together. During this time, Jasper had done nothing but hold her. But what she wanted was far more than just Jasper's embrace. But Jasper always used her illness as an excuse, never giving her a chance.
Luna asked, "Can we give it a try?"
"Forget it." Jasper smirked, gently tucking a stray lock of Luna's hair behind her ear. "I don't want a midnight ER trip because of sex. We're fine as we are."
Luna bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes.
She looked up at Jasper's face. "Jasper, do you hate me? Do you not want me to have your child?"
Jasper let go of her, gave a bitter smile, and squatted down to arrange the fruits and snacks Adeline had sent. "I killed my own two kids; I don't deserve to be a dad again. So whether it's you or any other woman, I don't want anyone to have my child."
He looked up, reaching out to gently caress Bennett's photo. "I also don't want to keep talking about having another kid in front of Bennett's tombstone."
After saying this, he stood up, looking at Luna's face indifferently. "You wouldn't want me to be discussing our wedding date with another woman in front of your tombstone a year from now, would you?"
Luna was stunned.
She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, she said nothing.
Jasper said, "Don't forget what you promised me. You go with Adeline to the competition, and don't cause any trouble."
Luna bit her lip and nodded silently. "I understand."
At this point, Jasper's eyes were only filled with Adeline and Adeline's kids!
Luna's hands clenched into fists at her sides. She would eventually drive them out of Jasper's heart!
When Adeline arrived at the company, Lucia was already waiting in her office to apologize. "I'm sorry, Adeline, my issues have caused you trouble again."
Adeline patted Lucia's shoulder. "Just watch what you say and do from now on. You've seen it; I don't have much standing in front of Jasper either. If this happens again, I won't be able to protect you."
Lucia nodded, suddenly remembering something and turning to look at Adeline. "By the way, Adeline, do you remember Mr. Foster's five-year engagement to the artist Molly?"
Lucia's words made Adeline, who was organizing things, freeze.
She stiffly looked up at Lucia. "I remember."
Lucia pursed her lips. "I have a college friend who's a reporter and often hangs out at the airport. This morning, while chatting, he said he saw Molly return to Radiance Springs. At first, I thought he was mistaken, but he said Molly used to be an artist, and as a reporter, he wouldn't get it wrong. To prove his point, he even sent me a photo."
Lucia pulled out her phone and showed the photo to Adeline. "Look."
Adeline frowned and took a glance. Yep, it was definitely Molly.
In the few months since they last met, Molly had lost a lot of weight and looked much prettier. In the photo, she was rocking a red trench coat, smiling at the person behind the camera. But for some reason, Adeline found the smile super creepy.
Adeline pursed her lips and quickly looked away. "It really is her. I'm also surprised she's back at this time."
Lucia cautiously glanced at Adeline. "Do you think she's back to compete with Luna for Mr. Foster? After all, she was Mr. Foster's fiancée for five years. Even though they broke off the engagement, they still have a lot of history. While Ms. Jones, although she hasn't known Mr. Foster for long, they are very much in love."
Adeline squinted her eyes for a moment, then smiled. "If they really compete, I'm really curious to see who will win."
After saying this, she took a deep breath and continued organizing her things. "But I don't have time to think about that."
She handed a list to Lucia. "Help me gather these people; I need to prepare for the jewelry competition."
Lucia took the list and went out to gather the people for Adeline. This competition was team-based, and the Foster Group's team had ten members. Besides Luna, Adeline could manage eight people. Adeline first led them to determine the theme and direction of the competition, then assigned tasks to the eight people.
This took the entire morning. By lunchtime, Adeline's meeting had just ended. Except for Luna, everyone had been given ample work assignments.
"What about me?" Seeing her colleagues leave with their files, Luna leaned on the conference table, her eyes gently looking at Adeline. "Adeline, what do I do?"
Adeline smiled slightly. "You can handle logistics and make coffee for everyone."
Then, as if she had thought of something, she added, "But I hope Ms. Jones, after making the coffee, doesn't walk around with a full cup of hot coffee, lest you get startled by some noise and then Mr. Foster fires my employees again."
Clearly, she was referring to Luna's first day at the company, which resulted in Anne getting burned and almost losing her job.
Luna curled her lips. "Ms. Wilson sure holds a grudge."
She organized her files and stood up, giving Adeline a faint look. "But don't worry, Ms. Wilson, I won't do anything to make things difficult for you again."
Saying this, she leaned close to Adeline's ear and coldly whispered so only the two of them could hear, "After all, what I want most now is you finishing your task and getting out with your two kids."
After saying this, she sighed lightly. "Only when you take Blake and Lauren away will Jasper have no reservations about letting me have his child. He's still a responsible man and doesn't want me to get pregnant while you're still in Radiance Springs. So, Adeline, be sensible and work hard. Don't stay here to prevent us from having a child."
