Chapter 183 Not a Moment to Spare.
The dining room instantly fell silent.
Jasper coldly glanced at Sebastian, then at Adeline.
Finally, he coldly chuckled and said, "You said you are Adeline's boyfriend. Does anyone here agree?"
Sebastian squinted his eyes and didn't say anything.
Adeline furrowed her brows and looked up at Jasper's contemptuous face.
After a moment, she lightly smiled, "Being my boyfriend doesn't require anyone's agreement. It only requires mine."
After saying that, she solemnly looked at Jasper. "Sebastian is my boyfriend."
Later, she added, "Mr. Foster, if I take the children out to play, you must come along, and then I'll bring my boyfriend too. The five of us can travel together, which would be nice."
Adeline wanted to discourage Jasper from this idea.
Because she knew that Jasper disliked Sebastian and thought he definitely would not want to travel with him.
But she didn't expect that as soon as she finished speaking, both men almost simultaneously replied.
"Okay."
"No problem."
Adeline was stunned.
She instinctively glanced at Sebastian beside her, then looked at Jasper next to her.
One man had a smiling look in his eyes, while the other had a fierce gaze.
She opened her mouth to say something, yet a word escaped her lips.
In the end, she could only lower her head and desperately eat the food on her plate.
"Take your time eating."
Sebastian gently divided his food into her plate.
Jasper also started to divide his food into her plate.
Sebastian continued to give her vegetables.
Jasper continued to give her meat.
Soon, Adeline's plate was piled with food.
But the two men kept dividing the food on her plate.
Lauren noticed that her favorite grilled steak and green salad were all gone and angrily slammed her fork onto the table. "Hey guys, can you show some manners? My brother and I need to eat too!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Bennett quickly put down his fork, jumped off the chair, and went around Jasper to hold Lauren's hand. "Let's not eat here. I'll take you out for fried chicken. We don't need to get involved in the adults' conflicts!"
Lauren pouted and stared at Sebastian with some dissatisfaction. "It's all your fault!"
Lauren thought, 'If he hadn't insisted on coming home for dinner, I wouldn't have brought Dad here, and this meal wouldn't have turned into a battlefield.!'
Innocent Sebastian was a bit bewildered by Lauren's glare.
He sighed and said, "Lauren, it seems like I haven't done anything wrong."
"You claiming to be Adeline's boyfriend is your biggest mistake."
When the two children left after putting on their coats, Jasper put down his fork and sent Ryan a message.
Mr. Foster: ["Take care of Bennett and Lauren."]
After putting down his phone, he elegantly unbuttoned his shirt collar, revealing his neck, then sneered, "I have never heard Adeline agree to be your boyfriend."
Sebastian frowned, about to refute, but he saw a clear mark on Jasper's neck.
It was a hickey.
Sebastian's body trembled slightly.
He thought, 'Jasper is showing me this hickey at this time. So obviously, this hickey is from Adeline.'
Seeing Sebastian suddenly silent, Adeline frowned and instinctively looked up at Sebastian.
She noticed that he was staring at Jasper's neck and naturally followed Sebastian's gaze.
And so, she also saw the hickey.
Adeline's face instantly turned pale.
She thought, 'I angrily left this hickey on Jasper's neck last night.'
'At that time, I was so angry that I didn't even have time to choose a place. So I just kissed wherever I could reach.'
'It wasn't until I let go of my mouth that I realized this is an easily visible place.'
Thinking about these things, Adeline couldn't help but recall the scene from last night.
Her face slowly turned red.
Sebastian noticed this series of changes in Adeline.
He sighed, put down his fork, picked up the glass beside him, and drank all the liquid in one gulp.
In fact, he knew that the previous times, Jasper came here, hiding in Adeline's room.
But Sebastian had been lying to himself, saying that nothing happened between them.
But now the situation was obvious.
Sebastian placed the empty glass down, turned his head, and smiled faintly at Adeline.
"I suddenly feel like having fried chicken. I'll go find Bennett and Lauren."
After saying that, he turned around and left with a bitter smile.
With a bang, the door closed again.
Adeline closed her eyes in despair.
She thought, 'Sebastian must think I have no self-respect, think I like to lie.'
'I've made it clear to him multiple times that I'm not interested in Jasper, but despite my lack of interest, I must save Blake's life.'
But Adeline had no way of telling everyone who misunderstood her.
"You feeling uncomfortable?"
Suddenly, she heard Jasper's contemptuous voice.
Adeline frowned.
The moment she opened her eyes, Jasper pressed her down on the chair. He leaned down, his gaze as aggressive as his actions. "You've only known him for a short time. Why are you so reluctant to let go of him?"
There was anger in his voice.
Adeline frowned and turned her head away from him.
But Jasper turned her face back.
He lifted her chin. "Do you think I can't satisfy you? Or were you never faithful to begin with?"
Finally, his words infuriated her.
Adeline frowned and glared at him, "Jasper Foster!"
"Are you angry?" Jasper leaned in menacingly. His cool lips brushed near her ear, and his icy voice mixed with warm breath. "You won't be with any other man until I let you go." His voice was low and oppressive.
Adeline listened and then chuckled. She lifted her head, a hint of sarcasm in her eyes. "Mr. Foster, you can have many women, a wife at home, and many mistresses outside. Can't I?"
Jasper's gaze turned serious. After a moment, he chuckled coldly, "Are you jealous of Stella?"
Adeline rolled her eyes. "I'm not."
"You were clearly jealous just now."
Jasper kissed her lips in a good mood. He swallowed all her explanations.
Finally, he picked her up and threw her onto the bed in the bedroom.
Looking at Jasper on top of her, Adeline frowned and said, "You should go take a shower first."
She thought, 'He hasn't even showered yet!'
Jasper chuckled lightly and lifted her from the bed again. "Let's shower together."
A few minutes later, Adeline was struggling in the bathtub. "You said you were here to shower, right?"
Jasper chuckled, "I didn't say we were only going to shower."
Adeline rolled her eyes and sighed. "Let's not have relations tonight. I have to get up early tomorrow to work on the design drawings at the company."
She remembered the agreement she had with Jasper before.
"Forget about the design drawings for tomorrow."
Jasper frowned, "You're coming on a business trip with me tomorrow."
"A business trip?"
"Yes, we're going to Las Vegas. I have some business at the Quinn Manor, and I need to discuss some jewelry business with the Quinn family."
Adeline's body paused slightly. She thought, 'The Quinn Manor? Jasper never used to mention the Quinn family voluntarily or visit the Quinn Manor because of Evelyn; he had no fondness for the Quinn family. Now he's actively planning to go to the Quinn Manor in Las Vegas?'
Adeline remembered today's press conference. After publicly stating his intention to divorce Stella, he hurried to find Evelyn, with whom he had an engagement.
"Are you going to see Evelyn?"
"Yes."
Adeline's heart sank instantly. She thought, 'First it was Molly, then Stella, and now Evelyn? He never seems to take a break.'"
