Chapter 207 She Insists on Choosing Jasper

Adeline felt like she had fallen into an ice cave.
Linda grabbed her hand, her voice filled with urgency. "Adeline, do you want to... do you want to go down and see? Jasper doesn't seem like he's joking. And Zavier..."
Adeline looked at Linda as if Linda's voice was coming from another world. She had thought Jasper would be angry about her escape, but she hadn't expected... him to be this extreme.
Jasper had mobilized the largest gang, offering a reward to find her. He had tracked Linda down to her house, then threatened Linda with Zavier's life to hand her over.
Did her escape last night make him this angry? Angry enough to go to such lengths to capture her?
The woman bit her lip tightly. After a while, she composed herself, took Linda's hand, and said, "Don't worry."
"I..." She glanced at her disheveled reflection in the hallway mirror. "I'll wash my face and go downstairs. You go downstairs first, tell Jasper that I'll be down to see him soon, and ask him not to act recklessly with Zavier."
Linda bit her lip, looking at Adeline with worry in her eyes. "You... you won't be harmed if he catches you, right?"
"It's fine." Adeline smiled wryly. "He just wants to vent for Stella, he won't harm me. Don't worry."
With Adeline's reassurance, Linda finally breathed a sigh of relief and went downstairs.
Once she left, Adeline cautiously approached the railing, stealing a glance at the situation downstairs.
The living room was eerily quiet. The dark figures in black almost blocked out all the light in the living room.
Jasper leaned on the sofa like a proud and aloof king, his movements lazy and his eyes cold and arrogant.
In front of him, Zavier was being held down on the ground by several men in black. His leg seemed injured, staining the floor with blood.
The scene was heart-wrenching.
Adeline gripped the railing, her knuckles turning white.
Jasper.
When this man turned ruthless, he was truly terrifying.
Who would have thought that the reason for his grand display was because she had slapped Stella twice while drunk last night?
He wanted to vent for his delicate wife. He wanted her to be humiliated alongside five or six male escorts, didn't he?
Adeline bit her lip, made up her mind and went back to her room. She quickly washed her face, let her hair down, and applied light makeup using the items on Linda's vanity.
Didn't Jasper want her to do that kind of thing with five or six male escorts to vent for Stella?
She was determined not to let him have his way!
After preparing everything, Adeline hesitated for a moment, then undressed. She only wore her undergarments and put on her red trench coat.
Adeline looked at herself in the mirror with satisfaction. Her fair and slender legs peeked out from the small slit at the bottom of the trench coat, particularly enticing.
After three years of marriage, she knew Jasper's preferences too well. He used to adore these legs of hers.
Taking a deep breath, Adeline lifted her leg and descended the stairs.
The atmosphere downstairs was suffused with a chilling silence, and with each step, the scent of blood intensified, hanging heavy in the air.
Jasper glanced indifferently in her direction as he heard her footsteps. What caught his eye were the woman's slender legs. She wore a red trench coat and red high heels, her makeup bold yet not vulgar, charming her way into his heart.
The man furrowed his brow, his deep eyes complex as they scrutinized her.
Adeline had dark circles under her eyes, indicating she hadn't slept well last night. But she didn't seem to be injured.
The man subtly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Adeline." Linda sat on the floor, holding Zavier tightly in her arms, her eyes red as she looked at her.
Blood continued to seep from Zavier's leg.
Adeline pursed her lips and glanced lightly at Jasper. "Mr. Foster, I know that you are looking for me. I'm here now, so there's no need to trouble them further."
With a glance at the bloodstains on the floor, she frowned. "Get him a doctor."
Linda bit her lip, timidly turning to Jasper. Without Jasper's approval, Linda didn't even have the courage to bandage Zavier.
The man cast a brief look at Zavier, who was pale from blood loss, then at Linda, and slowly smirked. "You two should go to the hospital directly."
Linda hesitated. This was her and Zavier's home...
If she took Zavier to the hospital, wouldn't it give Jasper free rein here?
But after a moment, she dismissed her thought. Even if she and Zavier stayed at home, Jasper still had the power and influence to do as he pleased in her home.
With that in mind, she helped Zavier up. "Let's go."
Tim quickly rushed over to support Zavier on the other side, and together with Linda, they led Zavier out.
Seeing Tim, Adeline instinctively glanced at the group of people behind Jasper.
Ryan was there. The others from last night were there too.
Only Tom was missing.
Adeline felt a sharp pang in her head, as if pricked by a needle. Last night, when she and Sebastian escaped, Tom knocked out Ryan and prevented others from chasing her...
A bad premonition surged within her.
Adeline took a deep breath, gracefully gliding past the burly bodyguards before she approached Jasper with elegance. "Mr. Foster, going to such lengths to find me, you've managed to make me angry," she stated, her tone tinged with a hint of sarcasm. "If you didn't know any better, one might have assumed you've fallen for me."
Jasper's deep eyes bore into Adeline's face. "You know, you've managed to anger me too."
Last night, she had been intoxicated and taken away by Sebastian while not in her right mind. However, when Ryan found her later that night, she was mostly sober.
Faced with Ryan's concern, instead of returning to the hotel with him, she had teamed up with Tom to incapacitate Ryan, then departed with Sebastian.
And now, he found her here!
The man narrowed his eyes. Adeline was unfamiliar with this place, Sebastian had ill intentions toward her, and he hadn't slept well all night.
This morning, he had spent a great deal of manpower and resources to find a local gang, only to discover that she had been brought to Zavier's house by Sebastian.
Though he didn't know Zavier well, he distinctly recalled Zavier's wife, Linda, making threats against Adeline on multiple occasions. Even the incident with the pinhole camera in Adeline's room had been attributed to Linda and her father Lyndon's visit to Adeline's room.
Worry consumed him at the thought that something might have befallen her. Upon receiving the news, he hurried over, apprehended Zavier, and insisted that Linda surrender her.
However, instead of gratitude, he was met with icy indifference from this woman. It was as though she viewed him not as a rescuer, but as a threat!
"So how do I calm Mr. Foster down?" Adeline lightly smirked, scanning the towering bodyguards around her, then made a bold move and unbuttoned her trench coat.
The red coat fell to the ground. Her fair skin was exposed to the air.
Didn't Jasper want her to engage with male escorts and then humiliate her to vent his frustrations for Stella?
Well, she was determined not to let him have his way! With a seductive smile, she lowered herself onto his lap, her voice dripping with provocation.
"Will this soothe your anger?" Despite their offers of male escorts, she insisted on choosing Jasper himself!
