Chapter 54 Come With Me to Save Them!
Bennett stood outside the rental house.
He dialed Adeline's number again, but there was still no signal.
He tried to contact Lauren using Blake's special necklace, but he still couldn't reach her.
The young boy was becoming frantic.
Half an hour ago, mommy called him and said she was going back to the rental house to find a blueprint. He was worried that she wouldn't be able to find it among the many papers, so he wanted to come there and help her.
But now he couldn't reach mommy and Lauren.
The little guy started feeling uneasy.
Regardless of whether they were on the road or in Blue Bay, the phone should have a signal.
Forget it.
He took a deep breath and went upstairs with his keys.
However, when he reached their floor, he found that someone was guarding their rental room from outside.
The guard gave him a menacing glare.
Bennett quickly pretended he was going to visit a neighbor. He stood by their door and made a phone call.
Sure enough, the signal was being blocked here.
An alarm bell went off in the young boy's mind.
Mommy and Lauren must be inside the room!
Someone locked them in after they went inside and blocked the signal!
What are they planning to do?
It must be Molly's doing!
Bennett clenched his teeth tightly and quickly went downstairs to call Tim.
"Do you know where Jasper is? Is he at the office?"
"No, the receptionist said Mr. Foster went to the downtown hospital. His grandmother is sick. Boss, is something wrong?"
Bennett hailed a car by the roadside and got in. "Yes. I'll send you an address. Come over and stay there. Keep updating me. Have Tom go to the downtown hospital now! I'm going to find Jasper."
His calm and serious tone made Tim feel that something was not right. "Boss, don't worry. I'll go right away!"
"Okay." After ending the call, Bennett let out a long sigh of relief and leaned back in the taxi.
The taxi driver in the front seat glanced at Bennett through the rearview mirror and found him interesting. "How old are you?"
Bennett didn't really want to engage with him, but the taxi driver seemed to be an elder in his forties or fifties.
He reluctantly answered, "I'm six."
"Do you live in this neighborhood?"
"Yes."
"Then you should be more cautious. The weather has been dry, and there have been a few fires in this neighborhood. Be careful when the adults are not at home."
Bennett froze.
"Did you say… fires?"
The driver nodded. "Yes."
An alarm bell went off in the young boy's mind. "Please drive faster! Drive as fast as you can!"
He knew what Molly was planning to do!
Although he didn't know why he suddenly felt nervous, the driver complied with his request.
The car's speed truly accelerated.
The ten-minute journey only took five minutes.
The car stopped at the city center hospital. Bennett paid the driver and went straight into the hospital.
Tom was already waiting for him in the hospital lobby.
"What's happening, boss?"
"There's no time to explain!"
Bennett took a deep breath and, after inquiring about Grandma Foster's room number, immediately threw himself into Tom's arms. "Hold me! Let's go to the ninth floor, quickly!"
The elevators in this hospital were slow, and he couldn't afford to waste even a second!
Tom didn't ask for an explanation. He picked up the little guy and started running up the stairs.
After all, he was a young and strong bodyguard. In just a few minutes, he securely carried Bennett to the ninth floor.
As soon as they reached the ninth floor, Bennett's phone rang. "Boss, the room you asked me to keep an eye on... it's on fire. There are too many people guarding the entrance, and I estimate that I can't handle them alone. So, I didn't go in, but I did call the fire department. What should I do next?"
Bennett felt his vision darken.
There were guards at the entrance, and the room was already on fire. Can he find Jasper in time?
While running toward Grandma Foster's room, Bennett gritted his teeth and commanded Tim, "Take photos and record videos! Capture every single person at the entrance for me!"
No matter what, he would make those people pay today!
In the Hospital Room
Grandma Foster lay on the bed, still persistently pestering Jasper. "Jasper, if you don't give me a reason today, I won't let you go."
"Grandma, please don't trouble Jasper anymore. It's my fault..."
Molly sat by the side, wiping her tears with a tissue.
Although tears were streaming down her face, her eyes showed satisfaction.
By now, the fire should have started over there, right?
As long as she and Grandma Foster can keep Jasper here, that woman and the girl should cease to breathe.
The more she thought about it, the more satisfied she felt. Her tears fell even more vigorously. "I'm not fortunate enough to become your daughter-in-law."
Molly's crying was making Jasper inexplicably annoyed.
He understood Molly's hostility toward Adeline.
But was she so fixated on this matter?
Adeline was just an ordinary maid. Was it really necessary to treat her like such a formidable enemy?
"Jasper!" Grandma Foster glared at him. "Molly is crying. Can't you hand her a tissue? Even if you really want to dissolve the marriage, it wouldn't be too much to hand her a tissue, right?"
Jasper had nothing else to say. The man helplessly furrowed his brows and handed over a tissue.
Before Molly could take the tissue from him, a commotion erupted outside the door.
With a loud bang, the door to the ward was kicked open.
In that instant, when Bennett barged into the room, he saw Jasper offering the tissue to Molly.
The little guy instantly became furious.
His mommy and sister were in danger, but his father was offering tissues to the culprit!
Bennett rushed over and snatched the tissue away. "Mr. Foster, are you still here comforting her? Do you know that my mom and your daughter are about to be burned alive?"
Jasper frowned. "What are you saying?"
Lauren and Adeline were at home, right?
How could they be in danger of being burned alive?
"There's no time to explain!" Bennett clenched his teeth and grabbed Jasper's hand. "If you want them to live, you need to gather your people and come with me right now! It's already too late!"
Molly suddenly stood up. "Who are you? Why are you spouting nonsense?!"
Where did this little brat come from?
He ruined her good moment!
"We'll settle the score later!" Bennett glared at her fiercely and then turned back to Jasper. "Are you coming with me or not? Saving lives is more important!"
Jasper stared at him, unmoved.
