When Adeline returned to Grace's apartment, the police were already there.
Mia had been taken away by an ambulance, and the police and forensic team were securing and examining the room.
Thomas was handcuffed and about to be escorted away.

"Six years ago, when Jasper told you to hit me with the car, what exactly did he say on the phone?"

"They took some money from Jasper and forced me to break up with Mia, insisting that I take the hundreds of thousands and leave the country with them!"
"They said they weren't used to living here, that it was inconvenient. However, those are all just excuses! They were just tempted by Jasper's money!"
As he shouted, his handcuffs clinked. "Jasper intends to persuade Grace and Mark to make me give up on Mia and forfeit the White family's billion-dollar inheritance! I couldn't do it!"
The police behind him rushed over and pinned him to the ground. "Stay still!"
Despite that, Thomas continued to scream."I didn't mean to kill them! They forced me. No one can stop me from becoming a billionaire, no one!"
"Mia wanted to break off the engagement and conspire with you against me, no way!"
"I brought her here to show her what will happen when she doesn't listen to me!"
Thomas was taken away by the police.
Adeline stood still, her hands clenching and unclenching at her sides.
Her mind was blank. According to what Jason said, on that day six years ago, Jasper was in Neon City for a meeting.
How could he have found Thomas early in the morning?

It was Jasper's car. The car door opened, and he gracefully got out.
