Chapter 191 Does He Have a Heart After All

Adeline was held by Jasper for a long time.

In the end, the man almost fell asleep holding her on her bed.

Fortunately, he remembered that this was not his room.

After lying down for a while, the man drunkenly stood up and headed home.

Adeline took a look at his unsteady gait and softened her heart.

She took a deep breath, supported him, and slowly walked out of the room.

The door of the next room was still open.

Adeline sighed.

He must have forgotten to close the door when he left.

After helping Jasper into the room, she closed the door, turned around, and went to get him some water.

Judging from his condition, he must have come to her because there was no water in his room.

After placing the glass of water, she tucked him in with a blanket and turned to leave.

But just as she took two steps, he pulled her back.

The man lightly laughed as he pinned her down, "Wife, you've come home with me, where else are you going?"

Adeline was taken aback, before she could react, the man's kisses rained down like drops.

Stella came down from the top floor and went straight to Adeline's room with her subordinates.

She began knocking on the door vigorously.

"Adeline, come out! Adeline! You didn't want to be a third party, so why are you guarding someone else's husband!? Adeline—!"

She tirelessly knocked on the door. "Come out!"

Tonight, Jasper belonged to her, Stella!

She was well-prepared and couldn't afford to fail here!

Her attendant raised an eyebrow, took out his phone, and called the monitoring room again.

"Stella, stop knocking." Caleb Clark, the subordinate, sighed. "I just checked with the monitoring room, Mr. Foster has been assisted back to Mr. Foster and your room by that woman."

Stella was stunned, then clenched her teeth and strode to Jasper's room door.

She clenched her fist, about to knock, when she heard voices from inside.

"Adeline... you're my Adeline, it's you... I miss you... let me hug you..."

"Jasper, let me go! Jasper, you lunatic."

"I'm not, I'm not!"

The voices inside the room instantly fueled Stella's anger.

She was about to knock, but Caleb stopped her.

He furrowed his brow. "Stella, it's not wise to go in now." As you said, Jasper is not as enthusiastic about you as he is about Adeline. Since he's already drunk... he probably won't remember who he slept with tonight when he wakes up. As long as the woman next to him tomorrow morning is you, he won't suspect anything."

After speaking, Caleb cleared his throat. "Besides... with your prestigious status, you wouldn't want to go in now and play the role of a stand-in, would you?"

Stella's face instantly turned ugly.

She didn't actually care about what Caleb had said before.

But what she cared about was Caleb's last sentence.

She was a sophisticated woman.

She disdained being a stand-in for anyone.

She had transformed herself into Adeline through plastic surgery, living as Adeline, and she had already sacrificed enough.

She didn't want to be a stand-in again.

With that in mind, the woman snorted coldly, raised her hand to withdraw it.

"You stay here and let me know when Adeline leaves."

Caleb paused, nodded. "Okay."

That night, Jasper had a very long and vivid dream.

In the dream, Adeline returned to his side.

She fed him water, listened to him call her his wife.

And the two of them...

In the dream, he called her Adeline, and she responded to everything.

Not the awkward responses like with Stella, but natural ones.

The man closed his eyes and savored the dream for a long time.

If only this dream... were real.

After a while, he opened his eyes.

In front of him was the luxurious decor of a hotel suite.

On the huge soft bed, not only he was sleeping, but also... Stella, dressed only in close-fitting clothes.

The woman lay in his arms, sleeping like a little cat.

On the floor beside the bed, there were piles of used tissues and their discarded clothes.

Jasper rubbed his forehead.

He couldn't pretend not to know what had happened in this scene.

Could everything from last night be real?

"Are you awake?"

As if hearing his voice, Stella silently opened her eyes and looked up at him from his embrace.

Her eyes were misty with tears as she blinked. "You were rough last night."

Jasper paused, then reached out to pull her into his arms. "I was happy last night."

It seemed like everything was not a dream.

Last night... he finally found back the feeling he had originally cherished in her.

"I was happy too."

Stella lay in his arms, her voice joyful, but hidden in her unseen eyes was resentment.

Last night...

In the room next door, Adeline was still fast asleep.

Jasper had been too harsh on her last night.

He had gone crazy, insisting that she call him honey and almost forcing her to call him that.
The more she called him honey, the more ruthless he became. She had almost no strength left to return to her own room last night.

At around eight in the morning, the doorbell rang.

The weary woman, with sleepy eyes, walked to the door. "Who is it?"

"It's me." At the door, Stella stood there in a fresh outfit, smiling. "Did you sleep well last night? I just went out with Jasper to buy breakfast, and I brought you one."

After hearing Stella's words, Adeline subconsciously glanced behind her, only to see Jasper standing not far away.

He was neatly dressed, looking handsome, and holding breakfast for both him and Stella.

A slight pause in her heart, she smiled as she took the breakfast from Stella. "Mr. Foster and Ms. Foster are so spirited early in the morning."

Stella smiled faintly. "Yes, we made up last night, and this morning I went to buy breakfast. I wanted him to rest, but he insisted on accompanying me."

With a smile, she added, "Adeline, we are very happy now, and I hope the future you will be just as happy!"

Adeline's cold gaze swept over Jasper.

The man stood there expressionless, one hand holding breakfast, the other playing with his phone.

She turned to look at Stella, coldly smiling. "Then I wish Mr. Foster and Ms. Foster continued happiness like last night."

With that, regardless of Stella's expression, she slammed the door shut with a "bang."

Outside the door, Stella's slightly displeased voice could be heard. "I kindly bought breakfast for Ms. Wilson, why does she seem unhappy?"

Then, the man's cold and stern voice sounded. "Don't mind her."

Adeline leaned against the door, her hand tightly clutching her heart.

So, after what happened last night, he could stand in front of her and Stella so carefree, showing affection.

This man, did he have a heart?
