Chapter 580 Let That Fool Sebastian Go Home

"Blake, when do you think Dad's gonna wake up?"

Back at Blue Bay, Lauren was sprawled on the couch, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Blake glanced over and sighed. "He'll wake up eventually, as long as he's out of danger. It's just a matter of time."

He turned to Lauren. "But don't you think the real priority is figuring out who hurt Mr. Foster?"

Lauren pouted. "It had to be some hitman sent by bad guys."

Blake narrowed his eyes. "No way. From the surveillance I checked, only two cars went to find Mr. Foster. Excluding the drivers, there were less than ten people."

He continued, "Mr. Foster had four or five bodyguards with him, all top-notch."

"And the fact that Mr. Foster got hurt is only known to those close to him. No one else knows." He added.

He said, "An uninjured Mr. Foster is a tough guy; they couldn't have taken him down that easily."

Lauren looked puzzled. She scratched her head. "Blake, what are you getting at?"

Blake narrowed his eyes. "It means the number of people they brought was just enough to handle Mr. Foster's bodyguards. They didn't plan for anyone to deal with Mr. Foster."

He touched his chin, deep in thought. "So the person who hurt Mr. Foster must be someone who could get close to him and catch him off guard."

Lauren blinked. "There aren't many people like that."

Blake closed his eyes. "I actually have someone in mind."

"Who?"

"Bennett."

Lauren's eyes went wide. "Bennett! No way!"

She bit her lip, tears still on her face, and couldn't help but defend Bennett. "Bennett would never do something like that! He's the best person in the world!"

Then she remembered the surveillance footage she saw that day.

She bit her lip again. "Maybe the person we saw that day wasn't Bennett at all. Maybe it was just someone who looked a lot like him!"

Blake sighed and walked over to gently hug his sister's shoulders. "Lauren, stop lying to yourself. In this world, besides Bennett, there's no one else who looks exactly like me."

Lauren looked at him, tears silently falling. "If it really was Bennett who hurt Dad, I'll never forgive him for the rest of my life!"

Blake sighed. "But first, we need to confirm if it was really him."

In the penthouse suite of a five-star hotel in Radiance Springs, Bennett stood in front of Molly, his gaze sincere and serious. "Mom, I did what you asked. I stabbed Jasper."

He asked, "I've done everything you asked. Can you let Sebastian go now?"

Molly crossed her legs, took a sip of her wine, and looked down at Bennett with a hint of disdain. "I heard that just a minute after you left last night, an ambulance took Jasper away."

She placed the wine glass back on the table, a cold smile on her lips. "Did you call the ambulance?"

Bennett was silent for a moment. "No."

Molly's eyebrows shot up, her eyes flashing with venom. "The person who called for you yesterday already confessed! Liam, you're quite clever. Didn't I tell you to give him a severe lesson?"

"And you only stabbed him once and then called an ambulance," she continued.

Bennett stood there, head lowered. "Mom, when I got there, I saw he already had a deep stab wound on his stomach. He was very weak, so I only stabbed him once and called an ambulance."

He took a deep breath, looking at Molly with calm eyes. "You also said that Jasper is my father, and we came back to Radiance Springs to drive away Adeline and her two children and reunite with Jasper."

"Last night, you just wanted to let him know we are back," he added.

"Seeing his wounds, I thought if I was too harsh, he might die on the spot," he continued.

After saying this, he bit his lip. "We can't let Jasper die at this time, otherwise, I won't inherit his estate, and you won't be able to become the real Mrs. Foster."

His words seemed to calm Molly down.

"That's more like it," she snorted coldly, took a key from her pocket, and threw it at Bennett. "This is the key to the room where Sebastian is held. Go."

The key hit Bennett's face, leaving a red mark on his fair skin, and the edge of the key even poked his eye.

But he seemed to feel nothing, picked up the key, and slowly stood up. "Thank you, Mom."

With that, he turned and left.

Molly leaned back in her chair, watching Bennett's departing figure, a cold smile on her lips. "I'll spare Sebastian this time. If he dares to contact the outside world without my permission again, I won't be as merciful as this time."

Bennett paused, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. "I understand."

He closed his eyes. "Do your previous words still count?"

Molly raised an eyebrow. "What?"

Bennett took a deep breath, his voice hoarse. "If I obey you completely and help you get what you want, you would let Sebastian go. Do those words still count?"

Molly paused, then smiled. "Of course they count. As long as you help Mommy get everything I want, I will let that fool Sebastian go home."
