Chapter 261 I Hacked Into His Computer

That night, Adeline slept like a baby.

Bennett was on her left, Lauren on her right, and Blake's soft breathing came from the pendant on the bedside table.

The three most important individuals in her life were right there with her.

She hugged Bennett and Lauren tight, suddenly feeling like all her problems were no big deal.

As long as her loved ones were by her side, everything would work out.

Early the next morning, Violet's knocking woke her up.

"Adeline, wake up! Good news!" Violet said.

Adeline opened her groggy eyes, rubbing her aching head as she got out of bed to open the door. "Keep it down; Bennett and Lauren are still asleep."

Violet hesitated, looking apologetically into the room.

The two little ones on the bed seemed to be sleeping soundly, undisturbed.

Adeline closed the door and yawned, pulling Violet to sit on the couch. "What's the good news?"

"Here!" Violet handed her today's newspaper.

On the front page was Brian's apology letter.

Adeline's eyes widened.

She snatched the newspaper and carefully read the contents.

It was Brian's letter of apology to her.

Brian confessed that he liked Adeline so much that he secretly befriended her online. He mentioned how Adeline, caring for him as a junior in the jewelry design industry, would video chat with him immediately to help with his questions, even while at work. During these calls, Brian had unintentionally seen Adeline's design sketches, leading him to copy them and publish them online before her.

It was only after the video incident yesterday that he realized the gravity of the situation. If it would affect Adeline's career, he was willing to stand up, tell the truth, and sincerely apologize to Adeline and the Foster Group.

Stunned by the contents of the newspaper, Adeline was lost for words.

She read through the letter again to make sure she understood.

Turning her head, she looked at Violet dazedly, "This..."

Excitedly, Violet grabbed Adeline's hand, "This is good news, right? Great news!"

Adeline was also excited.

Reading through the newspaper again, a heavy weight lifted from her heart.

Since Brian had admitted to stealing Adeline's sketches, the accusations of plagiarism no longer held. Moreover, Adeline noticed a detail.

Brian had detailed his process of stealing her sketches in the letter.

Throughout the process, the theft was solely his doing.

It meant that Brian's apology letter not only cleared Adeline of plagiarism accusations but also concealed Daniel's theft and leaking of company secrets.

Setting down the newspaper, Adeline excitedly clasped her hands together.

Who could convince Brian from across the Pacific Ocean to confess to intentionally stealing her designs?

"Could it be Jasper?" Once her emotions settled, Violet asked softly.

Adeline shook her head, "I don't know."

"Mama." At that moment, Bennett yawned as he emerged from the bedroom.

Bennett smiled at Adeline and winked, "I told you to trust Blake's abilities."

Violet's eyes widened in disbelief, "Blake did this!?"

Could a six-year-old child really accomplish such a big feat?

"It's not that difficult," Blake's voice came from Bennett's pendant, sounding a bit smug. "This guy Brian has his weaknesses."

"As long as I know his weak spots, getting him to confess is a piece of cake."

Violet's jaw dropped in shock.

Adeline rubbed her forehead and sighed deeply. "I never thought this would get sorted out so smoothly."

She had expected it to take at least a day or two to find a real solution.

But everything had changed overnight.

Blake said, "I told you to sleep tight and wake up to everything being resolved. I didn't lie, did I?"

Adeline laughed.

After a moment, she asked, "I'm curious how did you get Brian to cooperate like this?"

"It's nothing, really," Blake said casually. "I hacked into his computer."

"I found everything on his hard drive, including his childhood bedwetting diaries, his failed attempts at pursuing crushes, and evidence of him commissioning other designers for sketches."

Adeline paused, then spoke slowly, "So, his identity as a genius designer..."

"Yeah," Blake confirmed. "It's fake. He loves jewelry design, but that's it. He doesn't have any real talent. All his previous designs were bought from other designers."

Adeline rubbed her forehead. She hadn't considered these things.

"But..." Blake continued after a moment, "When I threatened Brian last night, I only made him admit to stealing your sketches."

"I didn't mention anything about clearing Grandpa's name of the theft."

"With Brian's personality, he wouldn't have taken it upon himself to clear Grandpa of the charges."

Adeline froze for a moment. "Are you saying..."

"The person who met with Brian last night wasn't just me," Blake said. "After my conversation with Brian, someone else must have used a different method to make him take all the blame."

"I think that person was Jasper." Blake cut to the chase.

Adeline's breath caught.

Jasper.

Why would he make Brian take the fall for Daniel? For Stella, or her?

Adeline couldn't figure it out.

After ending the call with Blake, her emotions became even more complex.

After much hesitation, she picked up her phone and walked to the balcony, calling Jasper.

The phone rang for a while before Ryan answered instead of Jasper.

"Adeline." Ryan's voice sounded weary. "We're at the airport; the plane is about to take off."

Adeline furrowed her brows. "Where are you going?"

"We're not going anywhere." Ryan sighed. "After dropping you off at Willowcrest Terrace last night, Mr. Foster went straight to the airport and flew to Brian's country."

"We found Brian overnight and made him take all the blame."

"Mr. Foster didn't sleep all night and has just fallen asleep now."

Adeline's breath caught. She pressed her lips together. "Thank you for your hard work."

"It's nothing." Ryan hesitated, holding the phone. "But there's something I want to tell you."

"Last night, the person who faced off with your hacker friend online wasn't Brian. It was Mr. Foster himself."
