Chapter 758 Do You Still Remember Mr. Torres?
Dennis seemed to pick up on what Jasper was thinking. He furrowed his brow and gave Jasper's shoulder a reassuring pat, signaling him to stay calm.
Whether Adeline was pregnant or not, Dennis would know with just one examination.
Jasper kept his head down, silent, and followed Dennis.
When they reached the cabin door, Brandon and Zara were already deep in conversation, tossing around four potential baby names.
Dennis cleared his throat and knocked. "Mrs. Phoebe, it's Dennis."
Zara's eyes lit up at the sound of his voice. "Dennis is here!"
Adeline quickly came to the door, smiling. "Finally! My mom's been waiting forever..."
But her smile faded when she saw the man in the white coat and mask behind Dennis.
Jasper's face was pale, his eyes tired. The mask covered most of his face, making him hard to recognize.
But Adeline knew him too well. She could recognize him just by his silhouette.
Her brow furrowed. She lowered her voice and asked Dennis, "What are you doing?"
Why would Dennis bring Jasper here? This was the Phoebe Mansion! Jasper, with his deep-seated grudge against the Phoebe family, coming here was practically a death wish.
"You'll see," Dennis replied calmly, sidestepping Adeline and walking inside.
Jasper pretended not to know Adeline and followed Dennis in.
Adeline caught a whiff of the medicinal scent on Jasper as they brushed past each other. It seemed his illness hadn't fully healed.
Adeline narrowed her eyes. He hadn't recovered yet, and he was disguising himself to enter the Phoebe Mansion. What was he planning?
She turned around to see Dennis already examining Zara.
As expected, neither Zara nor Brandon recognized Jasper.
Jasper stood quietly behind Dennis, watching him for a while before starting to look around.
"Adeline," Brandon called, motioning for her to come over.
Adeline pressed her lips together and glanced at Jasper before walking over to Brandon.
Brandon wrapped his arm around Adeline's waist, their closeness almost inappropriate.
As Brandon held her, Adeline felt a cold gaze on her back, making the air in the cabin drop a few degrees.
Brandon, oblivious, chuckled, "Mr. Gonzalez is the best doctor in Oceancrest City."
"After he finishes examining Mrs. Phoebe, let's have him check on you and prescribe some prenatal medicine?"
Adeline's face stiffened. She didn't want to continue the topic of the baby in front of Jasper, fearing he might find out. But she couldn't act too strangely either.
Brandon was very observant. He hadn't recognized Jasper because he wasn't familiar with him. But if she acted too nervous, he would definitely notice.
If Jasper was discovered sneaking into the Phoebe Mansion, the consequences would be unimaginable!
While Adeline was hesitating, Dennis had already finished examining Zara.
"Mrs. Phoebe, your health is improving well," Dennis said. "After the poison was cleared, your body has been gradually recovering. I'll prescribe some more medicine, and in a few months, you won't need to rest anymore and can return to the main house."
Zara smiled, "That's good to hear!"
"But," Dennis continued, motioning for Adeline to sit down for her examination, "Mrs. Phoebe, I always wanted to ask, you haven't tested any medicine for years. Why did you suddenly test one this time and get poisoned?"
Zara's face turned slightly pale. She turned away, not wanting to continue the topic, and noticed the two masked men helping Dennis with the medicine box.
"Why are there new people today? Isn't it usually Nova helping you with the medicine box?"
Dennis smiled, placing his fingers on Adeline's pulse. "We have a few new patients at home, just like Nova. She's busy taking care of them."
"I saw she enjoyed playing doctor, so I let her stay home to help."
Adeline's heart skipped a beat. The new patients Dennis mentioned must be Blake, Bennett, and Lauren.
She recalled the scene from last night when the three kids followed Jasper in the rain to apologize. Her heart ached.
They had caught colds after all. Blake and Lauren had always been frail, and only Bennett was healthy. But after being tormented by Molly, even Bennett's health had deteriorated.
She wondered when they would recover from their colds... As Adeline was lost in thought, Dennis's brow furrowed deeply.
He looked up at Jasper and nodded silently.
Adeline was indeed pregnant.
In the distance, the masked man stiffened.
How could this be? He thought the pregnancy was just a lie Adeline made up to make him give up.
He had convinced himself that Adeline couldn't be pregnant so soon after her miscarriage... But Dennis's confirmation left him stunned.
Adeline was really carrying Brandon's child!
If he hadn't disguised himself and followed Dennis into the Phoebe Mansion, he would have rushed over and strangled Brandon!

Seeing Dennis examine Adeline for a long time without saying anything, Zara frowned and asked, "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

He looked up in panic. "Mr. Gonzalez, I..."

This man... wasn't he the one Brandon had recently planted as a spy with Dennis?
How could he be here with Dennis? The people carrying Dennis's medicine box were supposed to be his trusted aides!
This servant had only been at Swan Villa for a short time. Brandon's alarm bells went off. What was Dennis planning?
At that moment, Zara noticed the herb in the box. "Dennis, this is..."
"This is the herb Mr. Torres brought to treat you, Mrs. Phoebe," Dennis replied, glancing at Brandon. "Mr. Torres personally delivered it to me. Do you remember, Mr. Torres?"
