Chapter 372 A Strong Smell of Blood
Adeline squinted her eyes. "What exactly do you want?"
Thomas laughed maniacally. "How is that any concern of yours?"
"I made this call just to inform you."
"Adeline, from now on, stay out of my business with Mia!"
"If you don't want your other two kids to die like the one before, take care of them and live your life!"
"Mind your own business!" Then, he directly hung up the phone.
Adeline clutched her phone, listening to the busy tone, her heart sank heavily.
She took a deep breath and quickly opened the computer beside her.
Although the tracking software Mia installed on Thomas's phone had been removed, her phone had been specially tracked by Blake last night.
Just now, Thomas called her using Mia's phone, which meant her phone was still with them!
She quickly opened the monitoring software on her computer.
The red dot representing Mia's phone was moving slowly towards the eastern suburbs.
She bit her lip hard. At this moment, her first reaction was to call the police.
But if she called them, they might not understand the real situation and might just think they were an ordinary couple having a fight.
Thinking of this, she hesitated for a long time and finally found Jasper's number.
Although she had just had an unpleasant argument with him, this was urgent.
When she was abroad, she could turn to Brandon for help. When Sebastian was still around, she could turn to him. But now, in such a situation, the only person she could think of was Jasper.
Furthermore, the White family, where Mia belonged, were acquaintances with Jasper many years ago. His close friend, Jason, was also considered Mia’s cousin.
She thought hewould help.
But what she didn't expect was that when she mustered up the courage to call Jasper, he was indifferent. "I'm very busy right now."
He coughed lightly. "How about this? I'll have Jason go to Blue Bay and join you in rescuing Mia."
"Jason has some family ties with Mia, so he will help."
"Got to go. I'm busy."
After that, he really hung up the phone lightly.
On this end, Adeline held her phone, completely stunned.
Was he taking revenge?
Since she had just treated him poorly, he wouldn't even save her friend's life?
Thinking of this, she instantly felt upset.
She looked up at the computer screen. Mia's signal had stopped moving in the direction of the eastern suburbs.
She immediately became alert.
In this situation, either they had reached their destination, or Thomas had thrown Mia's phone away!
The former was better, as they could still follow the signal to find their hiding place.
But what if it was the latter? If she didn't hurry, it would be too late!
Who knew what Thomas and his family might do to Mia!?
Thinking of this, she got up and went downstairs.
She didn't ask the family driver to drive but hailed a cab directly. "To the eastern suburbs! Quickly!"
The driver nodded, and the taxi drove off quickly.
On the way, she received a call from an unknown number.
"Hello, this is Jason." Jason's voice was cold. "What's wrong with Mia?"
Hearing his tone, Adeline bit her lip hard.
Although unwilling, she could only speak to Jason politely, "I need help right now; can you bring people over?"
"I'm heading towards the eastern suburbs."
Jason paused on the other end, his voice becoming serious. "I'll bring people over right away!"
"Where are you now? Do I need to pick you up?"
She looked at the rapidly passing street scenes outside the car window. "No need, I'm already in a taxi."
"If your people are coming, hurry."
Her words made Jason silent for a moment.
After a while, he laughed. "I've never seen a woman as brave as you."
Despite the obvious urgency of the situation and knowing well that the other party wanted her dead, she still went.
She paused, then smiled and said, "A woman without comfort or love must be a bit braver."
After saying this, she directly hung up the phone.
On the other end, Jason listened to the busy tone, her words echoing.
She was a woman with no comfort and no love?
She was really modest.
To have both Andrew's son and Jasper fall for her, she was a woman with no comfort and no love? What a joke.
Thinking of this, he changed to a more comfortable position and instructed the driver, "Take people to the eastern suburbs, find a taxi, and follow it."
After saying this, he took out his phone and opened the chat with Jasper.
Jason: [Did you see her?]
Jasper: [Yes.]
Jasper: [I'm still at the hospital waiting for the results.]
Jason: [Even though it's bone marrow cells stored from years ago, the fact that they can match means there's no problem.]
Jason: [Besides, any problem can be overcome!]
Jason: [I've already decided; once Blake's illness is cured, you must treat me to something special.]
Jasper was silent for a moment, not responding.
After a long time, he took a deep breath.
Jasper: [Jason, Thomas is a dangerous person.]
Jasper: [This time, when you take people over, I have only one request.]
Jason: [What is it?]
Jasper: [Don't let Adeline get hurt.]
Looking at the message on his phone, Jason sighed.
Jason: [Got it!]
Soon, Jason's convoy caught up with Adeline's taxi.
Seeing them approaching in the rearview mirror, she finally relaxed a bit.
She took a deep breath and looked down at the signal on her phone.
The signal was nearby.
"Slow down." she said.
Sitting in the back seat, she carefully observed the nearby houses and frowned.
"Are you looking for someone?" The taxi driver glanced back at her. "I'm familiar with this area; who are you looking for?"
She quickly took out her phone from her pocket, finding and opening the photos of Grace and Mark Tim sent her.
She said, "Have you seen them before?"
The driver stopped the car and took the photos to look at them carefully.
"I've seen them!" He pointed towards a distant low-rent apartment building. "They live in that building."
"They are two foreigners who returned from abroad, their accents are very peculiar, and they left a deep impression on me!"
Adeline was overjoyed. She carefully observed the building the driver pointed to. "Do you know which floor they live on?"
He shook his head. "That I don't know. But if you give some money to the property staff, they might know."
She nodded seriously.
After the car stopped, she hurried to the property office and exchanged information for two hundred dollars.
Grace and Mark lived on the 18th floor of Building A, apartment 01.
Once everything was confirmed, Jason also arrived with his people.
They arrived at the door of apartment 1801. Just as everyone was ready, and Adeline was about to knock on the door, Jason frowned.
He raised his hand to stop her. "Something's off."
Adeline frowned. "What's off?"
Jason replied, "The smell is off."
He sniffed. "There's a strong smell of blood."
