Chapter 800 Was It Intentional?

Zara's fingers twitched slightly at her side.

Patty, who had finally stopped crying, curiously watched Zara's fingers and instinctively reached out to grab them.

Just as her small hand extended, Daisy intercepted it.

Holding Patty in her arms, Daisy's lips curled into a cold smile.

"Patty, you can't just touch anything. What bad luck."

With that, she stood up with the child, looking down at Zara's quiet form, her smile growing wider.

"I used to regret not killing you outright, giving you a chance to cling to life."

"But seeing you like this now, I think I made the right choice."

"If you were dead, how could you clearly feel the joy of me toying with your husband and daughter?"

Her voice grew more triumphant, and she laughed heartily, handing Patty to a servant before striding away.

Outside in the yard, Howard's face was flushed with anger as he glared at Adeline.

"Adeline, you will attend the wedding in three days, whether you want to or not!"

"I'll drag you there if I have to!"

Adeline had nearly finished her breakfast. She elegantly set down her fork and wiped her mouth.

"Dragging me there will prove the Phoebe family is harmonious and without conflict?"

"Do as you please, Mr. Phoebe."

"You!"

Howard pointed a trembling finger at Adeline's face, his whole body shaking.

"You and Oliver will be the death of me!"

"Dad!"

Seeing this, Daisy rushed over to support Howard, patting his chest to calm him down, her face full of grievance as she looked at Adeline.

"Adeline, if you really mind me being with Brandon and hate our child... You can tell me directly. Why make things difficult for Dad?"

"Since Mom passed away, Dad's health hasn't been good... If you have any complaints, take them out on me, not Dad!"

Adeline shot Daisy a cold glance before turning and walking into the house.

Linda shrugged, tidying up and ordering the nearby servants.

"We don't welcome outsiders here. Show them out."

The servants hesitantly approached Howard and Daisy.

"Please leave..."

Howard's face darkened instantly!

In Oceancrest City, he was a prominent figure. Even the Torres family had to show him respect and wouldn't dare to kick him out so directly!

But now, his own daughter was throwing him out!

Howard's chest heaved with anger.

Daisy sighed, gently soothing Howard's fragile heart.

"Alright, Dad, don't hold it against Adeline."

"Today was my fault. I shouldn't have brought Patty over."

Her voice took on a tearful tone.

"I didn't expect Adeline to still care so much after a month... And I brought Patty over just to let Mom see her, not to target her."

Daisy's words made Howard feel a pang of sympathy for his sensible daughter.

He sighed, gently ruffling Daisy's hair.

"You're the sensible one."

He glanced towards Adeline's room, a look of helpless frustration in his eyes.

"If only Adeline were half as sensible as you."

Daisy sighed, helping Howard into the car.

"Take it slow."

"My sensibility is thanks to the Phoebe family's upbringing."

"Adeline grew up in a poor family in Neon City. It's normal for her to lack manners."

Her words had a double meaning. On one hand, she pointed out Adeline's lack of proper upbringing. On the other hand, she subtly criticized Daniel and Helen's family background and character.

Howard nodded, feeling grateful he had kept Daisy by his side instead of sending her back to Daniel and Helen in Neon City. Otherwise, even sensible Daisy might have turned out like Adeline after spending so much time with them.

Perhaps because he was so angered by Adeline, Howard leaned back on the sofa seat and closed his eyes in exhaustion once they were in the RV. Daisy sat quietly beside him, holding Patty and looking out the window.

Suddenly, she saw a black sports car approaching from the opposite direction. The familiar license plate number jolted her awake. She knew this license plate well, not because she had seen it often, but because Brandon's people mentioned it almost 80% of the time when tracking Jasper.

This was Jasper's car. And they were on a country road near the outskirts. Jasper's car was heading towards Adeline's place... Realizing this, Daisy's eyes narrowed, and she walked over to the driver, whispering something in his ear.

The driver hesitated, eyes wide.

"But..."

"Hurry up!"

Seeing Jasper's car getting closer, Daisy urged coldly.

The driver had no choice but to take a deep breath and, as the two cars approached, he suddenly swerved the wheel. On the unmonitored country road, the two cars collided without warning.

The impact jolted Howard awake. Beside him, Daisy, holding Patty, had fallen to the floor from the force. She did her best to protect Patty, who was now crying in fear.

"Don't be scared, Patty, don't be scared..."

Daisy, playing the role of a loving mother, held Patty tightly, comforting her while tears streamed down her face.

"It's okay, it's okay!"

The scene infuriated Howard. The road was wide enough, and there weren't many cars. How could there be a sudden collision? What kind of driving was that?

Howard angrily got out of the car.

"Dad, don't argue with them. Maybe it wasn't intentional."

Daisy, holding the child, followed him out, pretending to be worried.

In the black sports car, Jasper closed his laptop, his eyes cold. The driver kept complaining.

"Mr. Foster, I was driving steadily. How did that RV suddenly crash into us?"

"Was it on purpose? And why would an RV be out here in the middle of nowhere?"

Jasper calmly adjusted his cufflinks, a faint, indifferent smile on his lips.

"They're here to stir up trouble."
