Chapter 518 Is This Bennett?

Jasper totally ignored Luna.

He grabbed the phone from Adeline and replayed the video.

The video was super clear. Luna, who kept saying she was allergic to shrimp, not only got close to the shrimp but even ate one. And she poisoned the dish too!

Jasper's eyes narrowed, and he shot a cold look at Luna. "Luna, you got something to say?"

He tossed the phone at her. "I'd love to hear your explanation!"

The phone hit Luna and then clattered to the floor.

Luna was still wearing the coat Jasper had given her because she said she was cold.

Luna bit her lip, shaking like a leaf. "Jasper."

"Luna," Adeline sneered. "Explain yourself. Deleting the video won't help you this time. Did you really think I'd be dumb enough to use just one phone to record?"

Adeline smoothly pulled out several pinhole cameras from the phone stand. "I've got plenty of evidence."

Luna's face went as white as the wall behind her!

She had underestimated Adeline! She thought Adeline was just using the phone to keep an eye on her, but she didn't expect... Adeline had rigged the whole phone stand!

Luna bit her lip and looked up at Jasper. "Jasper."

All she got was Jasper's furious glare.

He stared at her coldly. "Luna, how could you do this?"

Luna had been claiming all afternoon that she was allergic to shrimp and couldn't be near any. She was clearly setting up Adeline to take the fall for poisoning later that night.

In other words, Luna had planned to hurt Lily and then blame Adeline from the start!

Compared to Luna's actions, Adeline giving her a laxative was almost kind!

After all, Adeline didn't know how serious her condition was. To Adeline, a laxative would just make her have diarrhea all night!

"Jasper." Luna bit her lip hard, tears filling her eyes.

The confidence she had when accusing Adeline was long gone. Now, Luna was utterly humiliated. She bit her lip, speechless.

At this point, no explanation could clear her name. Finally, Luna just rolled her eyes and fainted.

Jasper frowned, watching her dramatic display, his eyes no longer showing any concern.

But just as Luna's body was about to hit the ground, he still caught her. "Doctor!"

No matter what, Luna had once saved Blake's life.

Seeing no doctor in the hallway, Jasper frowned and finally carried Luna in his arms, heading towards the emergency room.

Adeline stood there, watching Jasper and Luna disappear down the hall. The cold smile on her face slowly faded.

After a moment, Adeline smirked and picked up the phone that had fallen to the ground.

Her heart felt like it was being stabbed with a knife.

Even after Luna did such a thing, he still had to carry her to the emergency room. In his heart, Luna was important enough that even if Luna tried to harm his grandmother, he could look the other way, right?

Adeline just couldn't wrap her head around why Jasper was so into Luna. It was like he owed her his life or something. He valued her more than anything.

Watching this whole scene unfold, Adeline felt a wave of absurdity wash over her.

She had gone through so much trouble to reveal Luna's true colors.

And in the end, it didn't have the same impact as Luna fainting once.

Adeline clutched the phone that held all the evidence, feeling like she was holding her own lonely heart.

Even with the most damning evidence, what did it matter? Even if she proved Luna's malicious intent, what then?

In Jasper's heart, Luna was the most important, the absolute most important! No matter how hard Adeline tried, she couldn't dislodge Luna from his heart.

Thinking about this, Adeline closed her eyes, a bitter smile playing on her lips.

When Adeline left the hospital, it started pouring rain.

She didn't bother to hail a cab, just walked alone in the downpour.

The heavy rain took her back six years, to when she found out she was pregnant and also learned about Jasper and Molly.

That day, she had walked in the rain just like this.

Six years had passed, but it seemed like nothing had changed.

"Miss!"

Suddenly, an older woman's voice called out from behind.

Adeline frowned and turned around.

It was a middle-aged woman, probably in her forties or fifties.

She was holding an umbrella, hurrying after Adeline. "The rain is heavy. Our young master invites you to get in the car. He wants to take you home."

Adeline frowned, looking in the direction the woman had come from.

Sure enough, there was a black Bentley behind her.

The heavy rain blurred her vision; she couldn't make out the license plate. But she knew she had never seen this car before.

Adeline sniffed and shook her head. "No, thank you."

She wasn't in the habit of getting into strangers' cars and didn't need anyone's help to get home.

The middle-aged woman hesitated for a moment but then grabbed Adeline's wrist. "Miss, please get in the car. Our young master gave me strict orders to get you in the car. If you don't go, he'll punish me."

The woman pursed her lips and was silent for a moment. "Our young master rarely shows such kindness. Are you really going to turn it down?"

Adeline frowned and looked at the black Bentley again.

At that moment, the car's passenger window rolled down, revealing the familiar face of a six-year-old child.

Adeline's eyes widened instantly! It was Bennett!

Seeing Bennett's serious little face, Adeline immediately grabbed the woman's arm. "Take me there!"

According to Sebastian, Bennett had lost his memory and didn't remember her at all.

Even if he didn't remember her, Bennett was still willing to send someone to find her and take her home in this heavy rain! How could she not be excited?

The woman looked at Adeline, her eyes complicated. But Adeline was willing to get in the car, which was a relief for her!

The woman quickly held the umbrella and led Adeline to the car.

After the two women sat in the back seat, Adeline realized that the driver was actually Sebastian!
