Chapter 192 Two Can You Take It Off and Show Me?

Adeline's original plan with Jasper today was to visit several jewelry companies.

The agreed time was nine in the morning.

But it was already past ten, and the neighboring Jasper was still quiet.

Sitting in the room, Adeline hesitated for a long time, wondering whether to go and ask Jasper.
If she didn't go today, she wouldn't have to wait indefinitely.

"Jasper, thank you for being willing to accompany me today. In fact, I'm not in that much pain."

Just as she walked to the door, before she could knock, Stella's coquettish voice came from inside. "You go busy with your work."

"Not going."
The man's deep voice was extremely gentle. "Where does it hurt? Let me massage it for you."

"It still hurts a bit here, it's all your fault..."

"Alright, then I'll continue massaging for you."

The voices of the two, one sweet and gentle, with a hint of coquetry.

The other deep and affectionate, full of indulgence in his voice.

Adeline's hand, about to knock on the door, hesitated in mid-air.

After a long time, she forced a bitter smile and turned to leave.

When she reached the elevator, she met Ryan who had just come down the elevator.

"Ms. Wilson." Ryan stopped her. "By the way, the president asked me to inform you that today, because several vendors were not ready, the inspection has been rescheduled for tomorrow. You can go around, no need to wait for the president to work with you."

Adeline sneered, "I got it."

Whether it was because several vendors were unprepared, or Jasper wanted to stay at the hotel with Stella, she didn't know, and she didn't want to know.

Leaving the hotel, Adeline walked aimlessly on the streets alone.

This city was where she had lived for over a decade.

Back then, for Jasper, she had resolutely left this place.

Now, she was back with Jasper.

But...

In that man's arms, he held another woman.

How ironic.

Adeline walked in the city for a long time.

In one day, Adeline visited the schools she had attended before—elementary, middle school, high school.

She also visited the small restaurants she used to like, and the corners of the park.

She turned off her phone, and exhaustedly wandered until after ten at night before taking a taxi back to the hotel.

After using the room card to open the door, she unexpectedly found that the lights in her room were on.

The woman furrowed her brows, and as she looked up, she saw the man sitting on the sofa in her room, working earnestly.

"Do you not have a room, Mr. Foster?"

She turned around and opened the door wide. "It's late, Mr. Foster. You should avoid suspicion."

The woman's words made the man sitting on the sofa faintly curl his lips.

He put down the documents in his hand, with a hint of coldness in his lips as he glanced at her, "I have something to discuss with you. I've been waiting for you and Stella has fallen asleep again." I didn't want to disturb her sleep, so I just waited in your room."

Adeline sneered, continuing to stand at the door. "Since Ms. Foster and Mr. Foster have such a good relationship, and Ms. Foster is already asleep, you should go to sleep too. There's work to be done, let's talk when Ms. Foster wakes up tomorrow."

With a determined look to drive him away, Jasper's brows furrowed deeply.

"Close the door! Stella knows I'm here!"

Only then did Adeline snort and close the door, "Ms. Foster was calling someone a third party not long ago, when did she become so magnanimous?"

Jasper furrowed his brows but didn't respond.

He gestured for her to sit on the sofa. "Today, due to some reasons, the visits were unsuccessful, so all the schedules have been moved to tomorrow."

He handed the documents to Adeline. "These are the key factories I've marked for you. You understand design and materials, pay attention to the selection of these factories tomorrow. And…"

He handed another set of documents to Adeline. "These merchants, focus on their design styles and target audience for me."

Seeing that he was here to discuss work with her, Adeline couldn't be bothered to continue talking about personal matters.

The woman carefully read through the documents and made notes. "I'll remember."

"We leave at nine tomorrow morning, and we need to visit all these companies in one day." Jasper's voice was indifferent, devoid of emotion. "We'll have dinner with one of the vendors in the evening, remember to bring the antialcohol medication."

"Okay." Adeline lowered her head to look at the documents, casually asking, "Anything else?"

"There is."

The man sitting across from her shifted into a more comfortable position, his gaze heavy, "Have you been here before?"

The woman paused slightly.

After a moment, she smiled. "I've been living abroad, didn't you read the information, Mr. Foster?"

"So, is this your first time here?"

Adeline neatly put away the documents. "Of course."

Jasper leaned back on the sofa, looking lazy, his voice even more so. "But you only spent an afternoon today and strolled through half the city. With a calm pace and clear direction, I really couldn't tell that it was your first time here."

The man's words made Adeline pause abruptly.

She looked at Jasper, not knowing how to respond for a moment.

"But how did you contact him? The dates on those documents are from last night, obviously, he started collecting information after receiving your message."

The man stared at Adeline's face, finally locking his gaze on the necklace around her neck. "This necklace, I remember you and Bennett, Lauren, all have it. Can you take it off and show me?"
