Chapter 631 I'm Afraid She Won't Make It to the Hospital

Watching Molly's arrogant demeanor, Adeline smirked and went upstairs without acknowledging her.

Standing downstairs, Molly watched Adeline's back as she ascended, and in her fury, she swept everything off the dining table onto the floor!

She never imagined that things would not go as she had planned.

Molly had anticipated Bennett getting injured and being sent to a private hospital room for treatment.

But she hadn't expected that just as she and Nathan had caused Lily's illness to relapse, Jasper would use Lily's illness as an excuse to send Blake and Lauren away!

With all three children gone, what was the point of her moving in?

Sebastian had been rescued, and the children were not at home.

What could she use to continue threatening and targeting Adeline?

Thinking of this, she bit her lip hard and glanced at the pot of fish soup simmering on the stove, her eyes narrowing viciously.

After going upstairs, Adeline didn't go directly to her room but went to find Jasper.

Because Ryan was hospitalized, the company's secretary, Scarlett, was the one delivering documents to Jasper for review today.

Scarlett, who bore some resemblance to the former Adeline, had once been joked about as someone Jasper might fancy.

However, she had been Jasper's secretary for a long time, always doing marginal work and rarely getting close to him.

Now, Jasper had actually asked her to be responsible for delivering documents to his home in the future. Scarlett, feeling flattered, spent hours putting on makeup before hurrying over.

When Adeline pushed the door open, Scarlett was sitting in a very elegant and seductive pose on a chair, intently watching Jasper.

The Jasper she was staring at was leaning against the headboard, seriously looking at documents.

Seeing Adeline enter, Scarlett quickly stood up. "Miss Wilson."

Adeline looked Scarlett up and down, taking in her sexy and alluring suit, and couldn't help but smile, "You look very beautiful today."

Then she raised an eyebrow and glanced at Jasper, who was engrossed in his documents.

"Don't you think Scarlett looks especially beautiful today?"

Jasper finally looked up, frowned at Scarlett, and said, "The same as usual."

Scarlett's face fell instantly.

How could it be the same as usual!

She had put on makeup seriously today!

Her clothes were carefully chosen.

How could Jasper not notice her change?

Jasper, not noticing Scarlett's change in expression, elegantly put down the document in his hand, "It's getting late, let's call it a day."

Then he looked at Scarlett, "Do you need me to send a driver to take you home?"

Scarlett paused, then quickly nodded shyly, "That would be very kind of you, Mr. Foster."

Jasper nodded, picked up the phone, and began instructing the driver.

At this moment, there was a knock on the door.

A servant stood outside, holding a bowl of milky white fish soup, hands trembling as she spoke, "Mr. Foster, Miss Collins asked me to bring this up. She said the fish soup didn't taste good, so she asked me to bring it up for the woman in your room."

Adeline frowned, just about to ask the servant if it was for her, when Scarlett, overjoyed, rushed forward.

"Such delicious fish soup, are you sure it's for me?"

The servant paused and said, "Miss Collins just said it was for the woman in Mr. Foster's room."

Scarlett frowned and glanced at Adeline, then smiled, "Then it must be for me."

She had seen on the news how bad the relationship between Molly and Adeline was.

How could Molly possibly give Adeline fish soup?

So this fish soup must be for her!

Thinking this, Scarlett took the fish soup, "Thank Miss Collins for me!"

The servant hesitated for a moment but eventually handed her the fish soup and left.

Scarlett, excited, drank the fish soup while praising.

"Miss Collins is so kind! She knew I was working hard here and gave me fish soup to drink!"

Adeline looked at Scarlett helplessly.

In fact, she wanted to say that Molly might have intended the fish soup for her.

After all, if Molly genuinely wanted to win Scarlett over, she wouldn't have remarked that the fish soup tasted terrible or anything like that.

But it didn't matter.

She didn't really want to drink it anyway.

Soon, Scarlett finished the fish soup, said goodbye to Jasper, and left Blue Bay with a large stack of documents.

After she left, Jasper glanced at Adeline. "I told you, now that Molly has moved in, don't keep coming to see me."

Adeline looked up at Jasper. "I know. But there were some things I still wanted to say to you."

She took a deep breath, "What I wanted to say is, thank you."

Adeline silently held Jasper's hand, "I used to blame you for letting Molly move in, but that was narrow-minded of me, not thinking it through. If I had known that your condition for letting Molly move in was to send the children away, I wouldn't have blamed you at all."

Now there was only Molly here.

He could not only protect the children, but also keep track of Molly's movements every day.

Moreover, Molly had moved in so ostentatiously that the whole city knew. If she moved out now, the public opinion she had worked so hard to build would collapse instantly.

So now, Molly had no choice but to stay here.

Jasper took her hand and kissed it gently, then said softly, "It's not too late now that you know."

He continued, "I've arranged for Bennett and Sebastian to be in the same hospital. I'll be recovering from my injuries and won't leave the villa, and Molly will likely be here every day trying to pester me. If you don't want to see her every day, you can go back to work at the company, and in your free time, visit the hospital or see the children and Sebastian."

Adeline paused.

She hadn't expected him to be so considerate and arrange everything for her.

Adeline bit her lip and looked at him seriously.

"Didn't you used to hate seeing me interact with Sebastian? Why now?"

Jasper smiled, "Do you want to hear the truth?"

Adeline nodded.

Jasper closed his eyes, "Actually, I still hate seeing you interact with him. But I know what matters most. If it weren't for him, Bennett might not have come back to us alive. He's in his current state because of Bennett. He saved my child. How can I only care about my own feelings?"

Adeline was amused by his words and was about to say something when Jasper's phone rang.

It was the driver who had just been arranged to take Scarlett back to the company.

"Mr. Foster, something's wrong. Scarlett suddenly fell ill, and I'm taking her to the hospital. She looks so bad; I'm afraid she won't make it to the hospital."
