Chapter 805 Is Everything You Said True?

Oceancrest City General Hospital.

Howard, who had been admitted due to high blood pressure, was leaning against the headboard, eating oatmeal.

Daisy sat beside him, feeding him the oatmeal with a concerned look on her face.

"Dad, it's been a whole day. Are you feeling any better now?"

"You have to get better. My wedding with Brandon is in three days."

"If you're not well enough to attend, it's not a big deal, but Brandon and I will be worried about you, and the wedding won't be as happy."

Howard couldn't help but sigh at her words.

He gently patted Daisy's hand. "Don't worry, I'll be fine."

As she continued to feed him, she sighed. "Jasper is just too much!"

"Not only did he crash into our car, but he also treated you like this…"

She scooped another spoonful of oatmeal and brought it to Howard's mouth.

"Do you think he's been visiting Adeline every day?"

"How is it that every time we go to see Adeline, we run into him?"

"And the timing is always so coincidental. We leave, and he shows up."

"Anyone would think it's just a coincidence."

"But anyone who doesn't know better might think he and Adeline are still in contact, and she's the one asking him to come over."

Howard's eyes narrowed slightly at her words.

He let out a cold snort. "Yeah, how convenient."

The employees he sent to negotiate with Jasper had been staking out his usual spots for days without seeing him.

Yet, he ran into him on the way back from visiting Adeline.

He used to believe that Adeline wouldn't stay in touch with Jasper, knowing he might have killed Zara.

But now, the facts were forcing him to reconsider.

Seeing the anger in Howard's eyes, Daisy's own eyes narrowed slightly, knowing her attempt to sow discord had succeeded once again.

She quickly put on a kind expression. "But Dad, don't think too much about it. It's probably just a coincidence."

"Adeline is such a sensible person. How could she still want to see Jasper after what happened to her child?"

"She definitely wouldn't!"

Her words made Howard even angrier.

"Adeline, sensible? Nonsense!"

He had never seen Adeline act sensibly!

In her eyes, there was only Jasper, the man she once loved, only Jasper!

"Dad, don't get upset, don't get upset…"

At that moment, the door to the hospital room was kicked open.

In walked Brandon, looking exhausted and furious.

Brandon had come to confront Daisy.

But as soon as he saw Daisy feeding Howard oatmeal, he restrained his anger and put on a worried expression, glancing at Howard.

"Mr. Phoebe, how are you feeling?"

Howard couldn't help but laugh at his words.

"It's almost time for the wedding, and you're still calling me Mr. Phoebe?"

"The wedding is in three days. You should start getting used to calling me something else."

Brandon's eyes narrowed, and he forced a smile.

"Father."

Howard responded with satisfaction, then smiled warmly at him.

"Brandon, it's so late. Did you just finish work?"

Brandon nodded. "I just finished. I heard you and Daisy were in a car accident today, and you got hurt, so I came to check on you."

Howard couldn't help but feel touched by his words.

"You're so thoughtful."

"You and Daisy are both good kids, taking care of me and visiting me when I'm sick."

"Unlike some people... who know I'm hurt but haven't shown up all day!"

Adeline had witnessed everything today but hadn't shown up after sending Daisy to the hospital.

And Oliver, that ungrateful son.

No matter what, Oliver would only show up when he wanted to. Even if God himself came, he wouldn't visit his own father!

Thinking about those two disappointing children made Howard appreciate Daisy and Brandon even more.

He held Daisy's hand with one hand and Brandon's with the other.

"You're both good kids!"

"Don't worry, even if it kills me, I'll be at your wedding in three days to witness your marriage!"

Howard's words were heartfelt.

Brandon smiled and agreed, but a hint of impatience flashed in his eyes.

After a while, Daisy finally finished feeding Howard.

Howard, being old and exhausted from the past few months, and injured by Jasper today, quickly fell asleep after eating.

Once he was asleep, Brandon furrowed his brow and roughly grabbed Daisy's arm, dragging her out of the room.

In the hallway, he let go of her arm with a harsh shove.

"You took Patty to see Adeline today?"

"And you ran into Jasper and got into a car accident?"

Daisy rolled her eyes at his questions.

She crossed her arms. "You already know, so why ask me?"

Brandon's eyes narrowed, his voice filled with anger, each word practically forced through gritted teeth.

"You're getting more and more reckless!"

"Didn't I tell you not to take Patty to see Adeline?"

"Are you ignoring what I say?"

Daisy sneered at Brandon's anger.

"What, are you feeling sorry for her?"

"Worried that your precious Adeline will be sad and upset after seeing Patty, so you can't bear it?"

She knew it!

Brandon still had feelings for Adeline!

Otherwise, why hadn't he touched her since they got engaged?

And after that incident with the drug, he only agreed to the engagement but never mentioned a wedding date.

If she hadn't been clever and faked a pregnancy to force Brandon to marry her for the sake of the child, she wouldn't be his wife now!

Her words made Brandon laugh coldly.

He grabbed Daisy's chin and pinned her against the hard wall of the hallway.

"Is your mind only filled with these romantic fantasies?"

"Do you not understand why I don't want you taking Patty to see Adeline?"

"Patty is Adeline and Jasper's biological daughter. If you keep flaunting her in front of them, what do you think will happen if they recognize her?"

Daisy rolled her eyes. "How could they recognize her so easily?"

"Patty is just a child. What could they possibly see?"

She sneered.

"Brandon, stop making excuses."

"You're mad at me for taking Patty to see Adeline because you care about Adeline!"

"What a joke."

Brandon laughed coldly.

He let go of her chin and elegantly adjusted his collar.

"If I really cared about Adeline, I wouldn't have disfigured her face with a knife while she was unconscious."

As soon as he finished speaking, a gasp came from the direction of the elevator.

Brandon and Daisy turned their heads simultaneously.

Adeline and Linda were standing at the elevator.

Linda had her hand over her mouth in shock.

Adeline's eyes were narrowed, fixed on Brandon's face.

"Is what you said true?"
